Megyn Kelly Addresses White Santa
Remarks, Slams Critics’ ‘Knee-Jerk
Instinct’ to ‘Race-Bait’

Mediaite, by Josh Feldman

Megyn Kelly got quite a bit of attention for a segment she did Wednesday night on the unbearable whiteness of Jesus and Santa Claus. Kelly said she was just being “tongue-in-cheek” with her remarks and wasn’t at all being serious, lamenting the humorlessness of her critics in the media. Kelly played a montage of the most critical bits of her initial segment, taking particular note of her critics’ “knee-jerk instinct” to “race-bait,” making it clear she was not “motivated by any racial fear or loathing.” Kelly was roundly mocked for the segment, not only on Comedy Central, but on cable news competitors

Comments:
As you would have expected, Megyn handled the matter with grace, dignity and no harsh language. I dispute what Mediate says in the blub over the video that she "slams" critics. She is everything leftists hate. She´s bright, beautiful, has a wonderful husband and three precious children and is a highly successful woman. No wonder they hate her. Their jealously and envy are showing.

Nicely done Megyn. I guess I can´t go to the New Years costume party this year as Little White Sambo. Guess I´ll have to deal with it.

One thing about it - she has the venue to address everything on equal footing with her "critics". They can´t get away scot-free with sliming her.

She was emphatic on the prior show that both Santa was white and Jesus was white. Emphatic. And she made sure she got her point across. I really like Megyn, but this was a bad mistake on her part. It´s no wonder she came across today attempting to defend herself and bring someone else in on it. You blew this one Megyn, and you know it.

Cher is black.
Lady Gaga is black.
Megyn Kelly is black.

There - so nobody in the "progressive" reality-based community need be offended anymore.

I triple guarantee you that Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, St. Nick, whichever, is white. He was from the northern part of Europe where the people were white. Clement C. Moore when he wrote "The Night Before Christmas" never had a thought in his head that Saint Nick was anything but white. That is just the way it was. Now if black folks want to have black Santas, what do I care? But the original was definitely white.

Nope, sorry, nice try--thank you for playing.

I watched both segments. If Megyn really thinks she was being humorous, she is quite mistaken. If she intended to be humorous, she did a poor job. Her original, ham-handed remarks, that Santa is white, came across poorly.

Trying to back up and defend herself by claiming she spoke satirically, does not fly.

I like Megyn, but cannot go along with her on this one (even though Santa may well be white...).

#7, actually St. Nick was from Turkey, probably of Greek descent. He would be called white, but he probably wouldn´t look anything like Nordic persuasion.

History aside, Santa Claus is a Northern European invention. Most traditions had him as an elderly White man, not counting whatever country had him as a troll. He´s been adapted as part of the Christmas tradition worldwide and some changes made along the way, but it doesn´t change the fact he came from Northern Europe, a very melanin-challenged population.

Author’s Note: This week, capitulating to Islamic-supremacist agitation led by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Brandeis University reneged on its announced plan to present an honorary degree to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the heroic human-rights activist. In my 2010 book, The Grand Jihad, I devoted a chapter to the origins and purposes of CAIR, its roots in the Muslim Brotherhood’s Hamas-support network, and its aim to silence critics of Islamic supremacism. In light of the continuing success of this campaign — despite a federal terrorism-financing prosecution that exposed CAIR’s unsavory background — it is worth revisiting that history. Despite the testimony of GM CEO Mary Barra that the company "acted without hesitation" to address the ignition switch problems that served as the basis for the latest recall of millions of vehicles, emails show that GM failed to address product problems, some of which Barra herself seemed fully aware of, at least as far back as 2011. The company, often derided as "Government Motors" because of the billions of tax dollars infused into it by President Obama, has been under fire this month because of ignition switch problems linked to dozens of crashes and perhaps as many as 13 deaths.

SAN DIEGO, CA -- Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke via satellite to attendees of San Diego’s Western Healthcare Leadership Academy on Apr. 11, just days after canceling plans to attend in person. Two protest groups gathered outside the San Diego Convention Center for the conference, but for two different reasons. One group of 10-15 demonstrators, promoting a single-payer healthcare system, stood across from the Convention Center. While playing a recording of the folk tune “Medicare for All,” the group spoke to passing pedestrians for approximately two hours. The other protest, directly in front of the Convention Center,

But, in a filing Monday to the nation´s highest court, it said an appeal should first be considered by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals because there is no imminent risk that the cross is removed. A new report by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service finds that solar facilities in California are acting like “mega traps” that kill and injure birds. As a result, “entire food chains” are being disrupted. USFWS’s National Fish and Wildlife Forensics Laboratory studied three solar farms in Southern California: Desert Sunlight, Genesis Solar and Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System (ISEGS). Two-hundred and thirty-three different birds from 71 species were found over the course of a two-year study. The three main causes of death were: 1. Solar flux: Exposure to temperatures over 800 degrees F. 2. Impact (or blunt force) trauma:

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it.
