Stockman: Budget deal a ´joke and betrayal´
CNBC, by Jeff Morganteen

Original Article

Posted By:trapper, 12/11/2013 9:53:15 PM

House Republicans "capitulated" in agreeing to the two-year budget deal reached last night and left the country to deal with an unsustainable fiscal situation until the peak of the presidential primaries in 2015, when nothing will get done, former federal budget director David Stockman told CNBC on Wednesday. "First, let´s be clear—it´s a joke and betrayal," Stockman, who served under President Ronald Reagan, said on "Squawk on the Street." "It´s the final surrender of the House Republican leadership to Beltway politics and kicking the can and ignoring the budget monster that´s hurtling down the road."

First amnesty, now this. The Great Betrayal of 2013.

I like reality Stockman. Everyone agreed to a deal in 2011. They kicked the can then until 2013 and 2014, but at least we finally succeeded in very small limitations on government growth. It ain´t broke, don´t fix it. The discretionary spending is capped by the 2011 deal. The Dems won´t touch entitlements. Pass a continuing resolution in the House according to the cap agreed to in 2011 and go home.

The republicans wasted the shutdown option in Oct., so it only follows that they would be taken to the woodshed in this budget deal.

Despite people´s outright hatred of Obamacare, there was no national
rally of support for Ted Cruz standing up against it. Without positive feedback from the public, the republicans always find themselves boxed in a corner.

There can´t be anything more absurd than portraying Ryan as some sort of budget genius. How he got picked for Romney´s running mate is still a mystery to me.He couldn´t even deliver his own state.

He beat it out of D.C. as quickly as possible to line his own pockets.
Let´s elect a veto proof republican congress, and get to work. We can wait a year.

2014 will be a chance to get conservatives back & the liberal repubs out. As long as Boehner is the non leader we are doomed. Ryan is a big disappointment . 99%
of the posts on other sites are against Ryan, big time. Oh, but the non media loves Ryan & Boehner.

Why Westernized Muslims

A new Danish statistical study finds that “Muslims [are] 218 percent more criminal in second generation than first.” While some of these crimes are clearly related to Islam – such as attacks on Muslim apostates to Christianity – others, such as rampant theft against non-Muslims, would appear banal, until one realizes that even robbery and plunder are justified by Islamic doctrine – as one U.K. Muslim cleric once clearly said. The interesting question here is why second-generation Muslims, who are presumably more Westernized than their Muslim parents, are also more “radical.”

In 2011 Barack Obama led an allied military intervention in Libya without consulting the US Congress. Last August, after the sarin attack on the Damascus suburb of Ghouta, he was ready to launch an allied air strike, this time to punish the Syrian government for allegedly crossing the ‘red line’ he had set in 2012 on the use of chemical weapons.? Then with less than two days to go before the planned strike, he announced that he would seek congressional approval for the intervention. The strike was postponed as Congress prepared for hearings, and subsequently cancelled when Obama accepted Assad’s

The United States is planning to give up its last remaining authority over the technical management of the Internet. The Commerce Department announced Friday that it will give the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), an international nonprofit group, control over the database of names and addresses that allows computers around the world to connect to each other. Administration officials say U.S. authority over the Internet address system was always intended to be temporary and that ultimate power should rest with the "global Internet community." CPAC presented a panel on immigration today. I wasn’t there, but this report suggests that the panel was an improvement over last year’s, which was basically a cheerleading session for amnesty and a path to citizenship. Unlike last year, today’s panel included one member, Derrick Morgan of the Heritage Foundation, who opposes that agenda. The panel was supposed to discuss this question: “Can there be meaningful immigration reform without citizenship?” The answer is “yes” if one believes that amnesty represents meaningful immigration reform.

A U.S. appeals court on Wednesday ordered Google Inc to remove from its YouTube video-sharing website an anti-Islamic film that had sparked protests across the Muslim world. By a 2-1 vote, a panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday rejected Google´s assertion that the removal of the film "Innocence of Muslims," amounted to a prior restraint of speech that violated the U.S. Constitution. The plaintiff, Cindy Lee Garcia, had objected to the film after learning that it incorporated a clip she had made for a different movie, which had been partially dubbed and in which she

One snowflake failed to transform -- except on Russian TV, which, per London´s Telegraph, opens magically as Putin watches coolly. Fakery has always been a Russian specialty; brutality another.

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'
