A series of intimate behind-the-scenes photos aboard Air Force One have revealed the moment George W. Bush proudly showed off his artwork to Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama - and they look impressed. Other images reveal him sharing a joke with the president and casually chatting ahead of dinner as they flew to South Africa for Nelson Mandela´s memorial service. The luxury aircraft hosted a political reunion on Monday, as the two Presidents and three first ladies - Laura Bush, Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton - were on board. The Obamas retired to the President´s office and regular cabin at

Oh, stop it. A long flight with people who know each other and so they socialize. I, for one, hope the Bush niceness rubbed off on the others. It probably didn´t but no harm in trying.

I really miss the eloquence and class both George W and Laura have. Michelle got off the plane dressed in a sweater that would fit a six year old. Who dresses this woman? Why is Michelle such an angry person? She should be grateful that the taxpayers are paying all her expenses and letting her take so many expensive, lavish, and luxurious vacations. I really miss Laura.

Notice the shot of both couples leaving the plane. Dubya carries an umbrella so it mostly protects Laura and they look like a couple. With the Obama´s Michelle is the one carrying the umbrella, she is making no effort at all to protect Barack from the rain and although he has her arm, they seem to be in separate worlds.

The Bush presidents are class acts. And they respect the person who holds the presidency. George W. Bush, who has been dissed by Hillary, on at least two occasions (One during his State of the Union address in 2002, and one during the unveiling of her first lady portrait at the White House) but shows his class by ignoring such behavior.
I have to wonder about the behavior of Barack and Michelle when they leave office.
I expect no class act from them.

The anonymous Daily Mail Reporter posts a batch of posed Pete Souza WH photos. And writes gooey prose to go with them.

It was not the rain that held up Obie. Everyone at the stadium had to travel through the same "pouring" (according to one source) rain.

Some of the photos are very revealing and almost write their own captions.

Question: Does Obie go potty without Valjar in attendance?

Can´t really blame the Bushes for accepting this invitation and joining the party.

The Wookie seems to embody and reflect all of the historical anger and rage which fuels the contemporary black experience.

Habitual anger and hostility is a type of laziness.

Notice how the Bushes are habitually cheerful and gracious.

While I would have preferred(and the country would have benefited from) a true conservative rather than either Bush, I do admire their good nature and positive outlook.

The First Wookie is a spoiled brat with two spoiled children.

What would a funeral be without Bono there? I`m sure he begged Obama for more American tax dollars to save Africa from itself.

How on earth the Bushes could spend one second of their lives hanging out with these cretins is beyond me, that is unless Obama called him prior to being elected and told him he was going to trash him for the first 5 years of his presidency, and Bush said sure, go ahead, I`m okay with it.

Anyone who can look at that photo of Chelsea and not recognize that she´s Web Hubbell´s kid is being willfully and stupidly blind. The vast majority of us have recognized it for years.

I can´t imagine what the attraction was that conceived her, but somehow I think it might not have been "attraction," but rather necessity.

As to the photos from AF1, I would have expected nothing less than graciousness from George and Laura. It´s born and bred in them, and I miss their dignified presence more and more with every day that passes.

I read an article this morning saying Mandela had actually died on June 26 but they kept him on a machine for six months until they could plan the massive funeral. If that´s the case, Zippy knew he was dead when he was there on June 29 getting pictures taken of himself in the jail cell. How often do you think the peons are lied to every day by the newscasters?

I too don´t know how the Bushes can be around this president, knowing what he is and I don´t know how he has managed to keep his mouth shut for 5 years while this country is being sold down the river.

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service and other federal agencies awarded about $415,000 in contracts to a license plate-tracking company before Homeland Security leaders dropped a plan for similar work amid privacy complaints. Federal offices such as the Forest Service and the U.S. Air Force´s Air Combat Command chose Livermore, Calif.-based Vigilant Solutions to provide access to license plate databases or tools used to collect plate information, according to government procurement records compiled by Bloomberg. Vigilant, a closely held company, has received such work since 2009. In February, Jeh Johnson, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security

Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent.
