Liberals discuss the need to end
´Christian privilege´ in the
name of religious freedom

Washington Examiner, by Joel Gehrke

It´s settled, then: Christian conservatives use religion as a justification for their discriminatory behavior, and Americans will only enjoy true religious freedom when their so-called "religious liberty" claims are defeated. That was the consensus Thursday at a panel discussion sponsored by the Center for American Progress in Washington. "People [are] using the term ´liberty´ when they really mean ´my liberty, your slavery,´" the Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy, president of the Interfaith Alliance, said during the discussion. He made the statement while arguing that liberals´ view of religious liberty springs from a true, originalist reading of the Constitution that was

I speak, read and write English like a native but I´ll be damned, breaded, rolled and toasted to a golden brown if I know what these people are talking about.

Is there a new kind of English that I am not aware of ?

It´s very simple. The Progressives like to take the Bill of Rights one thing at a time. That way they can make up stuff in between the one thing and the other and actually craft rulings for the courts that have the opposite effect.

That´s been going on for a long time ~ certainly all the way back to the early days in the reign of Louis XIV, but likely in ancient Sumer and Egypt and even China at the same stage of literacy ~ at least at the top.

However, there are three Huguenot Amendments ~ the First, the Second and the Third. You have to take them together to arrive at the correct conclusion, but if you understand the history of the way the Sun King took away and destroyed religious tolerance and liberty in France, you can see the path.

My own way of wrapping them together is to say that they make being a Protestant normal and proper, even in the face of a tyrant. Catholics are not excluded from coming to the understanding in terms of their own religious liberty to be left alone by the fascist state ~

Right now the Third, about prohibiting the quartering of soldiers in your home ~ Louis XIV did that to force Protestants to attend mass at a Catholic church. A small matter of course, but he´d take away their children, have his soldiers rape their wives and daughters in front of their eyes, and even murder them for fun. The analogy is, of course, to force Catholics to pay for other´s condoms...... or to murder babies.

The Third and The First are balanced on the fulcrum of The Second and it´s time to pursue our God given natural rights quite aggressively ~ particularly if the Progressives are sounding exactly like Louis XIV.

And another thing. The baker was tolerant of others and would have gladly served homosexuals. That was not the issue. They were asking the baker to PROMOTE homosexuality. That is a violation of religious liberty and the homosexuals knew it.

There is a big difference in what we PERMIT and what we PROMOTE.

These are lost men and women, but as Jesus said about their kind, "you belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father´s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

There is nothing new under the sun. We have been blessed to enjoy the times of peace and prosperity we have had under God´s grace. Don´t fear those who can kill the body, fear Him who can cast both the body and soul into the eternal pit. Seriously, take heart. All is not lost. We live under the threat of evil, but those in Christ will prevail in the end.

This would be the "privileged Christianity" that lets a tiny minority of Christians in society tell atheist professors in the universities that they cannot present the atheist Karl Marx as authoritative when those professors teach young skulls full of mush.

Perhaps it´s the same "privileged Christianity" that has been forcing atheists and Muslims to pray Christian prayers in public schools and to read the Bible.

Oh, wait...

It´s *Muslim* propaganda that is the state-endorsed curriculum. Only the atheist dogma is permitted in the tax-supported government schools, asserting that the scientific method excludes God.

I believe the Founding Fathers (and certainly my heavenly Father) would rather see America return to *protection* of religious freedom, *not* suppression of it.
