Backpedaling Bam is

New York Post, by John Podhoretz

On Thursday, President Obama conducted the “Springtime for Hitler” of press conferences. He came out at noon and proceeded to blather his way through an hour of self-justifications and evasions and apologies and complaints. And as he went on, you could almost see America reacting as the audience in “The Producers” did to the happy-talk number about Adolf romping at his retreat in Berchtesgaden — with gaped-mouth astonishment. First, he said he had not been “informed directly that the Web site would not be working.” What on earth does that mean? Was he somehow informed indirectly? In an affronted tone, the president

And he claims the "fumbles" are not going to end the game? He has neither a good offense nor defense. More importantly, he is not a good QB. So how is moving the ball?

Our lives, our country´s future is in the hands of this inept fool pretending to be president. This should scare everyone of us. Read or better yet watch the performance that he gave yesterday. He truly does not have a clue. I wonder if the lofos understand what they have thrust upon us? Every dem who voted for this mess needs to be hounded and held accountable. Pass it so you can find out what is in it? pelosi needs to be horse whipped.

No Obama I might eat a box of Crackerjacks to get to the prize but I wasn´t waiting for a dumb jackass like you.
When you don´t read your own bills you sign off on then spout campaign slogans instead of governing for the people this is what happens.

This breezy, giggly, article is somewhat inappropriate to address the mess that is hurdling toward a constitutional crisis for our country.

I agree with Texas Governor Rick Perry who said yesterday, “This is a staggering display of a reckless President cavalierly instructing states to ignore federal law.”

The unraveling has begun. And it can´t be fixed. In fact every "fix" will cause even more disruptive and embarrassing breaks.

This truly is what happens when an incompetent yet arrogant elites´ dogma gets run over by their karma.

Obama is trying to head off the two bills in Congress that would neuter the whole plan. Better to blame it on the insurance companies who will now be demonized because they spent 3 years trying to comply with the law and are now being told they must break it to cover the Democrats behinds. Maybe they shouldn´t have been so eager to support this. Hmmm?

Podhoretz outdid himself on this piece. Funny and very, very en pointe.

But look, he went on to say, this Web-site thing isn’t easy! See, it has programs and things in it. “The Web site itself is doing a lot of stuff,” he explained, because, you know, other Web sites don’t do a lot of stuff. “There’s just a — a bunch of pieces to it that made it challenging.”

Obama is still in adolescent mode with his "bunch of stuff", "lots of folks", "let me be clear" and other just plain icky phraseology. That aside, the fact he uses the word "challenging" is so obvious as to be condescending. But then, he condescends to other mere mortals at every turn in his crooked road.

Where does he live, anyway? In his own mind? The man is totally detached from what is really happening. I wonder if Valerie deliberately keeps him in the dark or if dark is just his entire persona.

Your average porn star has a Web site more functional than that. She’d have to, you see, because she’s in the private market and is out of business if her site goes down.

Now that is funny.

This goes to show you that just because people tell you about someone doesn´t necessarily mean it is true. Yesterday, we saw the clear unvarnished truth about dear leader. He is clueless. He takes no responsibility for his signature law. He has no curiosity about how it is implement. He has no compassion for the people he says he is so concerned about. He has no answers to questions but rambles on forever while trying to deflect from that fact. He embarrassed himself and his party. All he has left is swagger, but that´s pretty much all he ever had. Now everyone knows it.

When a person is believed to be a danger to himself or others, a physician, clergy or police may place that individual into a Behavioral Health Center for 30 days of observation.

It´s a once in a Century happening. Everyone in the world is laughing at us and our pretend president at the same time. Friend and foe alike. It would be amusing in a ´told you so´ world , but he has screwed up a full one sixth of our economy and ruined the once best medical system in the world. If one sixth goes, so goes the rest.

This is reality, not racist. Deal with it. When is the House going to start Impeachment proceedings. The Senate just might go along with it. There are seats to be protected, and a need for Democrats to appear somewhat shocked at the mess they created along with the Community Organizer.

Well we are talking about a program that spends trillions - or millions of millions.

Yet somehow the head of government does not even inquire about the status of his hallmark program, the core of his presidency.

To mix another metaphor - where does the buck stop?

FTA: The only comparable squirm-inducing moment I can remember in politics came in 2011 when Texas Gov. Rick Perry went silent for 53 seconds during a Republican presidential debate...

That was the best comparison he could make? It certainly was a very uncomfortable moment for Gov. Perry, however he never has been praised by all the sycophants for being such a "gifted orator" like 0bama. For that I say it is pure bunk. If you detach 0bma from his teleprompter he is nothing but a mumbling liar who can´t string together a coherent sentence. Running regularly has long been linked to a host of health benefits, including weight control, stress reduction, better blood pressure and cholesterol. However, recent research suggests there may a point of diminishing returns with running. A number of studies have suggested that a "moderate" running regimen -- a total of two to three hours per week, according to one expert -- appears best for longevity, refuting the typical "more is better" mantra for physical activity. The researchers behind the newest study on the issue say people who get either no exercise or high-mileage runners both tend to have shorter lifespans

Further loosening the reins on the role of money in politics, the U.S. Supreme Court today struck down restrictions on the grand total that any person can contribute to all federal candidates for office. Today´s decision left intact the cap of $2,600 per election that a contributor to give to any single candidate for federal office, but it invalidated the separate limit on how much can be contributed to all federal candidates put together — $48,600. The law was challenged by the Republican Party and an Alabama businessman, Shaun McCutcheon, who argued that the contribution ceilings were an unconstitutional restriction on his

Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry are dangling release of Jonathan Pollard, an American sentenced to life in prison in 1987 for spying for Israel, in the hope of pushing the Jewish state to release hundreds of Palestinians convicted of terrorism offenses in the hope of convincing the Palestinians to get with the peace program. MANDEVILLE, La. — The conventional wisdom is that the Senate race between three-term Democrat Mary Landrieu and Republican Rep. Bill Cassidy will be about Obamacare. Will Landrieu´s vote for the president´s national health care scheme -- the decisive vote, as Republicans often point out -- finally end a storied Louisiana political career? There´s no doubt Obamacare will play a big role in the campaign. Talk about spiking the ball. Speaking in the White House Rose Garden yesterday afternoon, President Obama declared flatly that the Affordable Care Act, which he proudly referred to as ObamaCare, “is doing what it’s supposed to do; it’s working.” The president had reason to be pleased. According to the White House, 7.1 million Americans signed up, slightly more than the Congressional Budget Office had said was necessary for the law to work as planned. Considering the Web-site disaster and all other problems that we’ve seen so far, this represents a significant accomplishment. New York was one of the best-performing states in the nation.

In a meeting with the heads of the five service branches in 2010, President Obama offered the leaders a choice: Support my efforts to end the military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy, or resign. In a video obtained by BuzzFeed via a Freedom of Information Act request, Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Robert Papp revealed that Obama was unwilling to compromise with service leaders over DADT during a meeting in 2010. “We were called into the Oval Office and President Obama looked all five service chiefs in the eye and said, ‘This is what I want to do.’ I cannot divulge everything

Before getting to the speech itself, it’s worth noting a few things. When the Democrats passed and Barack Obama signed Obamacare, the majority opposed it. About 56%, in fact. A majority have consistently opposed that law ever since. The Obama administration touted 7 million sign-ups by March 31 as “success.” When that goal appeared to be unreachable, the administration suggested that maybe 5 or 6 million would be enough. Now, as if by magic, they have their number. Somehow. All along, the administration has touted false numbers of enrollees. All along, the administration has neglected to admit that Obamacare is

A few months back, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius stated for the record that 7 million Obamacare sign-ups by the end of March would constitute success. She was clear about it. But then February came, and February always stinks. It’s just a lousy month. You’re tired of winter, you’re still miles away from spring, and no one was signing up for Obamacare. That 7 million figure looked totally unreachable. So Sebelius does what every other member of the Obama administration does when confronted with inconvenient facts. She lied. In a Tuesday appearance on HuffPost Live to discuss outreach to African American communities,

Obamacare, the plan purportedly created to provide health coverage for the uninsured, has enrolled just 1.7% of America´s 48.6 million uninsured. News of the disastrous numbers comes as nervous Democrats and President Barack Obama, ahead of the November midterm elections, did their best on Monday´s enrollment deadline to put a positive spin on the deeply unpopular Obamacare program. (Snip) The White House now claims an Obamacare enrollment figure of six million people. However, according to The New York Times, at least 20% of those never paid their premiums to activate coverage, leaving them uninsured.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, criticized last year by a Vatican official for her support of abortion, received a rosary Tuesday from President Obama that was blessed by Pope Francis. Mrs. Pelosi told reporters of the president’s gift after having lunch with Mr. Obama at the White House. The president met with the pope last week at the Vatican. “I was happy to receive a rosary blessed by Pope Francis,” she said. “It means a great deal to me.” Last year, a Vatican official in Rome said that Mrs. Pelosi should be denied communion. “This is a person who obstinately,

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better.´ But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged Rose Garden appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night. Others were already insured, including millions who lost coverage when their existing policies were suddenly

Washington — The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Monday finalized long-delayed rules that will require automakers to install back-up cameras in all vehicles by May 2018. The new rules set rear visibility standards that automakers will initially be able to meet only by installing cameras. At the same time, major automakers said Monday they are petitioning the Obama administration to let them end the use of side view mirrors if they install cameras that could perform the same task — a move that could improve fuel efficiency. A RAND study pours buckets of cold water on the Obama administration’s claims that it has nearly reached 7 million sign-ups for Obamacare. The whole point of Obamacare, supposedly, was to insure the uninsured and bend the cost curve down. Those who had insurance were supposed to be able to keep it. Families were supposed to start saving about $2500 a year. If you believed the Obama administration. Reality, according to RAND‘s study, is that the Obama administration’s 7 million figure is deceptive. Supposing 7 million have actually signed up and paid their first premium — which is not a given,

With Chris Christie in deep trouble, Republican poobahs are reportedly looking to Jeb Bush to save their party in 2016. The former two-term governor of Florida speaks fluent Spanish, is a convert to Catholicism, and has high name recognition. Jeb could raise millions of dollars over night by just saying “yes” to running. Despite all this, there are strong reasons Republicans should say no to him. 1. His last name is poison. Let’s face it, if Jeb Bush had the last name of Something Else he would have already run for president in 2008 or 2012. According to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll registered voters were asked if they would definitely NOT vote for Jeb Bush and 50 percent said they would not.

Spanish historians say they have discovered what Monty Python could not – the Holy Grail, the legendary cup Jesus supposedly drank from at the Last Supper. The Spaniards – Margarita Torres and José Ortega del Río – believe the 2,000-year-old vessel is in a church in León in northern Spain. The pair spent three years studying the history of the chalice and last week published a book, “The Kings of the Grail,” making their case. The onyx chalice, they explained, was concealed within another antique vessel known as the Chalice of Doña Urruca, which is located in León’s basilica of

New General Motors CEO Mary Barra will testify before Congress Tuesday about why it took so long for GM to issue product safety recalls involving faulty ignition switches that caused air bags to fail in crashes, contributing to thirteen deaths. She will testify alongside David Friedman, the acting head of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), who will be expected to explain why the government did not act sooner. They ought to be accompanied by former Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, as well as "car czars" Steven Rattner and Ron Bloom, together with White House and Treasury officials who oversaw
