The lefty media has been portraying Mandela as a pro-Democracy freedom fighter. That is not how I remember him, and this article confirms it. I think Mandela was a little to the right of Robert Mugabe who is a hardcore Marxist.

Many of us were not on board with Mandela-as-savior but were too polite to speak ill of the dead, even when they were alive and playing martyr.

Yes, he kept S. Africa from erupting, but, like MLK, wasn´t the saint he was made out to be.

Let´s see, what was the narrative? Community organizers orchestrated the Soweto student uprising. This was the birth of the ANC. Eventually they finally overthrew their white masters and took over the government. Thereby, social justice was finally served. The end.

Hmmm... You know, a young black Marxist revolutionary in this country might become infatuated with a story like that.

As a matter of fact, he was and still is. If Mandela´s death didn´t cut into his Hawaiian vacation he would do his Mandela tour all over again. I still say that Obama was heartbroken that Mandela´s family wouldn´t allow a photo-op at his death bed.

Our African white president ordered all flags to fly half staff for 10 days! For this admitted terrorist and hater of America? Margaret Thatcher got not one day of half-staff flags from our POS --- I mean POTUS --- when she died and she was one of our biggest allies. Unbelievable.

Mandela´s background is as fake as Obama´s. Over the course of 12 years he ordered terrorist attacks that killed hundreds of innocent people, black & white. He didn´t fight the army, he used terrorism against civilian targets. Big dif. He even admitted personally helping place a bomb at a radio station. Didn´t bother to call the people in there and tell them to run either. Sorry, no loss.

From Rorate Caeli, a traditional Catholic blog:

Nelson Mandela (R.I.P.) achieved great things. He thanked God for his blessings by forcing upon South Africans one of the most heinously open abortion legislations, or, in the words of the Guttmacher Institute, "one of the most liberal abortion laws in the world": the Choice on Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1996. It allows abortion on demand up to the 20th week; after it and up to birth for "serious medical reasons"

And someone was expecting him to be a right-wing ideologue? There is nothing in his history, his environment or the black South Africans´ history or environment that would suggest such a thing. After the institutionalized cruelty the black South Africans had endured in their own land, getting some rights and representation for blacks, especially vis-a-vis the tough Afrikaners, was no picnic in the park.

It´s good to be reminded of his and MLK´s pecadillos and un-sympatico views, and I would oppose both of them if they were running for president of the USA. But this wasn´t the US, and someone had to end apartheid and unite South Africa, and providence wasn´t too picky about who did it. So I don´t begrudge either man their praise. It´s just too bad that heroes like Reagan and Thatcher can´t receive their due as well.

Now that SA is a true multiracial democracy, it´s hard to believe that white farmers are being murdered, "necklacing" is still in vogue, and that SA has one of the highest firearms-related homicide rates in the world (~5X that of the U.S.).

FYI Some parts of S. Africa never saw a black inhabitant until after the Dutch trekkers settled on the coast. The black people followed them.
That is where the removed white farmers originated and blacks could or would not learn to farm to feed their numbers.
When those former white farm lands were turned over to them they didn´t plant and devoured all the plant seeds so yep they then begged white farmers to return --as their employees of course--and bring the seeds.
No dice and no return to plenty.
Then came more recently baracks´s cousin who tried to kill his way to lead the government and seemed to enjoy that Christians were burned in their locked from the outside Churches.
So yes bury Mandella with pomp so he can fade away like others that preceded him.
The same hope applies to the current copy.

"The decision has come after a century of suppression and marginalisation by the legal and social systems. "This verdict is certainly landmark and a new beginning. At least 12 people are dead and more than 2,000 homes have been destroyed by a large fire that wreaked havoc over the weekend in Valparaiso, Chile. Some 10,000 people have been forced to evacuate parts of the port city. Government spokesman Álvaro Elizalde says those figures are likely to go up as the fire continues to burn. Amnesty: President Obama often laments "our broken immigration system" as a reason for his failure to enforce its laws. But as a wave of illegals is about to descend here, the hard fact is that it´s his own policies that broke it. The nonpartisan Inter-American Development Bank and the Migration Policy Institute both reported optimal conditions for a big wave of illegal immigration into the U.S. from Mexico and Central America soon. Based on the slowdown in China´s economy, a recovery in U.S. low-skilled jobs such as construction, and rising U.S. interest rates, it´s fair enough.

The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.
