A tense exchange erupted during a congressional hearing into the problems associated the Affordable Care Act’s online insurance exchanges. Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) probed Health and Human Services Sec. Kathleen Sebelius over whether the ACA’s payment and enrollment systems are functioning, given reports which indicate they are not. He let out a heavy sigh when Sebelius insisted that “The [Federally-Facilitated Marketplace] hub has worked beautifully from start to finish.” Burgess quizzed Sebelius about a private accountability report she commissioned six months prior to the website’s launch which indicated that the ACA exchanges website was going to experience a number of

i went on the site this morning. I was curious about the prices now that they appear to being more "honest" about what you can expect. I was paying $400 a month for a policy I was happy with. Then the premiums were doubled and I could no longer afford the plan (it was the cheapest offered, employer would not pay any more toward premiums). obama wants me to pay $1,220 a month with a tripled deductible. And this was for the cheapest plan. IT IS NOT THE WEBSITE! The plan closest to my old one is $20,000 a year, for two people. IT IS THE PRODUCT! I will not pay for this cow pie and stick it out like we did the past year. I will take my chances. I cannot give a third of my income over to the dems so they can buy votes with free birth control and cancer screening. NOTHING is FREE. Sebelius is frustrated well lady welcome to my world.

Our daughter attended a residential ballet high school in Canada, and I was able to purchase, in Canada, an insurance policy with worldwide coverage for her, for about 150 dollars a month.
I have to wonder if that would be a way for U.S. Citizens to beat the ridiculous Kenyacare premiums. Since the purchase takes place in Canada, Barack´s insane rules would not apply.

´Ruthless´ Hillary Clinton returns
as the ´90s make a comeback
Los Angeles Times, by Cathleen Decker    Original Article

The ‘90s are back, all but the shoulder pads and bad hair, and Hillary Rodham Clinton is right in the middle of it once more, as much cultural avatar as political potentate. The decade that brought unending political scandals -- as well as the best economy that the nation has had in ages, by many markers -- started to resurface a couple of weeks ago when potential presidential candidate Rand Paul, the senator from Kentucky, took indirect aim at Clinton over her husband’s relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky. Then, this week, came a piece on the Washington Free

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., is launching an investigation into the White House´s decision to reopen its political office. The White House announced it was reopening its political office -- renamed the Office of Political Strategy and Outreach -- last month to better coordinate with Democrats and aid the party´s candidates with messaging and fundraising ahead of the 2014 midterms. The unit is being headed by David Simas, a longtime Obama adviser who helped develop the administration´s Obamacare messaging. In his letter to Carolyn Lerner at the Office of the Special Counsel, Issa questioned if tax dollars would be

It has been more than sixteen years since the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal. The 22-year-old White House intern is now a low-profile 40-year-old. The once-embattled President Bill Clinton has assumed a postpresidential role as global philanthropist and the first lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton, is now a former senator, a former secretary of state, and a potential 2016 presidential candidate. And yet, it seems difficult these days to escape the scandal that rocked the late 1990s and led to Mr. Clinton’s impeachment. In response to attacks on the Republican Party as waging a “war on women,” Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky

Democrats are picking up where they left off in 2013, lying to the public about Obamacare. The president says his signature program has signed up more than nine million Americans so far through the state exchanges and Medicaid expansion. He´s made this claim on numerous occasions, including last month´s State of the Union address, and during his Super Bowl Sunday conversation with Bill O´Reilly. We´ve noted that the president´s math doesn´t add up; his exchange enrollment figures don´t factor in a substantial subset of non-payments, which experts estimate to be in the vicinity of 600,000. Powerful winds in the Pacific Ocean, which have driven surface heat deep underwater, could be the reason behind the current ‘pause’ in global warming. This is according to a joint Australian and U.S. study which has looked at why there has been a slowdown in the planet’s global average surface temperature over the past decade. Their research shows that trade winds in central and eastern parts of the Pacific have caused warm surface water to sink to the ocean´s depths, reducing the amount of heat in the atmosphere. Last year, scientists on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said the pace of
