John McCain joins Ted Cruz
in assailing ´Obama, Harry
Reid and Washington liberals´

Washington Examiner, by Paul Bedard

Sen. John McCain is starting to sound like a Tea Party “wacko bird.” In a new fundraising letter for the Republican National Committee released Friday, McCain lashed out at “Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Washington liberals,” who he claimed are destroying the United States. Liberals, he warned, “have taken us down a dark and dangerous path defined by record levels of debt, ever-expanding government, and a lead-from-behind defense strategy. There´s not much time left to turn things around.” McCain’s name carries a lot of weight in fundraising because he was the 2008 GOP nominee and is a leading voice of

Comments:
They hypocrisy of this duplicitous old fool is absolutely stunning. This coming from the guy (along with his sweet buddy Miss Lindsey) who is always first to reach across the aisle to the enemy. Now allegedly McPain woke up and instead of constantly bashing the conservative wing of the party he and McConnell et al should do all they can to join together and destroy and defeat the Democrats. I sure wish I could believe him.

Are McCain and the rest of the flaccid Republican Party just starting to wake up to the fact that liberals are trying to destroy the USA?

Better late than never but where have these RINO clowns been?

Our lunchroom at work has a fridge, one side of which is covered in those magnetic words that you can scramble into a goofy sentence. This looks like a product of this pastime. Must be something has scared McAinus into this. My guess would be something to do with RNC donations being at the lowest point , ever.

John, standing shoulder to shoulder with the Republican team hasn´t worked for you yet. You continue to be confused and lost standing long side the rats. You are no member of the TEA Party, and it is highly questionable you are even a Republican or a Conservative. The only correct decision you have made recently was to stand beside Gov. Palin before your team beat up on her and attempted to throw her aside into the gutter

Stick a sock in it Juan. I am not giving one single penny to the RNC. They lost me a long time ago.

Mr. Bedard, McCain lost in 2008. He delivered this country into the grip of the radical left for at least half a generation. He sabotaged the campaign after he saw himself and Gov. Palin leading in the polls. He should have retired from public life in disgrace long ago. You say just because he was the candidate in 2008 it carries weight in 2013 fundraising. Why promote such an idea?

Isn´t Cruz the same guy he was, until recently, referring to as a wacko bird? His internal poll numbers must be just appalling in regards to his next election. His finely tuned nose must have sniffed out a recall petition. Don´t forget, he was the subject of one that nearly ended his career, then 9/11 happened and saved his neck.

Or maybe he is finally convinced that riding the coattails of the most popular man in politics right now is a good thing.

McCain wants to help McConnell win his primary. These old grifters band together and move away from their leftist buddies every time there´s an election coming. McConnell has allowed his actual position regarding the Republican base to become public even as he tried to spin it away. He needs all the help he can get.

The leftist wing of the Republican party needs to be retired.

That said, I really hope someone in KY is doing the work at vetting McConnell´s opponents. Support from Democrats means nothing when you consider Democrats know that could mean death to a particular candidate´s campaign.

You may remember that I unnecessarily pointed out that Ted´s last name translates to English as "Cross." Well, "Mc" translates as "son of.," which is why so many people refer to (Ugh!) Senator McCain as "that son of...."

Elected officials from across the American West, from top lawmakers to county commissioners, held a historic gathering in Utah in recent days to discuss how Western states could wrest control of the almost 50 percent of land in the region currently claimed by the federal government. Aside from constitutional concerns — with a few exceptions, the U.S. Constitution does not authorize ownership or control over land by the political class in Washington, D.C. — the Western leaders and legislators cited economic harm, environmental degradation, loss of tax revenue, and numerous other reasons for the effort. “Freedom.” We use that word a lot. Do we all really know what that word means? It’s used in so many different ways. Do we understand how it is attained? Most importantly, do we understand how it is used by some to actually take freedom away? Simply put, freedom is the ability to act without hindrance or restraint. Freedom is owning your life, your actions, your labor. We say we support the “principles” of freedom. But what are those principles and where did they come from? First of all, we must understand principles are not legislated or invented. Principles are discovered.

Now that Obamacare is, in Chris Wallace’s generous phrasing this past Sunday, “not an unmitigated disaster,” attention is turning to how conservatives will deal with the cognitive dissonance of a law they swore would collapse functioning about according to plan. That brings us to Steve Doocy, who managed to cram about as much untruth as humanly possible into one monologue on Fox & Friends this morning: Also, this is not good

Harry Reid isn’t backing down from his claim that rancher Cliven Bundy’s supporters are “domestic terrorists.” It’s astonishing rhetoric given the White House’s characterization of the mass shooting by a genuine terrorist, Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 Americans at the Fort Hood Army base after yelling “Allahu Akbar!” (God is great.) Rather than labeling Hasan’s actions “domestic terrorism,” the Obama administration is prosecuting him for having committed “workplace violence.” Democratic rhetoric is become ever more desperate and overheated as we approach the November midterm elections. Last week, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said that GOP positions on immigration were motivated by

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning

It may not be tomorrow, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) says "something will happen" to force a Nevada rancher to obey a court order to stop grazing his cattle on federal land and pay his grazing fees. "It´s obvious that you can´t just walk away from this," Reid said in an April 18 interview with a Nevada´s KSNV-TV News 3 program “What’s Your Point?” "You can´t have a law that is -- we´re a nation of laws, not of men and women," he said. (Video) Reid noted that most cattlemen pay their taxes, pay their fees, and follow

Perhaps the most remarkable feature of American democracy is the magnificent estate of public land that it reserved from the very beginning for the use of all citizens, rich or poor. There is nothing like it in the democracies of Europe, which came into being with nations already carved up into private fiefdoms. The Great Idea that hundreds of millions of acres of forests, deserts, rivers and prairies should be owned by, and managed for, the public interest has had a profound and lasting influence on American culture. But not everyone has accepted it. Cliven Bundy’s armed standoff with the National Park

At a petite 5’3’’, Sage Santangelo may not look like a combat fighter at first glance. But the female second lieutenant has never let that hold her back from pursuing her dream of becoming an infantry officer in the Marine Corps. Growing up, Santangelo found she was always able to keep up with the guys and enjoyed playing hockey on all boys’ teams. But when she joined the Marines, Santangelo found the playing field changed; she was segregated into female-only training units and as a woman, was relegated to less strenuous physical training than her male counterparts. And that’s why,
