Catholics Criticize Cardinal Dolan for
Lamenting That Catholics Could´ve

Cybercast News Service, by Barbara Hollingsworth

A number of prominent lay Catholics are taking issue with New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan’s statement on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday that were it not for the Obamacare´s treatment of abortion, undocumented immigrants and provisions that require they violate the "dictates of our conscience," Catholics would be among the loudest “cheerleaders” for Obamacare. When “Meet the Press” host David Gregory asked the cardinal whether he supports the “overall goal” of Obamacare, Dolan replied that the Catholic bishops were “early supporters” of universal health insurance and should be its “cheerleaders” now. “What about Obamacare? You have voiced your displeasure with certain aspects

FTA: ´Dolan replied that the Catholic bishops were “early supporters” of universal health insurance.´ Not this Catholic. Many Catholics are dyed-in-the-wool Dems. It makes me sick. The naiveté astounds me. Once upon a time Catholics opposed communism. Now it seems they are the greatest proponents.

This Catholic has always had a problem with the overtly liberal leanings of the Church, but that same Church preaches ´free will´, and that´s how I take their teaching!

With all due respect, Cardinal Dolan, have you been keeping up with the literature on this abomination (a little Church lingo there) of a ´law´?

Have you, yourself, read this extensive law and understand all of its ramifications?

Do you actually agree with everything you have seen so far?

If you answer "yes" to any of the above, I should like to advise a spiritual retreat be arranged so that you may further contemplate on your role as ´spiritual´ adviser to the millions who have been entrusted to your care.

At this point in time, your personal political leanings can only lead to a dangerous division among the Faithful.

Note the article prediction that if the court goes against the church on the Obamacare mandate they will go along and not actually close the catholic hospitals. Meanwhile Obama sticks the knife in the back of his biggest supporters and there is no push back. No wonder Obama is so bold and these wimps are correspondingly timid. I would remind the cardinal that the reason his robes are red signifies the willingness to be martyred for the faith. If he gets stabbed to death the blood on his robes will not show up so much. What a joke that is in the case of these bishops!

The real "conversation" is not about moral conscience but faith. Fundamentally, Christians believe in the sovereignty of God.
An expression of that faith would be to believe He would provide for all the children that married believers would have. (Christians do not believe this applies to heathens.)
In fact, any kind of insurance, mandated by the state. interferes with a believer´s free exercise of religion, in that they become dependent on the insurance rather than the provision of the Almighty. It all (Insurance) pretty much seems like a scam to me. Just sayin´.

I told her that I´d leave my comments on the nexus between the Church and the murder of children.

#8 I am surprised that you say that. Stalin and Mao hated the Church and persecuted the faithful. Pre-Vatican II Catholics were fervently anti-communists. The CPUSA wasn´t able to take over the unions at this time because of it´s Catholic members. That´s what I was taught. Wasn´t the Church in Europe accused of being Fascist?

You can bet your boots that the number of Catholics who work for a living who support illegal aliens sneaking into the USA and then being given "free" universal health insurance is a very distinct minority, no matter what this Cardinal says.

The world population includes over 7 billion people today, out of who, less then 300 million people are US citizens, with all the rest being aliens. Since coming into office Obama has downplayed the significance of US citizenship in favor of world citizenship which includes all aliens.

Obama has no problem personally with any citizen of the world coming into the USA as they please and just staying here and gaining US voting rights. He points out that the problem is with the immigration laws that don´t allow citizens of the world to spontaneously enter the USA as they please, calling that law broken, and claiming that it should be changed.

Common sense will tell you if anyone in the world could simply come here and be granted "free" universal health insurance and US voting rights that it would not be long before USA sovereignty became nonexistent.

Obama knows that most aliens today who enter the USA, both legally and illegally, come from socialist oriented societies, are generally poor and uneducated, and that once granted US voting rights would eventually become liberal Democrat voters simply because of the liberal Democrat´s vocal support of more expansive social welfare programs and spending.

A new study from the Medical University of Graz in Austria finds that vegetarians are more physically active, drink less alcohol and smoke less tobacco than those who consume meat in their diets. Vegetarians also have a higher socioeconomic status and a lower body mass index. Climate change’s latest casualty appears to be fish — or more specifically, fish brains — as researchers say the carbon dioxide that’s being absorbed into the ocean is causing the scaly creatures to lose their survival instincts. In other words, the fish are losing their minds, The Daily Mail reported. The acid from atmospheric carbon dioxide seeps into sea waters, dissolves and ultimately lowers the pH balance, researchers said. The acidic waters then hamper the fishes’ sensory systems, so they’re not able to distinguish between smells any longer, the scientists went on. When the acid levels get really high, the fish lose their
