Abortion Covered in Obamacare
Health Plans for Congress, Staff

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Dr. Susan Berry

Original Article

Elective abortion coverage is offered in 103 of 112 ObamaCare insurance plans for members of Congress and their staff. As reported by the Daily Caller, the availability of elective abortion coverage to members of Congress and their staff may represent a moral and legal violation, since congressional insurance coverage will be subsidized by the federal government under the law. Essentially, this means American taxpayers are funding abortions. Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), co-chair of the House Pro-Life Caucus, is responsible for the analysis. “In the run-up to passage of ObamaCare, Americans were repeatedly told and reassured by President Obama

Comments:
I´m shocked ... Obama assured Congress AND issued an Executive Order. It´s number Executive Order 13535.

The Act maintains current Hyde Amendment restrictions governing abortion policy and extends those restrictions to the newly created health insurance exchanges. Under the Act, longstanding Federal laws to protect conscience (such as the Church Amendment, 42 U.S.C. 300a-7, and the Weldon Amendment, section 508(d)(1) of Public Law 111-8) remain intact and new protections prohibit discrimination against health care facilities and health care providers because of an unwillingness to provide, pay for, provide coverage of, or refer for abortions.

Journalists love to preen as human rights watchdogs, congratulating themselves publicly for their roles – real or imagined – in securing the life and liberty of the downtrodden. That is, as long as it’s the right sort of downtrodden. Take, for example, NBC’s coverage in the run up to the Sochi Winter Olympics. Because of Russian restrictions on gays’ free speechfor homosexuals, the official Olympic network repeatedly fretted about gay “human rights.” NBC speculated about the rights and safety of gay athletes and visitors to Sochi, reported extensively on Russia’s gay community, talked to every gay athlete in the NBC

Sugar not only makes you fat, it may be killing you. Consuming too much added sugar — in regular soda, cakes, cookies and candy — increases your risk of death from heart disease, according to a new study, the largest of its type. "The risk of cardiovascular disease death increases exponentially as you increase your consumption of added sugar," says the study´s lead author, Quanhe Yang, a senior scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. On average, adults in the USA in 2010 consumed about 15% of their daily calories — about 300 calories a day, based on

Former President Bill Clinton is the “liar” the public is most able to forgive nearly two decades after his affair with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky, according to a new poll. According to a CBS-Vanity Fair poll, 43 percent of people said they are most able to forgive Clinton among a list of other famous people who have lied to the public. The survey asks “which liar are you most able to forgive” — listing Clinton along with cyclist Lance Armstrong, former President Richard Nixon and Bernie Madoff, who defrauded his investment clients out of billions of dollars in a

Hobby Lobby founder and CEO David Green, a Christian, has objected to the regulation based on his religious principles. The Kansas Attorney General’s Office said the issue is not contraceptives but religious liberty. John Welden, 29, admitted last year to giving Remee Jo Lee a bottle of the drug Cytotec, disguised as an antibiotic, after she became pregnant and refused an abortion. At a hearing earlier this month, U.S. District Judge Richard A. Lazzara found a single dose of the drug caused Lee to lose a nearly seven-week pregnancy. Mr. Obama wants Americans to believe that the targeting resulted from the confusing tax law governing nonprofits, which he says was "difficult" to interpret and resulted in mere "bureaucratic" mistakes. The White House and congressional Democrats tried to limit the fallout Wednesday from the politically damaging conclusion in a Congressional Budget Office report that the Obamacare entitlement creates a major incentive for some people not to work. While some critics focused on a finding by the CBO that Obamacare will result in 2.5 million fewer workers over a decade, conservatives said the bigger fundamental issue highlighted in the report is one familiar to the welfare state — that taxpayer-funded government subsidies provide disincentives for full-time work. “People used to be stuck in jobs because they needed the health insurance,” said
