Dem Calls Obama’s Inequality Speech
One of the Best in Presidential History

A Pennsylvania Democrat called President Obama’s economic speech yesterday hosted by the Center for American Progress one of the best speeches ever given by an American leader. Obama called for increasing the minimum wage and decried a wage gap in America, saying reversing the trend is “the defining challenge of our time.” “The combined trends of increased inequality and decreasing mobility pose a fundamental threat to the American dream, our way of life and what we stand for around the globe,” he said. Obama also lauded himself as a great leader for pushing through his healthcare law. “You know, Dr

Serious speechifying from the Kenyan Wonder Boy.

Of course, a large raise in the minimum wage will result in a large shrinkage in low skilled jobs. Talking massive layoffs. You want to pay $10 for a Big Mac?

But the speech makes the LoFo´s feel warm and fuzzy.

My mother probably told me a thousand times that life was not fair. And it isn´t and it wasn´t meant to be and we shouldn´t buy into the utopia of thinking "equality" will make everything perfect. We have different needs, abilities, wants and desires. Do you really think a garbage collector should make as much as an aerospace engineer? Should we all have the ability to go to Europe, drive big expensive cars, have three vacation homes, dress in expensive clothes and purchase $400 purses even if you don´t work for it? Frankly I do not want to be equal with a person who has decided to remain uneducated, have three children out of wedlock, do drugs and drink or hang with guys who carry knives and guns. This is the equivilant to eveyone getting a trophy, no one ever flunks or gets an F, and thinking you are special is more important than knowing the right answer. obama has proven over and over that we are not equal by rewriting obamacare for his buddies making them more equal than the great unwashed. We all can´t be beautiful, a genius, a great sportman or a gifted writer. obama thinks he can rewrite human history by throwing money (other people´s money) at a perceived notion of "we are all the same". He really is a fool.

One of these days, the lofos are going to wake up and realize that Obama has no intention of lifting them up out of their, for the most part, self induced malaise.

He intends the problem to be solved by knocking down what´s left of the middle and upper classes. Voila!! Problem solved. Everyone is equal now. Except for the very wealthy, of which he is now one.

And the biggest shock of all, this proves that Rush was right YEARS ago. He talked about this very issue with a caller, I believe it was before Obama even took office.

The push to raise the minimum wage has nothign to do with helping the less skilled workers or reducing income inquality. It has everything to do with paying off the unions. Nearly all union contracts contain a clause tying the union rates to the minimum wage such that if the minimum wage goes up, so do union wages automatically.

And yet the Republicans never seem to figure this out...

First lady Michelle Obama unveiled a proposed new nutrition label Thursday, claiming the labels would make it easier for families to tell whether food is healthy. Because math is hard, or something. If your “nanny-state” radar is going off, it should. The new label really doesn’t appear to be much different from the old one. The “servings per container” font is larger and bolder, the “calories” section is much larger and bolder and the “percent daily value” column was moved to the left side (have to spend that tax money on something). Obama and Boehner met in the Oval Office on Tuesday for an hourlong meeting. Carney, though, refused to characterize the tone of their discussion on immigration, saying only that “there is broad agreement that this is an issue that needs to be addressed.” “We´ve seen that in

While agreements at those schools were rescinded, expansion of a fourth school was also blocked.
