Fire Your Team, Mr. President
National Journal, by Ron Fournier

Original Article

President Obama needs to fire himself. Not literally, of course, but practically: He needs to shake up his team so thoroughly that the new blood imposes change on how he manages the federal bureaucracy and leads. A series of self-inflicted wounds during his fifth year in office, capped by the botched launch of the Affordable Care Act, have Americans questioning the president´s competence and credibility. History suggests that second-term presidents rarely recover after their approval ratings fall as much as Obama´s have this year. History also suggests that there are two types of White House shake-ups. The first is mostly cosmetic and

First: Let me say, Obama does not have a TEAM. He has collection of individual idealogues; who each, having their own agendas. Rushing head-long to enact them, before the American Public rebels.
Obama is no leader, he is a "Herder of Cats."

Marxists bitterly cling to their staff, no matter how incompetent they are. Holder still holds onto his job, as does Sebelius. ValJar has refused to let mr. o. fire any of them.

Mr. Fournier, it is not about doing anything constructive for the country. It is all about the destruction. Amazed you have no awareness of the true agenda.

Ron, ACA was designed to fail. Trigger the collapse of the health insurance industry, institute single-payer as the antidote and gain an electorate completely dependent on the federal gov´t via dem rule in perpetuity.

ACA, this cuckoo in the nest, is developing exactly as planned. Hence, why fire anybody?

Fournier always has an interesting take. And he is absolutely correct that this is the best strategy to save 0bama´s presidency. And we all know it´s not going to happen. 0bama surrounds himself with people who will lie for him and to him. That narrows his choices for a new work team, considerably. He also surrounds himself with people who think the general population is more stupid than we really are. All of this is blatantly obvious. It may be frustrating to have the Republicans be obstructionists, but this seems to the the best case scenario until ´16.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) challenged the notion that former IRS official Lois Lerner still had the right to remain silent since she had made factual assertions since she invoked her Fifth Amendment right. Gowdy said that he counted 17 separate factual assertions by Lerner which in his opinion was enough to force her to be cross-examined. “That’s a lot of talking for someone who wants to remain silent. That’s a lot of talking!” Gowdy thundered. “If you honestly that you can make 17 separate factual assertions and still invoke your right to remain silent, then please tell me what waiver is?”

New York - Most New Yorkers don´t even know it exists. But a million forgotten souls are buried in mass graves dug by convicts on a tiny, forbidden island east of the Bronx. Since 1869, still-born babies, the homeless, the poor and the unclaimed have been stacked one upon the other, three coffins deep, on Hart Island. Corpses are interred in great, anonymous trenches. There are no tombstones. Small white posts in the ground mark each 150 adult bodies. A thousand children and infants are buried together per grave. It is one of the largest cemeteries in the United States. And the least

A House committee on Wednesday accused former IRS official Lois Lerner of breaking agency rules by aggressively urging the agency to deny tax-exempt status to Crossroads GPS, the giant political nonprofit founded by Karl Rove, and several other conservative groups as recently as January 2013. The Republican-led panel released emails showing that Lerner took an interest in Crossroads GPS — inquiring with IRS officials why they hadn’t had their tax-exempt status revoked. The committee letter calls her actions “an aggressive and improper pursuit of Crossroads by Lerner, but no evidence she directed review of similarly situated left-leaning groups.”

Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators.
