Club for Growth won´t help Stockman

The Club for Growth said Tuesday it won´t help Rep. Steve Stockman´s (R-Texas) primary challenge against Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas). The conservative group said it has no problem with Cornyn and won´t spend the millions of dollars necessary to help the cash-strapped Stockman in the race. “While Congressman Stockman has a pro-economic growth record, so does Senator Cornyn, as witnessed by his 87 percent lifetime Club for Growth score,” Club for Growth President Chris Chocola said in a statement. Chocola said the Club´s PAC looks at the strength of the incumbent´s record, the degree of difference between the candidates and

Cornyn showed me who he was when he backed Charlie Crist over Marco Rubio. I don´t like Rubio´s position on amnesty but he is still better than Crist.

We are in a crisis in our country. Judgement is at the door. We need desperate leaders who want to preserve our nation from financial ruin, who fear God and yearn for a return to the faith and freedom of our founders. I doubt that pretty boy conservatives are sufficient for the task.

#3, Senator Cornyn, as head of the NRSC, has said he learned from the 2010 primary experiences not to put NRSC money into future primary races. Rubio, in hindsight, was the obvious choice. Crist, in hindsight, was a disaster. Tough job trying to make the right decision.

"Tough job making the right decision" - yes, indeed, and even more so when one is confused about core beliefs and values, such as protecting the nation from assaults on the Constitution.

#3, Just for starters, TEA Party hating RINO Cornyn supported Lisa Murkowski who lost the Republican primary in AK and ran as an independent. Cornyn also supported Arlen "turncoat" Specter and voted to confirm Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, the Wise Latina and Elena "Sharia Law" Kagen.

Cornyn is a slow growing cancer on Texas and the rest of America.

#7, Louis Gohmert declined to join this race. The deadline for primary filing has passed.

No, John Cornyn is not a "cancer" on Texas, regardless of the lady´s hysterics. Lisa Murkowski was the incumbent. The NRSC traditionally puts money into the incumbents. Cornyn sent her no financial help when she ran as an independent.

We´ll see what Texas GOP voters decide. It will be hard for any of the many primary contestants to force a runoff.

And that´s even when they earn the same amount and spend the same amount on everything from housing to beer, according to an analysis by personal finance site WalletHub. It began during the weekend with a surprise email from the White House: Six local TV anchors and camera crews from around the country discovered they’d been invited to interview President Obama on Wednesday, and receive VIP briefings from top Obama advisers. They had not requested the interviews. But Obama wanted to spend four minutes with each reporting team to discuss the minimum wage and the March 31 deadline for Affordable Care Act enrollment. He also reassured KARE-TV anchor Julie Nelson during their sit-down that “ultimately we’re not going to go to war with Russia. The Ukrainians don’t want that.
