Rep. Gutierrez: Obama ´Should Be
Expanding His Prosecutorial Discretion’

Cybercast News Service, by Melanie Hunter

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 12/3/2013 7:31:07 PM

At a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) said that President Barack Obama should be expanding his prosecutorial discretion when it comes to enforcement of immigration laws. “Unfortunately, he should not be limiting his prosecutorial discretion. He should be expanding his prosecutorial discretion,” Gutierrez said during a hearing on the constitutionality and legality of actions the Obama administration has taken on issues like the enforcement of immigration laws. The president signed a memo calling for deferred action for certain young illegal aliens who came into the country as children and have pursued education or military service

Comments:
All these traitors to this country should be in jail. As if 0bama needs encouragement to "expand his prosecutorial discretion." And then we have Eric Cantor aiding and abetting these criminal Democrats with this pleas for amnesty for children of illegals.

Gutierrez knows that upwards of 85% of those illegal aliens, once legalized, and granted US voting rights, would eventually become Democrat voters who would greatly enhance the political power of the Hispanic ethnic group that he represents in Congress.

In that respect he would surely do away with the immigration laws as they stand now, and would allow anyone in the world into the country as long as they promised to become Democrat voters.

Why not have Obama just throw open all the gates of the federal prisons as an act of presidential discretion?

What Obama and the liberal Democrats are attempting to do is seriously dilute the votes of native born Americans which tend to be conservative in nature and obstructive of the progressive political agenda, by flooding the country with more socialist oriented foreign born aliens, both legally and illegally, and giving them US voting rights in order to destroy all the historical and longstanding traditions of the USA.

Obama is not a prosecutor, and does not have prosecutorial discretion, which in any case applies to specific cases where there is a lack of evidence, and does not apply as to whether a law is, or is not to be enforced.

Obama can do whatever he wants because there is only one functioning political party in this country. He could order every prisoner in Mexican jails freed and invite them all to New Jersey, the GOP would be fine with it, and would call you a nativist bigot if you objected. George Bush left the borders unprotected, tried to open them more, and when a few terrified US citizens wondered about their safety the GOP called them hateful names.

Gutierrez should be ´fired´ from Congress for the obvious: he (allegedly) has taken an oath to ´preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States´ - but I´m quite sure that he has no clue of the powers AND LIMITATIONS of the Office of President.

#4 is correct.
What is interesting though is most Blacks and Hispanics aren´t liberal, but most elected Democrats are upper-income, and WHITE.

They have almost nothing in common with the average Black or Hispanic.

Many inner-city Blacks have been in the same economic situation since the 1960´s. Democrats haven´t really wanted to help, or they would have.

And if they wanted to fix the immigration issue, they could simply increase the legal quota for entry. Then, process all the others with a fine, and background checks.

Not difficult. No amnesty, but process them, and increase the legal quota.

But also ensure the increased quota applies to Russians, Chinese, India, Germany, and host of other countries.

Prosecutorial discretion is individualized by the facts of a single case. Simply deciding that an entire law will not be enforced does not fall within prosecutorial discretion, nor does it fall within the constitutional powers of the executive. He is "to see that the laws are faithfully executed."

The federal lawsuit, filed in New York, says the company used a Social Security death index to stop making payments when beneficiaries died, but the company wasn’t as diligent about using the database to track deaths of its policyholders, which triggers payouts, the lawsuit said. Last year, a judge refused to toss a federal lawsuit against the company, including claims against Ms. Burwell

Mr. Holder is challenging that vote in court. Rep. The New York Police Department has abandoned a secretive program that dispatched plainclothes detectives into Muslim neighborhoods to eavesdrop on conversations and built detailed files on where people ate, prayed and shopped, the department said. The decision by the nation’s largest police force to shutter the surveillance program represents the first sign that William J. Bratton, the department’s new commissioner, is backing away from some of the post-9/11 intelligence-gathering practices of his predecessor. The move comes as the federal government reconsiders and re-evaluates some of its post-9/11 policies, including the National Security Agency’s bulk data collection.

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Let’s put it this way: If my friends and I went out to a bar and started playing a “let’s write the racist FoxNews.com comment thread” drinking game, our efforts couldn’t begin to approach what I read there.I wasn’t alone. Liberal websites started feasting on these threads. And so, a couple of years ago, Ailes & Co. got wise. Stories about race were, at least in my disheartened experience, closed to comments.
