For Democrats in 2014, the
Web site is not the problem

Washington Post, by Marc A. Thiessen

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 12/2/2013 8:46:46 PM

Democrats are praying that this weekend’s relaunch of the Obamacare Web site will save them from an electoral bloodbath in 2014. Their hopes are misplaced. Here are five numbers that suggest that public anger over Obamacare will only grow as Election Day 2014 approaches: 5.5 million. That is how many people the administration needs to sign up in just 23 days because Obamacare drove them out of their health-care plans. That’s some 240,000 sign-ups every single day, just to break even. Getting that many enrolled in a few weeks would be extraordinarily difficult even if the Web site were working

Comments:
They´s why they all focus on the web site now and their phony attempts to "fix" the law, those who are up for re-election that is. I hope they are slaughtered in 2014 worse than in 2010. The IRS and the 0bama regime will be in full attack mode to suppress Republican votes.

Having a hard time choosing which to hope for right now - repeal of this terrible law or watching the smarmy Democrats go down in flames. Both would be ideal.

So the Republicans will control the House and the Senate starting in 2015. That means no new laws for two years. But for those two years, Obama will use the bureaucracy to promulgate devastating environmental regulations which will further cripple our industrial base. Those regulations will be challenged in the court but will be upheld by the liberal justices Obama is now appointing.

Ted Cruz is going to have his work cut out for him in 2017.

A majority now believe that Obama knowingly lied when he said, “If you like your health plan, you can keep your health plan.” Repairing the Web site won’t repair that broken bond of trust.

We tried to warn them. The GOP didn´t have a single fingerprint on this mess. It´s on the Democrats - in full and in all its gory glory.

...Democrats who are obsessing over the failure of the Web site are focused on the wrong problem. Americans are not just angry about a broken Web site; they are angry about a broken promise.

Blinded by the color of Obama´s skin and his veneer of intellectual and rhetorical brilliance, they fell for the cute guy instead of the competent one. Obama voters wanted to prove their lack of racist tendencies and their lofty elitist open-mindedness.

They are angry about being told they could keep their health plans but finding out that pledge was never meant to be kept.

Right there is the real truth: Keeping their health plans and doctors was never supposed to happen. It cannot happen if Obamacare was to work as planned by Obama. And his plan was single-payer from day one, i.e., socialized medicine.

Stop talking about the website. That´s irrelevant. The sub rosa plan and the lies are what matter.

The fact that Obama kept telling his adoring audiences of idiots (and that includes the press) that you can keep your plan; your doctor, etc should have been a clue that you were not going to, but no one (very few) dare challenge the First Black President.

And yes - ignore the website. The website is a symptom. The law is the disease. itself.

I agree that the website is just the tip of the iceberg, but those that have dared enter the website may have given the government all their passwords and account numbers. Today Fox reported that the government may be hacking into those computers when they enter Obamaland online. Not only is it easy for crooks to steal your info, it is also easy for the government and may be designed that way. I have told all my family members, over Thanksgiving, do not enter Obamaland whatever you do.

The web site, BFD. They´d better start worrying about their well being, period. When the law and its consequences hit home, when it takes away the family doctor only to be replaced with some intern. When a loved one dies from a very real malpractice or denial, the problems these pols have will mushroom. Some very angry Americans cometh, and that soon.

Yes, the web site is just a symptom. As previously posted, the underlying disease is the ACA. And I will NEVER give the government or any other entity my personal information via a computer. EVER. Computers, no matter how secure they are made, can still be hacked by very determined people. And the sheer scope of Obozocare will bring them out it hoards. A gold mine of info to be mined. Wait for it. It´s coming. And I can foresee millions of lawsuits being filed for a wide range of reasons. But, without COMPLETE repeal, there will be no or very little relief.

The Labor Department says employers added 192,000 jobs, slightly below February´s total of 197,000. Employers also added a combined 37,000 more jobs in February and January than previously estimated. The unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.7 percent. But a half-million Americans started looking for work last month, and most of them found jobs. Immigration reform advocates are fond of citing broad support for their cause. But in fact the coalition behind the Senate Gang of Eight comprehensive reform bill is fragile and loosely cobbled together. How could Big Labor and the Chamber of Commerce and the tech world and Big Agriculture all unite behind one bill? Very tentatively. It wouldn´t take much to break the coalition apart. And if that happens, the effort to enact comprehensive immigration reform could blow up, not just for the moment, but for some time to come. And there are signs that is exactly what is occurring now.
