The health director who approved the release of President Obama’s birth certificate has died in a plane crash, Hawaiian officials said Thursday. Loretta Fuddy died after the Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft she was travelling on went down shortly after leaving Kalaupapa Airport at around 3:15 p.m. local time (10:15 a.m. ET) on Wednesday. The other eight people on board were rescued, Richard Schuman, president of Makani Kai Air, told NBC News early Thursday, adding that that there was no indication as to why the plane had crashed. Fuddy hit the headlines two years ago when she approved a waiver request allowing Obama to

OP, I am not a ´birther´ (as you so snidely state), but please tell me why it is so far fetched to think; given what we know about Uhhbama´s America hating Mom, that she wanted to ´gift´ her child with African citizenship and saving him from(in her mind) the ills of being an ´American"?

Even her grandparents chose a state that is most UNlike the rest of America in which to live.

All things being equal, had Barry been born in Kalamazoo, MI on the 4th of July, he still wouldn´t be American so where the egg actually broke is irrelevant but the idea is not worthy of so much derision.

At 65 she would be ready for retirement and the threat of firing and loss of her pension would no longer buy her silence. Loose lips sink ships, and apparently airplanes too.

Perhaps I am slow this morning, but I see nothing derisive about the OP comment. It is factual. This will give a lot of people something to wonder about. Too bad the term "birthers" erupted and has become an epithet. Wanting to know whether the president was actually born in the United States is a legitimate concern, not something to be characterized as kooky. Those who do so are playing right into Obie´s hands. But I didn´t see OP doing that here.

I think its dangerous and wrong to let the left play the Alinsky game of ridiculing the opposition into submission rather than facing them on the facts. Just because it "aint cool" to discuss the birth issue doesn´t make it irrelevant nor does it make those not satisfied with the alleged answers idiots or wackobirds, or..... I do think using the term "birther" plays to the script designed to discredit those who would dare to disagree with the socially acceptable leftist point of view. I take no offense but would rather not be gamed by the left and their propaganda machine.

Too bad this post had to start with a violation of Reagan´s 11th Commandment. "Birther" is the same as calling someone "fool" and everyone on here knows that.

My personal opinion is I don´t know where B0 was born but I believe he was adopted by Soetero in Indonesia, went to school (if he did) in the U.S. as a foreign student and got fake papers made when he became useful to the American communist-left. You can´t undo an adoption and get your original birth certificate back - I know that as fact. I think it explains a lot about all the oddities in 0bama´s paper trail. If you want to call me a "birther" for my theories go ahead but, believe me, I have a choice name for name-callers.

Clear, logical and independent thinking would cure most leftist ´thinking´ and, therefore, must be discredited as a an old white man´s trick.

Had Ron Brown known how imperiled his aircraft was he might have decided not to waste that very expensive and hard to find .45ACP round.

You read through the Clinton Body Count documents and you find this airplane trick wasn´t the most complex thing possible.

There´s Betty Curry´s brother. He was killed crossing a highway. Hit by two trucks, one going one way and the other going the other way.

Then there´s Ron Brown. That hole in his skull was certainly signature Clinton ~ but they had bad weather, night time conditions, strange airfield, etc ~ pretty much that later flight more recently that killed Poland´s president.

Now that one was something else ~ way beyond Clintonian in fact. Makes me wonder sometimes if Ron Brown was taken out by the Russians just to send a message.

´S = o "des", which is the archaic form of "of the."

OE is the Bhassa spelling of OII, the most common Chinese name on the planet.

TERO looks sort of grammatical. No doubt we have someone here who can translate it for us

If Bill Clinton’s political camp was known for believing the right wing was out to get him, then this undated memo from his administration codified his team’s suspicions. The memo was released today in the latest, thousands-of-pages-long batch of Clinton White House documents to be posted online by the William J. Clinton Presidential Library & Museum. The National Archives have been releasing tranches of Clinton documents, previously withheld under the Presidential Records Act, every two weeks this spring. KUALA LUMPUR - About 100 Malaysian Muslim activists protested on Friday outside the US embassy against the coming visit by President Barack Obama, denouncing him as an enemy of Islam. The demonstration underscored the delicate nature of Obama´s trip to Muslim-majority Malaysia, which will make him the first siting US president to visit in nearly half a century, a period marked by mutual distrust. The protesters marched to the embassy in Kuala Lumpur from a nearby mosque after Friday afternoon prayers, shouting "God is great" and "Obama is the enemy of the Prophet Muhammad." The two bombers who killed and maimed innocent people at the Boston marathon a year ago had come as refugees to America, from conflicts that America and her people did nothing to cause. They had been granted the privileges of a law-abiding democracy, including education, health care and the precious freedoms for which Americans have fought in two world wars. Their situation was incomparably better than it would have been, had they stayed behind in Chechnya. Among the many privileges that they enjoyed religious freedom was by no means the least important. A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

I began reading the entirety of the first section of the New York Times at nine years old, and continued that practice, more or less, for decades.(snip) ...the power of reverence, intrinsic to what I call the “cascade” of The Times: the near avalanche-like flow and distribution of information through electronic and print networks: through like-minded network newscasts, magazines, local newspaper s, blogs, daytime talk TV, late-night entertainment, statements at media award ceremonies, the celebrity Twitterverse, etc. The cascade rolls through Saturday Night Live, Jon Stewart, The New Yorker, the mouths of third-grade teachers, Elmo, Madonna and Susan Sarandon …through

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this
