Obama’s sorry story
New York Daily News, by Editorial

Original Article

Desperate times call for desperate measures, so on Thursday one desperate President, Barack Obama, attempted to sell the idea that he had found a way to keep his Obamacare pledge: “If you like your insurance plan, you can keep it.” This exuberantly delivered and oft-repeated sales pitch for the program that has dominated his presidency “ended up not being accurate,” as Obama mincingly put it. He had no choice — not when health insurers complying with his regulations have canceled policies for millions of Americans. Not when those newly uninsured cannot buy coverage using Obama’s botched website. Not when congressional Democrats are panicking

Probably the first critical editorial of Obama that the Leftist Rag Daily News has ever written.
Thwack! Was that a frozen flounder slapping across Obama´s smug face?

You can´t stop a speeding six mile long train in one minute.
Obama´s too stupid to know that if you lost your insurance it´s gone like yesterday.
The rates can´t come back. The dumb idiot Obama keeps digging deeper. The low IQ doofus is in the room let him speak.

The only difference between Richard Nixon and Zerobama Nothingness is that in his upcoming resignation speech, which the very MSM that got him elected will force him to make, the oft repeated mantra will be "I am not a liar".

If the MSM were to fail to force him out, they would risk losing enough credibility that they could fail to get Hitlery elected in 2016. PLUS, they will lose hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue as their lack of credibility destroys their ability to fool the American people. Half of us, anyway.

Funny scenario isn´t it? Liars forcing a liar to tell one final lie as they run him out of town for lying.

Until yesterday, I was somewhat gleeful over Obama’s distress – happy to see his arrogant overreach producing distress within Democratic circles so recently celebrating their success. I am no longer gleeful.

We are entering into extremely dangerous times for our country. The rule of law is crumbling. The President is proclaiming rules not sanctioned by the Constitution. Individual state governors have been given license to choose to follow a proclamation of the President that is at variance with the law. The solidarity of our nation is at stake.

I don´t believe Obama is going anywhere. There is no way his ego would permit him to resign. He believes that through his cult of personality, he can survive anything and so far, he´s right. The more fitting end to his pathetic career would be that he would be the most lame duck president ever and that he would serve out his term knowing he had nothing and was an abject failure and totally irrelevant. For a narcissist like Obama it would be devastating. It couldn´t happen to a more deserving person. The fact that he would take his party with him is the icing on the cake.

The man is a delusional fool!
Yes, he is glib, but he is ignorant.
He thinks he is king not president.
If our country survives the Dimocrats assault on our constitution almost everything he is doing will not be laws.
He cannot simply change laws at every whim.
Even the king of England has not been able to do this since the 13th century.

This is an education for a whole lot of people on how liberalism actually works. It also exposes the true utter incompetence of Obama and his Administration. True, some will never get it (or admit it) but there are millions of Americans who flat haven´t paid any attention to what their government is doing to them - dismissing it all as ´politics´. Now it has become personal. Good morning America. How are ya?

#2, you´ve got this wrong: Obama isn´t stupid. All this chaos is deliberate and is going according to plan - Obama´s plan to destroy the private health insurance industry and force everyone into government-run health care, where they control every facet of your life.

Don´t anybody make the mistake of thinking that Obamacare´s problems are technical glitches, bad planning or misguided thinking. All is going precisely as it was intended. That´s the scary part.

As for his half-arsed apology, which it wasn´t, his credibility is shot. If anyone on either side of the aisle is naive enough to believe Obama about any promises he makes, they have only to check his record of trustworthiness and his record of unfulfilled promises on a whole range of subjects, including Benghazi, NSA, IRS and everything else in between.

Raise your hand if you trust Obama´s promises. (Not you, Joe and Susan and Kathleen and Eric.)

The metanarrative on this thread of comments is correct - the nation, we hope, will survive this bumbling fool of a knave (think David Dinkins in NYC) but the constitutional precedent he is trying to establish is more dangerous than when Nixon threatened to defy the Supreme Court when SCOTUS told Nixon to turn over the WH tapes. In a similar fashion Zero told the insurance companies yesterday to break the law that the Congress has passed and he signed.

We can only hope that cooler heads will prevail (think Boehner/Cruz) and they will pass a repeal of Obamacare that the Boy King will have to sign or perhaps be run out of town on a rail the way Nixon was. Remember Nixon was done in by his own party, viz., Howard Baker, et al. I cannot think of a Dem who might betray the president (et tu Brute?) but there may be one waiting in the wings.

First came the realization that something was so wrong that it could no longer be endured; thus, these powerful words were written by very wise men who put the nation above themselves
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands....

Then came even more magnificent words by the same and wider representation of men who were blessed to be able to look into the future and envision times such as these when it would be exceedingly necessary to call upon their words.

We the People of the United States,...do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Only diabolic minds would try to erase or pervert these carefully thought-out words from our hearts.

Sit back and think about the past couple of months. Every day Carney was at the podium assuring everyone that the problems with the Obamacare bill were being resolved. The truth was they knew it was bombing, and millions of Americans were losing their coverage. Truly the most disgraceful, deceitful program ever unleashed on the American people.

Now they have doubled up on their lying and blame game. The truth has finally emerged... inept Community Organizers and confirmed socialists don´t have any grasp on reality, in fact they live in an ideological nether land of socialist dogma. And, it never works.

Here´s the deal. Obama isn´t King, and he just can´t legally or constitutionally change a law passed by both houses of Congress and signed by the President. All three being Democrat owned by the way. This must go before the Supreme Court. You can´t arbitrarily change the law. Congress must do that and it goes through the process again.

The bill must be reversed completely and a Special Counsel appointed to determine if Bush was at fault. S/O

" Is it even legal ? " is the big question. Bozo has run roughshod over the Constitution. And congress keeps letting him get away with it. Look " Folks ", he signed a law. He has no authority to just step in and changed signed law without approval from congress. He has changed said law numerous times now ; it doesn´t even resemble the original what with all the ´ exceptions ´ to unions, friends , donors, etc..We´re talking dictator here.

#6, Obama clearly does not understand how incompetent he is at running the country. However, there are those who do, and many of them sit on the left.

Obama may not wish to leave the golf, the Air Force One plane rides and the cheering crowds. But if he can´t see the handwriting on the wall, there are those who can. If it looks like Obama will make their communist/progressive world fall into total disrepute, look for them to make him an offer he can´t refuse.

We´ve all seen the visual effect off accidents, train wrecks, fires, all kinds of filmed damages, when the camera is reversed, and the event is suddenly back to normal before any wrong doing.
Obama´s train wreck can never be reversed. The damage is done, there is no repair. Time for the junk yard teams to come in and haul away the incredibly, irreversibly damaged pieces of junk. There is no fix.
The lesson learned: communist medical interference with the lives of a free people, can never, and HAS NEVER, worked in any socialist, fascist or communist country anywhere. Blah blah blab, Sweden. blah blah blah, Canada. Really? Why do so many Canadians ans Swedes COME HERE for medical treatment. Time to give up all the commie cliches. Time for our brainwashing press and TV media to open their commie closed eyes and be truthful to their consumer constituents. Stop lying!

The outcome of this struggle between good and evil will turn on the fact that BHO is a coward. In fact, Obama is the king of the cowards. He is like the captain of the Costa-Concordia, his folly has put his ship on the rocks and he is racing to a life boat.

As the ship takes on water, he will run over crew and passengers alike to save his own hide.

There is more than one in his crew who will drop a dime on him to save his/her own life -- bet on it and bet that he knows it also (and is very afraid). The only question is which one will break first and start the flood that will surely follow.

What´s that old saying . . . "a coward dies a thousand deaths, but a brave man dies but once".

Lost in the weeds of Obamacare is the program they started in 2010 for uninsured with preexisting conditions (PCIP). There were existing state plans, but because their enrollees would slide right into Obamacare, they were sure some 650,000 would sign up in the first year. When enrollment was pitiful, they played games with premiums and benefits to entice those in state programs to switch. They ultimately ended with 100,000 enrolled but consumed the entire $5 billion that had been allotted to cover 650,000 people. If we don´t repeal Obamacare, all of our healthcare will be administer by these idiots.

Why barely six weeks ago during the govt shutdown, Reid et al were all proclaiming that the ACA wass ssettled law - nothing could be change within it, except of course, what Obama wants to change. Hello Congress Hello?

This morning on local talk radio there was a guest from Heritage Foundation who specializes in healthcare and insurance discussing Obama´s actions yesterday. One thing this man said that was spot on is that Obama and his allies aren´t ignorant of the free market, but that they openly despise it. It´s not ignorance but determination to destroy our economic system, except so long as their pockets are stuffed with money.

Mark Steyn was on Hugh Hewett´s show talking about Obama´s speech. Steyn said:

MS: Yeah, I think that’s right. He’s basically came along, and he said if you like your pickup, you can keep your pickup. And then he passed a law in which he opened up your gas cap and put a ton of sugar into your pickup so it wouldn’t work anymore.

HH: (laughing)

MS: And that’s basically it. And then he says well, it doesn’t matter, because you have the opportunity now to buy an Aston Martin. And yeah, it costs a little more than your pickup did, but I think you’ll like the better performance.

I am not a business man, but my common sense tells me things like how business and the free market and capitalism works. Our community organizer president has no clue as to how these things function. He has a run away freight train on his hands and he thinks it can stop on a dime and turn around.
One thing 36 years as a civilian employee of the US Navy taught me, the man on the bridge is responsible for the ship. If a seaman apprentice pulls a plug near the keel and the ship sinks, the captain is held responsible. Obama is the man on the bridge. Whatever happens during his watch, HE is responsible, nobody else. If he truly does not know what is going on aboard his ship, then he needs to take a good look at his aides and staff. Otherwise, the captain will go down with his ship. And that´s OK, I just don´t want to drown with it.

They can´t imagine the big bad wolf is dressed as their leader and it is they who are the sheep.
Where did Obama get his concept that an exe order was the immediate law of his land.

That decision angered many of Mozilla’s customers, and they didn’t hold back on their criticism, according to The Daily Caller, which reported: The decision to remove the man who invented the web scripting language JavaScipt did not sit well with many customers — many of them pelted Mozilla’s website with a surge

PHILADELPHIA— Sam Robinson said it´s been about 15 years since he last played the videogame Tetris on a Game Boy. On Saturday night, he played it on the side of a skyscraper. Robinson, 30, was among the hundreds of Tetris fans who had a little fun Saturday with a big version of the classic video game on the side of the 29-story Cira Centre in downtown Philadelphia. "It has been probably 15 years since I played Tetris last on a Game Boy, and it´s much different playing on the side of building that´s a half-mile away," the city resident said. In 2004, UPS announced a new policy for its drivers: the right way to get to any destination was to avoid left-hand turns. Even if that means following this route that a UPS driver described to an incredulous press member: "We´re gonna make a right turn onto 135th to Western. We´ll make another right on Western down to 139th. Righ turn on 139th and go down to the end of the block and we´ll make another right turn." When better tracking systems emerged in 2001, the package delivery service took a closer look at how trucks performed when delivering packages. As a

A half-dozen years ago, Brendan Eich donated $1,000 to the campaign for Proposition 8, the California ballot initiative that set out to ban same-sex marriage. It passed with 52 percent of the vote, but was later overturned by the courts. (Snip)Calls for his ouster were premised on the notion that all support for Proposition 8 was hateful, and that a CEO should be judged not just by his or her conduct in the professional realm, but also by political causes he or she supports as a private citizen. If that attitude spreads, it will damage our society.

KUALA LUMPUR—A family member of the captain of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 said the family is frustrated with the suspicion surrounding the pilot´s motives and character. Capt. Zaharie Ahmad Shah, with over 18,000 hours of flying time, commanded Flight 370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8 when it disappeared with 239 passengers and crew aboard. Fariq Abdul Hamid was the second officer. Investigators looking into the plane´s disappearance have focused on the pilot, co-pilot and crew members but haven´t ruled out the possibility that one or more passengers were involved, people familiar with the investigation said Friday. Mr. Zaharie´s relative,

“Truly, this man was the son of God.” Thus speaks a Roman centurion at the end of George Stevens’s inaptly named The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965). It’s a line that always gets a big laugh, partly because the idea of anything so irreligious as Hollywood hokum commenting on the provenance of Jesus Christ is axiomatically funny, but mostly because the centurion is played by John Wayne, a movie star who might have known a son of a gun when he saw one, but who patently knew precious little else. Except, one learns from Scott Eyman’s exhaustive new biography, John

When future generations come to look back on the alarm over global warming that seized the world towards the end of the 20th century, much will puzzle them as to how such a scare could have arisen. They will wonder why there was such a panic over a 0.4 per cent rise in global temperatures between 1975 and 1998, when similar rises between 1860 and 1880 and 1910 and 1940 had given no cause for concern. They will see these modest rises as just part of a general warming that began at the start of the 19th century, as the

With no evidence that Russia has any plans to withdraw its troops from the border of Ukraine, some former Soviet states are worried about their own regional security. Farther east, other countries, closely aligned with Moscow rather than the West, say they are trying to ease tensions. And several central Asian states have responded by simply staying silent. The United States and NATO announced this week that they are boosting military support in the Baltic region, which is on especially high alert. Moscow has long complained about Russians´ rights there, and its takeover of Crimea suggests it may be willing to

Reginald Clarke is someone Obamacare was designed to help. The 55-year-old, who was homeless for a time, now has an apartment in Gardena and a street-cleaning job that pays him $14,000 a year. He hadn´t visited a doctor in four or five years. Then, last fall, his girlfriend told him he would be eligible for Medi-Cal starting Jan. 1. "I was excited. I could go get a physical," he said. "There are a few things I need." But joy turned to exasperation when Clarke´s application, filed in December, was mistakenly rejected — and then seemed to disappear from county and state computer systems. By law,

The president gave two speeches this week, one in the Rose Garden to talk about Obamacare and one in Ann Arbor, Mich., to push minimum wage increases. What did we learn? We learned that President Obama is most comfortable in campaign mode, and his campaigning has gotten downright ugly. His Rose Garden speech was a typical self-congratulatory moment for supposedly hitting 7.1 million Obamacare sign-ups — although we know that once again, the White House is ignoring some inconvenient truths. We also learned that the president was vain enough to asked the networks to cover his speech in prime time, but

In Dearborn, Mich., home to over 40,000 Americans of Arab descent, some Muslim parents have complained about flyers handed out at public schools advertising an Easter egg hunt at a local Presbyterian church. The Muslim parents assert that the flyers – emblazoned with the word “Eggstravaganza!” – violate the separation of church and state widely ascribed to the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause, reports the Detroit Free Press. Students at three Dearborn elementary schools received the flyers. A large number of Muslim students attend the schools. The “Eggstravaganza!” is scheduled to take place on April 12 event at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

Former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has sworn off running again for elected office, but Americans have certainly heard that one before. Speculation that Romney might run again has largely been stoked by the reunion he planned to host last month in Park City, Utah, for members of his 2012 campaign and debate team and a string of recent public appearances. He has appeared on TV news shows 12 times in the past six months. That’s essentially on pace with Michigan GOP Rep. Mike Rogers, who led all national politicians last year with 26 appearances over 12 months. Romney has

WASHINGTON- Seven million people signed up, so there is an appetite for President Barack Obama´s health care law, but that doesn´t guarantee success for the country´s newest social program. Big challenges are lurking for the next enrollment season, which starts Nov. 15. Chief among them are keeping premiums and other consumer costs in check, and overhauling an enrollment process that was advertised as customer-friendly but turned out to be an ordeal. "They have demonstrated the law can work, but we are a ways off from being able to judge its success," said Larry Levitt, an expert on health insurance markets

A female transgender student wants an apology from a North Carolina college for being detained by a security officer and sent home for using the women’s bathroom. The 22-year-old freshman, Andraya Williams, believes she was discriminated against during a March 19 incident at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, N.C. because of her looks. The freshman said she was leaving the restroom and going to her social studies class when a female officer stopped her and requested her student ID, according to a statement released by the Transgender Law Center. The officer then laughed while asking the student if
