Tea party threat again hangs
over Republicans’ efforts
to take Senate

Washington Post, by Paul Kane

More than half of Senate Republicans facing reelection next year face potentially viable tea party challenges — a historically large threat to the GOP establishment that could, once again, kill the party’s chances of taking back control of the chamber. A surprise challenge to Sen. John Cornyn, the No. 2 GOP leader, emerged at the last minute before Texas’s election filing deadline late Monday, and on Tuesday a conservative group with deep pockets threw its financial support behind a radiologist, who has never run for office, in a primary against Sen. Pat Roberts (Kan.), a 16-year veteran. Many of the

It never amazes me to find yet another Postie who feels it´s news that an election might be contested.

Back in the Fatherland they don´t do that of course. Once you get picked by the Supreme Commander to Be the Senator you are, of course, The Senator.

The story used to be that the Washington Post headquarters had a secret underground tunnel to the Soviet Union embassy.

Then, one day the Russians decided they needed a new embassy. The Posties actually objected!

They never admitted to the tunnel but WE KNOW!

The time for the low-T rinos to worry about this was BEFORE they started selling us out. BEFORE they ran progressive after progressive, and BEFORE they became comfortable with losing.
Now the base is mad, and its time to pay the piper. I would feel a lot worse about this if there was a difference between the power brokers of the two parties.

The WaPo is hysterically trying to spin this as a disaster for the Republican Party, at best, but they really want a total catastrophe for the Republicans. The truth is those left wing losers are terrified the Tea Party will win. The WaPo is only going to get more hysterical, more dishonest and more angry over the next 11 months.

The Repub. Party is NOTHING without the TEA Party. Traditional Republicans have allowed the democrats to define the TEA Party who are just common folk who KNOW looking at the absurd spending, inflation and deficits that it needs to be stopped. They are not right wingers, racists or crazy. Actually, they are the stable ones in the nation.

I wish he would wait and go after Sen. Moran. Now that would be a seat I would love to see taken by a tougher conservative. Moran has been a disappointment. SCF, save your money for opponents of senators who really deserve to lose.

I´m beginning to think the Washington Post is beginning to act the underdog. They once sat on a mighty throne dictating Washington Policy as they saw fit. Now they seem shaky and unsure of themselves.

Their past influence has produced incompetence and a powerful criminal element into the Presidency, Congress and yes the rest of the MSM rabble who are now a captive press, not a free press by any clear meaning or definition. Now you blame the Tea Party, a great number of whom were labeled the ´Greatest Generation´ by a once free press and society.

It might be wise for the Media to stand back and see what they have created. A President that society now deems incompetent with the lowest poll numbers in a generation. Don´t smirk at our ´unsophisticated Middle Class ramblings´, it seems we were right, and you are still blathering left wing sorry slogans.

You people are sick, that is a fault, not a good excuse.

If your constituents think that you´re not listening to them, they have every right to fire you no matter WHO you are and how influential you have become. It´s not a RIGHT to be a Senator! It´s the exact opposite of what WaPo says but they´re just parroting the GOP establishment. The GOP Establishment lost at least 11 Senate races in 2012. The GOP muscled out and sabotaged TP candidates across the country to make sure their crony has-beens got the nominations. In Florida, Jeb Bush backed Connie Mack lost by 13 points. In Montana, GOP E candidate Rehberg lost though Romney won the state by 13.7 pts. In Hawaii Lingle lost by 25 pts. In New Mexico Heather Wilson lost an open seat to a democrat by 5.7 pts. In North Dakota GOP E candidate Rick Berg lost to a non-incumbent Dem. in a state Romney won by
19.6 pts. In Wisconsin, Tommy Thompson lost to a non-incumbent Dem. by 5.5 pts. In Va. George Allen lost by 5.9 pts. In 2006 he only lost by 3 pts. In Ohio the dem. won by 6 pts. In Mass. Scott Brown lost by 7.5 pts.
It´s public knowledge that the GOP has no ground game across the country, are almost non-existent compared to the democrat machine. The GOP obviously has no desire to beat democrats.

When the left wing media starts rooting for republicans, you know something is up.They don´t like the tea party folks because they mean what they say and that´s a big threat.

The left has nobody but themselves to blame for the tea party movement,in particular pushing through Obamacare. It offended people on principle and now it´s cleaning out people´s pockets.Even naive 20 somethings are getting their eyeballs scorched.

The most absurd part of tea party hatred is that they´re not asking for anything that´s really out of the loop, the left has no ideological answer,so they use false narratives like racism.

They´re even trying to re-write history saying that Hillarycare failed only because a woman was behind it.There´s elements of Hillarycare that are actually worse then Obamacare, such as telling doctors what fields they can go in and where they´re allowed to practice.

Still, that may be coming. I´m starting to see themes where the left is saying "underserved" areas of the country and we know exactly what they mean.Could a doctor have his license revoked for refusing duty in an "underserved"area of the country?

Think about it,what good is free healthcare if there´s no doctor to be seen?

The "base" is mad, and are ready for a house and senate "cleaning". The Tea Party is tired of being ignored by the feckless RINOs who seem to have the media´s blessing because the media has them on a leash.

Some tea party supported candidates have been elected and turned against the people. DC has a way of corrupting good people.

The Founders never intended for there to be career politicians--we still have MANY who signed a term-limit agreement with the ´Contract with America´ crowd who are STILL up there. So much for them keeping their word...

The Obama administration said Friday that it would block Iran’s nominee as ambassador to the United Nations from entering the United States, setting up a new confrontation with Tehran just as relations with the Islamic republic appeared to be improving. The decision to bar entry to the diplomat, who was allegedly involved in the 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, followed intense political pressure on the administration from Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill. But it also marked a rare instance in which Washington has effectively vetoed another country’s preferred choice as envoy to the United Nations. Iran

Struggling homeowners across the country could face significant new tax bills if they receive mortgage relief from their banks, a prospect that threatens to slow the housing recovery and put further strain on distressed borrowers. The collapse of the housing market and plunging home prices left millions of people stuck owing more on their mortgages than their homes were worth. Some have worked with their banks to reduce the loan amount to avoid foreclosure or enable a sale. In 2007, Congress adopted a law that spared those homeowners from being taxed on the amount of the loan that was forgiven. But
