In life, Nelson Mandela

Washington Post, by Steven Mufson

JOHANNESBURG — One of the ironies of the praise from world leaders for the late Nelson Mandela at a state memorial service Tuesday is that the former South African president frequently irritated the United States and others with his positions and loyalty to longtime supporters such as Cuba and Libya. Both Cuban leader Fidel Castro and Libya’s Moammar Gaddafi had long supported the African National Congress (ANC). And as president, Mandela did not abandon them, despite their human rights abuses and despite Libya’s involvement in the 1988 Lockerbie bombing in which a Pan Am transatlantic flight was destroyed over Scotland, killing

This thug went to jail for leading a revolution group with 21,000 victims of his atrocities.

When arrested the rebel group possessed among other things, 210 hands grenades, 48,000 anti-personnel mines, 1500 time bombs, 144 tons of ammonium nitrate, 21.6 tons of alum powder, 2000 pounds of explosives,

His group (with him in charge)were found guilty of 196 acts of terror.

And now our President is honoring him????

The punk was a thug!!!!!

"Loser meets loser" isn´t the real story here. Rather it´s buried but revealed by the fact that it´s in the slightest critical.

The thing is Mandela has been clinically dead for months ~ probably since before Obama´s first visit. The family kept him intubated and ventilated but the brain was gone.

They had this dispute under way about where he should be buried, with part of the family wanting him one place and the other part wanting him in a different place.

Not sharing in many European cultural norms they failed to realize the heart goes here, the head goes there, the body goes over there, but you can have the spleen and you the bowels ~ maybe in a jar.

The dispute must have been pretty tense, and then once decided the gub´mnt needed to take advantage of the death ~ so here, in the Southern Hemispheric equivalent of late spring, early summer, when tourism is at its nadir, they hold this enormous event!

Provided they suppress that horrid noise maker they make get some positive ju ju out of this.

Although Mandela was a Marxist in his earlier career, his presidential conduct was significantly free market with improved civil liberties.

Looks like our dear leader gave the famous Obama bow to Castro.

Mandela is being fawned over for two reasons; people think he´s a martyr and two, he is black: American liberals think it´s racist not to honor this man.

He was truly a mixed bag. But the bag that concerns me most is the one full of antisemitism and hatred of all things American.

That our POTUS and his immense entourage, and several past Presidents are going out of their way to honor him reveals white guilt and politically-correct insanity.

As much as you may loathe tax season, there are people who rejoice during this time of year. They see it as prime time for picking people to victimize. Unscrupulous folks know taxpayers are eager to get a large refund. They love the complexity of the tax code, which provides them the opportunity to trick people into letting down their guard. Every year, the Internal Revenue Service highlights the lowdown and dirty by putting out its list of top 12 tax scams. “Scams can be sophisticated and take many different forms,” said IRS Commissioner John Koskinen. “We urge people to protect themselves

Julian Bond was succinct: “Obama is to the Tea Party as the moon is to werewolves.” So bayed the ex-NAACP chairman about the Tea Party a while back. It might be said more accurately that the Tea Party, just as was once true of Ronald Reagan, is to the Left
