O-Care contractor to

The Hill [Washington, DC], by Jonathan Easley

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) announced Friday that an ObamaCare contractor would comply with a subpoena he issued, despite efforts by the Obama administration and some Democrats to keep the documents out of his hands. After consulting with its legal counsel, MITRE Corp., a contractor working to assess security issues with the ObamaCare website, determined that it “has no alternative but to comply with the terms of a Congressional subpoena absent some form of judicial intervention.” MITRE was the second ObamaCare contractor to say on Friday it would comply with the disputed subpoena, following CSSi. “MITRE’s decision is

Comments:
Despite what the regime was telling them they finally complied. It remains to be seen what they furnish Issa. It´s really incredible that the insufferable Elijah Cummings said "Issa couldn’t be trusted with the documents because he’s displayed a “reckless pattern” of leaking confidential information..." I utterly despise these Democrats. It´s extremely obvious they have no desire to fix this mess and have no empathy whatsoever for the suffering they are causing to so many innocent Americans.

Both MITRE, and CSS employ honorable people, and are run by people as honorable as any large company, that pays people below a living wage while paying it´s high officials in the millions. They don´t want to break the law, they don´t want to obstruct Congress. They also do not want to lose this huge contract.

Apparently a lot of companies in the DC area are involved in the ACA. I have worked for some of them, and with others. The employees are just like you and I. Good honest people who have to make a living in a very expensive part of the country. I´m sure they want to do the right thing.

ACA will die a natural death if no one uses it. It is capitalism turned against its master. Pray the free market system dumps this monstrosity and it is crushed by its own weight.

The problem lies in the fact that there is no consequence in defying Congress. I.E. Eric Holder has been convicted of "Contempt of Congress." Of the hundreds of thousands of documents concerning Fast and Furious that were subpoenaed by Issa and Congress, less than 1400 heavily redacted pages arrived were delivered. Some of the pages were TOTALLY blackened/redacted.

So, What is the remedy? There is none. Congress has absolutely no power. Yes, they can call for an independent counsel. Now that´s a real remedy. The counsel for the Clinton crimes has after twenty years not been wrapped up with some attorneys still on that payroll. Need I say more?

I admire Congressman Issa for his continued pursuit of the truth. I really do. But when are we going to see indictments? When are some of these criminals going to be cuffed and jailed? Fast & Furious, Benghazi, etc., etc., etc. A parade of blatant lawlessness and no real consequences yet.

The first real indictment or jail term will finally burst the dam. Do it.

´The administration says it’s concerned about the MITRE documents leaking because they “include software code and other technical information that is highly sensitive” and could give hackers “a roadmap to compromise the security of the website and the personal information of American citizens.”

BS - include software code and other technical information. What a crock. They are not asking for source code, but for documents. Especially ones that concern problems faced and commands issued to push ahead and ignore the issues "for the time being".

U.S. employers added jobs at a solid pace in March in the latest sign that the economy is rebounding from a weak stretch brought on by a harsh winter. The Labor Department says employers added 192,000 jobs, slightly below February´s total of 197,000. Employers also added a combined 37,000 more jobs in February and January than previously estimated. The unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.7 percent. But a half-million Americans started looking for work last month, and most of them found jobs. Immigration reform advocates are fond of citing broad support for their cause. But in fact the coalition behind the Senate Gang of Eight comprehensive reform bill is fragile and loosely cobbled together. How could Big Labor and the Chamber of Commerce and the tech world and Big Agriculture all unite behind one bill? Very tentatively. It wouldn´t take much to break the coalition apart. And if that happens, the effort to enact comprehensive immigration reform could blow up, not just for the moment, but for some time to come. And there are signs that is exactly what is occurring now.
