Health-Care Website, Improving,

Wall Street Journal, by Louise Radnofsky, Spencer E. Ante

Despite recent progress at HealthCare.gov, a raft of problems will remain beyond the Obama administration´s Saturday deadline to make the troubled federal insurance website work. The news isn´t all bad: Users say the site looks better, pages load faster, and more people are getting through to sign up for health plans. But technical problems still affect HealthCare.gov´s ability to verify users´ identities and transmit accurate enrollment data to insurers, officials say. The data center that supports the site faces continuing challenges, and tools for processing payments to insurers haven´t been built. Technical staff in Washington have been racing up to

November has been rescheduled, there are now 700 extra days between the 29th at midnight and the 30th. Tomorrow will now be November 29.001, 2013. We will pay these days back at the rate of one day per year, plus interest, over the next millenium. Ben Bernanke will drop the new calendars from black helicopters over all major US cities in the morning. Watch the skies!

I wouldn´t be surprised if there are a bunch of LoFo´s out there who figure that once Obama fixes the website, he will also fix the really high prices and the unnecessary extra stuff each person would have to pay for.

They´ll be astonished when they find out that this isn´t so.

Until then, they´re happily not thinking about it, surely not until after Christmas.

Would´t it be hilarious if we found out Obamacare pays for hair and nail extensions.

I think most people have already passed on the website as an option.Instead people are exploring any plan B they up up with.

After obama rammed this through with no GOP votes,he now wants them to help him bailout of the mess.

The problem with the website is that it is such an accessible symbol of BO´s failure. You access it and the site is down, it crashes, or it fails to work for the vast majority of people. ANYONE could see that and it couldn´t be explained away.

However, once the web site is working they are prepared to spin a vast web of lies and fake statistics to show that things are not so bad. For example, how many people actually have not been able to keep their health plan? The figures are unclear and subject to spin. Say it is 10 million. Why, that´s only 3 percent of the country. Regrettable but necessary. Under the bus they go. And those people got much better coverage under BOCare, don´t cha know, even though it is going to coat them an extra $5 to $10 thousand a year for bloated coverage that most of them don´t need and, in the end, refuse to buy.

Spin, spin, spin. Why do you think BO has been inviting in the liberal press. Spin, spin, spin. They are also paying of groups to generate "success stories". Soon one person that managed to sign up will seem like thousands. Remember "Julia"? Be ready to hear about lots of BOCare Julias. Spin, spin, spin.

Once the website, the unavoidable "face" of BOCare seems like it is "working", the rest will be made up to order.

The new strategy is to delay those new little surprises - like the majority of people on employer subsidized healthcare (which is still the majority of the country) will also be dumped from their plans, until after the midterms. Obama had to do something to shut the Democrats up. I think the voters, even the dumb ones, understand enough about this now to be frightened.

Obama and his regime are so morally bankrupt and lawless as to tell citizens to gather their personal and tax information in order to enter that data into their insecure, eminently hackable travesty of a website, or to have navigators without background checks assist them in same. When asked directly before Congress the website developer bigwigs said they would NOT feel safe putting their personal data into this thing. This not all just regime incompetence. It is criminal.

#11 - I´ve seen plenty of defeatist "no matter what the Obammunist will always win" scenarios on this site (and I always wonder why anyone on ldot thinks that way at all, but as Jeff Kuehner says, let that go).

But yours today is one of the least likely with the most moving parts ever. Oh sure, I guess it _could_ still happen that way. But come on - wake up and smell the encouragement! This debacle could also be the final straw, and we could at least turn the ship away from an iceberg. The long haul of problem fixing would of course follow. But these days I feel that much-maligned word: hope.

If the website doesn´t work, yet more confirmation of their staggering incompetence. But if it does work, it´s even worse for them because many more people will be furious to learn how badly they´ve been lied to and how much their new policies are going to cost them.

The fit is going to hit the shan no matter what they do.
