Obama’s Path Was

WASHINGTON — Without Nelson Mandela, there might never have been a President Obama. That is the strong impression conveyed from Mr. Obama, whose political and personal bonds to Mr. Mandela, the former South African president, transcended their single face-to-face meeting, which took place at a hotel here in 2005. It was the fight for racial justice in South Africa by Mr. Mandela that first inspired a young Barack Obama to public service, the American president recalled on Thursday evening after hearing that Mr. Mandela, the 95-year-old world icon, had died. Mr. Obama delivered his first public speech, in 1979, at

Yeah, yeah, yeah... Mandela and Obama were SO close. SO close that when Obama invited himself to visit Mandela last year, that Mandela and family told Obama to STICK IT.

Spare me, NYTimes.

Mandela may be responsible for many things but Barky isn´t one of them, no matter how vivid or numerous the Won´s imaginary recollections may be.

If Ø speaks at Mandela´s funeral, here´s a little game to play: take a shot of your favorite bourbon every time he says "I" or "me". You´ll likely be hammered before he gets halfway through.

BTW, Hillary would have spent more time with Mandela but she kept getting pinned down by snipers.

The connection between Mandela and Obama is a stretch.

However; there are considerable similar characteristics between Obama and President Robert Mugabe. Massive redistribution of the property of white folks to the bros is at the top of the list.

Mr. Mandela never gave Stinky an audience, ever.

Now it can be revealed. All history is important only as it shaped Barrack.

Yet too little is known. Like the youth of Jesus in Egypt, we must guess about the Pacific years of the child Barrack.

But we do know the God for the new millenium has come. Obama; the man/god Lincoln might have been if only Abe had been worthy.

Mandela seemingly was focused on Africa but his destiny was to play the role of John the Baptist. He prepared the way for the Won.

Republicans in Congress are being accused of fighting a "war on the war on poverty," in part because of a tiny cut in the food stamps program last week. Democrats charge that these "cuts" will take food from the mouths of hungry children, and they claim this is an example of how Congress has shred the safety net for the poor. Never mind that this is the food aid program that has tripled in cost and doubled in participation in just the last decade. Even during the economic recovery, the number of recipients — one in seven Americans — continues to

President Obama has talked a lot recently about reducing income inequality. Yet he neither acknowledges how much money the government is redistributing, nor how much more would be needed to close the income gap. Perhaps that´s because the project would require redistribution on a staggering scale. That´s the upshot of two separate studies published in November 2013 by the Congressional Budget Office and the Tax Foundation. While they used slightly different methodologies, each study measured the amount of existing redistribution by the federal government—by comparing how much Americans get back in total federal spending (everything from transfer programs to national defense)
