Wow: Obama down 23 points

Not the only interesting result here — Gallup’s also picking up the trend of millennials abandoning The One — but after so much post-election heavy breathing about his advantage with Latinos and how the GOP can win them back, it’s obviously the showstopper. (Snip for graphic)The glass-half-full read: This is proof positive that Democrats do not, in fact, own the Latino vote. They can blow it, and to some extent may already have. But then, we already knew that from previous Gallup polls. Back in August, they noted that O’s job approval among Latinos was conspicuously volatile, soaring to 80

Legal Latino´s do not want illegal cartels operating ithe US any more than we do. It´s the anarchists & radical groups making all the noise.

Giving illegals a pass is also allowing people to live amongst us who never went thru the normal immunization program legals do; They also do not learn what our laws are, ergo, beheading your cheating spouse is a OK.

Latino´s know this. Its their neighborhoods that are more dangerous & they don´t like it.

At this point in time, I consider the approval rate a measurement of extreme stupidity and lack of any common sense. And don´t call me racist, I live in MA, there are plenty of all races that still adore obama and I truly consider them stupid. Not ignorant, stupid.

Until we start linking Zero in a big way to the whole progressive agenda, his individual approval is irrelevant since he won´t be up for election again. We need to use him to bring down the whole "progressive" Left or these idiots will just transfer their love to another Dem.

Hillary Clinton was nodding solemnly to the mother of a 9/11 victim when Huma Abedin, standing across the room, called out, “Let’s load!” to the staff members and bodyguards. The former secretary of state had yet to pick up her award from the Voices of September 11th, but her entourage was already preparing to shuttle her off to the next event, a benefit for God’s Love We Deliver, which was co-hosted by the designer Michael Kors and where she would sit next to the Vogue editor and former Obama bundler Anna Wintour. It was just another hectic fall evening in

Austin, Texas • Have you seen U.S. Rep. Steve Stockman? The suburban Houston Republican and fierce conservative is mounting a long-shot challenge from the right against Senate minority whip John Cornyn but has made virtually no public appearances in Texas as questions mount about his campaign finances. Now, he’s stopped showing up for his day job, too. Stockman has missed 17 straight House votes since Jan. 9— including one on the $1.1 trillion omnibus federal spending package he promised on Twitter to vote against. That’s unusual since, even though Stockman has a reputation as a Capitol Hill renegade, he missed only

Merle Haggard knows all about hard living, uncertain love and workers ground down by depressing jobs. As one of country music´s greatest living singer-songwriters, Mr. Haggard in the 1960s was an architect of the Bakersfield sound—an earthy, California-born style that was more firmly rooted in country´s traditions than the polished productions recorded in Nashville at the time.Mr. Haggard—who will perform Sunday at the Grammy Awards—grew up in Bakersfield but soon ran afoul of the law in the 1950s, landing in prison after trying to rob a roadhouse. Potential jurors screened for the scheduled Jan. 27 corruption trial of former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin will be asked about their understanding of the indictment, and their ability to presume Nagin innocent until proven guilty. They will not, however, be asked a series of questions proposed by Nagin´s defense attorney, Robert Jenkins, that inspired opposition among prosecutors, a federal judge has ruled. Nagin is accused of accepting bribes and kickbacks during his tenure as mayor. Jenkins made his case last week for keeping a handful of questions about potential jurors´ understanding of the difference between a charge and a conviction. One

Republicans seek own policy

Top Republicans are saying they can no longer just be the party of "No" on Obamacare: They need to come up with an alternative healthcare policy. While many Americans are skeptical of President Barack Obama´s healthcare overhaul, they also tell lawmakers they worry about keeping their costs from getting out of control. For those voters, a party that offers a platform to repeal the 2010 law without anything to replace it may not be very attractive. As a result, lawmakers from both the establishment wing of the Republican Party and the more fiscally conservative small-government proponents in the Tea Party movement are

The national debate over marijuana legalization has caught many liberals in a confounding paradox. These liberals, who have fought vociferously for bans on cigarettes, super-sized sodas, trans fats and other unhealthy substances, now either advocate for the legalization of marijuana or stand unopposed to it. This is notable because, whatever else it is, marijuana is not healthy. In his recent New Yorker interview, President Obama remarked, “I smoked pot as a kid, and I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big

Holder’s effort to profile the entire nation as cowards came during a friendly interview with the University of Virginia’s Miller Center, where was asked if he would take back his 2009 remarks. “I would not take that back,” he replied. As usual, Holder did not brave questions from the audience or from other reporters in the room. Want to know why Wendy Davis will have trouble winning higher office in Texas or anywhere else in America? It’s not because she stretched the truth in her “from mobile-home-living single mom to Harvard Law grad” campaign biography, nor because her husband paid for her education, nor even because she placed a lot of value on her career. Nope: It’s because Davis, the Lone Star State senator who became famous for her filibuster of an abortion-limiting bill in Texas, lost custody of her children to her ex-husband. This revelation about Davis’ past, which came to light thanks to reporting by Wayne Slater

So what if the sectarian conflict raging from Beirut to Baghdad claimed yet more lives last week? From the Obama administration’s perspective, all’s well with its Middle East policy. Not a bombing in the Lebanese capital, nor clashes throughout Iraq, nor even reports that Bashar al-Assad’s Syrian regime systematically tortured and executed 11,000 detainees can shake the White House’s confidence in its strategic vision. For Obama envisages, as he told the New Yorker last week, a “new geopolitical equilibrium” emerging in the Middle East. And as the White House measures progress—diplomatic frequent flyer miles, not body counts on the ground—all

Former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell’s indictment on charges that he accepted illegal gifts, vacations and loans from a major campaign contributor who sought special treatment is so shocking, in part, because McDonnell is the first governor in the history of the Commonwealth to face criminal charges. Unlike plenty of other states, Virginia doesn’t have a long history of scandals and ethics abuses. Which states are more used to corruption? Well, depending on how you define corruption, it could be Florida, or Louisiana, or Tennessee, or New York, or Georgia. And then there’s the District of Columbia. Here’s how each of the above

If there is anything New York doesn´t need it´s more reasons for Empire State residents to flee. Over the last decade (2001-11) New York´s population fell by 1.6 million. Many disgruntled New Yorkers said enough, packed up and left the state. This was a larger population drain than suffered by any other state. Congratulations. That´s why Democratic Gov. In politics, lying is the new sex. Even the lesser sin, exaggeration, is grounds for questions about your suitability to run for office. Americans may be becoming more like the French in tolerating peccadilloes (just ask Rep. Mark Sanford of South Carolina or Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana about surviving a sex scandal), but get a detail wrong about whether you divorced at 21 or at 19, and woe unto you. That’s what happened to Wendy Davis over the weekend. You may know her as the Texas state senator in pink sneakers who delivered an 11-hour filibuster against abortion restrictions in June.

The Pentagon on Wednesday is expected to announce widespread changes to rules governing religious items and religion-based physical attributes that service members can maintain while in uniform — including beards, some religious tattoos, and turbans. NBC News obtained an early draft of the new Department of Defense instruction which states that the military will make every effort to accommodate “individual expressions of sincerely held beliefs” (conscience, moral principles, or religious beliefs) of service members. It goes on to say that unless doing so could have an adverse impact on military readiness, unit cohesion, good order and discipline, health and safety,

What’s so great about Zulu? To answer that question properly, you need to pass this test first. 1) Do you know Men of Harlech off by heart? 2) Can you name at least half of the 11 Victoria Cross winners in the film (by their nicknames where possible) without resorting to Google? 3) Have you ever found yourself stirred to ridiculous feelings of patriotism by John Barry’s magnificent film score on the morning commute? I really hope someone else answers “yes” to all three, otherwise you can chalk me up as a lone madman. Zulu--released 50 years ago this week--is
