It´s war! Senate gears up for epic
battle as ZERO Republicans line up
to support budget agreement (and
Democrats need to find at least five)

A landmark budget agreement that passed in the U.S. House on Thursday faces certain death in the Senate unless at least five Republicans step up to support it--but so far there are no takers at all. The GOP´s Senate leaders plan to launch a procedural effort to kill the plan over a laundry list of objections--including a claim that it short-changes military veterans and other government retirees. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin conceded that he needs to find Republicans who will vote for the measure after Republicans announced their intention Thursday night to block the deal. ´We need Republican votes to pass

I think the Dems are more afraid of a shutdown than they are letting on.

It would be amazing if the Senate Republicans finally decided to be a true opposition party. Maybe Harry Reid´s latest overreach on judicial filibusters finally woke them up.

Maybe the speaker was too quick to disparage the position of conservatives regarding the recent budget "agreement." Looks as though the only progressive yahoos agreeing are the speaker, his house RINO butt wipes, the people´s democrat national socialist party members of the senate and of course, our dear scamster in cheat himself.
We need to primary every RINO that rolled over on ryan´s fiscal give-a-way/sequestion emasculation.

It´s a sad day when the dumbest Dem in the Senate (Patty Murray who said bin Laden has been “out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day care facilities, building health care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. We haven’t done that.”)

outflanks the ´´smartest´´ Gopper in the House -Paul (Green Arrow) Ryan, hero of the poor immigrants.

Some GOP Senators will fold, bill will pass.

Getting those Senate votes may require a few bribes from the White House but a President has many favors to dispense.

e.g. maybe the Senator´s daughter would like to be a federal judge?

Otherwise Reid will change the Senate rules again. Harry likes nuclear, he just doesn´t like nuclear at Yucca Mountain.

The article says that because no Republicans have publicly said how they´ll vote , as of Thursday night - it means that not a single Republican Senator
will eventually support Paul Ryan´s budget.
The Democrats have 55 seats in the Senate.
They only need 5 Republican votes.
The shutdown hurt Republicans , it accomplished absolutely nothing and another stunt like a potential filibuster by Senate Republicans
will further erode the chances of
retaking the Senate in 11 months.
Boehner never mentioned the Tea Party ,
he said " outside groups ".
Even if all 62 Republican votes in the House
against the budget were Tea Party,
they still only make up about 1/7 th of the total House members.
233 Republicans to 200 Democrats.
The Tea Party is the minority on the Republican side of the House , in the minority of the total House
and the minority in the Senate.
That´s a political and mathematical fact.
The budget is not that big of a deal in the scheme of things and it´s not the horror the outside groups are making it out to be.
As they make everything out to be.
I believe Paul Ryan is a man of integrity and reality.
I trust him, I do not trust the outside groups like Freedom Works and the SCF.
The big deal is the Senate next year and if the Senate Republicans filibuster , for the mere sake of filibustering ,
it reinforce the negative impressions of Republicans and
it will bring any gains
on we´ve made on Obamacare to a halt.

Excuse me? Our current debt is over 17 trillion dollars. Three trillion of that has occurred in the last three years. Coincidentally, the same amount of time it has been since Congress has passed a Constitutionally mandated budget.

Take a breath #17.

Your first mistake is to equate politics (subjective and always changing) with math (precise and absolute). The math is a result of the politics. One GOP mention of abortion and God in the same sentence and politics changes the math quite rapidly, do you agree?

But to play along...

My math book says the Tea Party and those who support their ideals is a majority of the people and math says there are a whole lot more of us then them and many of us are armed and have quite enough. Do you think this political reality changes the math a bit?

This article and the fact that the GOP Senators are seeming to stand straight on this is a great indicator that my math beats your math - and those cowards in DC are crapping their pants now and scrambling to do what is good and faithful in OUR eyes.

Putting your political and mathematical facts aside do you really think that these guys are going to stand against this because they are good conservatives and this budget agreement is against their core conviction and principals? If it was not for the Tea Party and that small minority in Congress you seem to so easily dismiss with math, we wouldn´t be having this conversation and our political lords would sign another blank check without blinking.

What, prey tell, is influencing EVERYTHING that is being thought about, discussed and presented in Congress today? Global Warming? Where is the ONLY principled leadership coming from in DC if not from that small minority of tea Party members you seem to brush aside with fuzzy math.

Can you be honest with yourself?

What you see as a small minority of Tea Partiers in Congress I see as a fulcrum for we the people.

Their answer: The immaculately conceived Clinton child could mean everything. And no, it’s not just the fact that having a grandchild could be personally fulfilling to Hillary and Bill (mazel tov, by the way), or that a cute baby would be a sweet cherry on top of Hillary’s already
