The suspect in the vicious attack of a Catholic missionary worker who prayed the “Hail Mary” while she was raped is now in custody on Rikers Island in connection with several robberies in Manhattan. According to a report by Murray Weiss in DNAinfo, DNA evidence taken from a fedora hat dropped by the suspect near the crime scene at Washington Square near New York University (NYU) matched that of a homeless ex-con who had been arrested over a week ago in connection with three robberies in the Midtown and Chelsea sections of Manhattan. Detectives had launched an intense manhunt for

#6: This is a Breitbart article, nothing PC about them. In one of the article´s links there´s some surveillance footage of the rapist, but I can´t tell what ethnicity he is. He doesn´t really seem homeless, though. At least not like the homeless I used to see when I lived in NYC.

Prayers for the victim. Sad to see quoted in the article that she´s "not doing all that well." Poor woman was out there trying to feed people.

Crime has been rising lately in New York, despite an excellent effort by Commissioner Kelly´s police force.

This particular perpetrator has a long record of priors. I wonder how long he´s been out of jail from his last offense?

While the horror show involving Brendan Eich, Proposition 8, and Mozilla was reaching its ignominious crescendo, I was in Milan, Italy, speaking before an energized crowd of activists in the Lombardy region’s county hall. Unaware of the witch hunt carried out by McCarthy’s rainbow-brandishing gay great-grandsons in Silicon Valley, a middle-aged man came forward and cried out in Italian, “Is it just me, or is the gay lobby imposing a dictatorship on us with their so-called scientific experts?” The science to which he referred wasn’t JavaScript, but rather psychology and pediatrics. The forest is about 90 miles south of midtown Manhattan. People who live on the Lower East Side and elsewhere in Manhattan also reported smelling the smoke. The people at Mozilla may yet live to regret their decision in cooperating with the forcing out of Brendan Eich. Apparently the internet giant has been getting a lot of negative reaction to its jettisoning of Eich for his contribution in support of California’s Proposition 8 back in 2008. Whether or not this will actually end up hurting Mozilla, one wonders whether Mozilla even anticipated the possibility. The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls.
