The Hill [DC], by Jonathan Easley

Sen. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) will ask two oversight agencies for a full-blown investigation into the problems surrounding the ObamaCare launch. Hagan, who is up for reelection in 2014, is asking her Senate colleagues to co-sign a letter asking two agencies to conduct “a complete, thorough investigation to determine the causes of the design and implementation failures of HealthCare.Gov.” “These problems are simply unacceptable, and Americans deserve answers and swift solutions,” Hagan writes in a letter obtained by The Hill. “Taxpayers are owed a full and transparent accounting of how the vendors contracted to build the site failed to launch it

Shouldn´t they follow the money ? Or is the blatant waste of tax dollars ok as long as the web site works ?

Senator, are you on Ocare ? How about your staff ?

A big investigation is not needed to determine the source of the problems. The law was written by a bunch of incompetent democrat boobs in congress and implemented by a bunch of incompetent boobs in the administration. No need to spend a bunch of money for an investigation.

Just remember, every single increase in a premium, co-pay, out-of-pocket expense from your employers plan is also a result of Democrats voting for Obamacare.

The plans have been charging for the last 3 years not just today.

CYA theater for the low-fo´s who voted them into office in the first place. I´m a little curious about what the percentage is that this will work on, but am afraid and depressed by the likely number.

If you had even an ounce of integrity in your pinky finger, you would have resigned your office in disgrace for foisting this unConstitutional mess on us. Kay Hagan, I can save you a lot of investigating...

You signed off on a 2700 page Utopian fantasy about a problem that did not need a solution. That Utopian fantasy generated around 1200,000 pages of regulations, created by federal bureaucrats. There is no one alive that can possibly create a workable web site to make this Utopian fantasy available to the general public. It is an impossible task.

She is one of three red state Democrat facing reelection in 2014 who support a bill that would allow people to keep their existing health insurance plans under ObamaCare.

People can´t "keep their existing health insurance" if the insurance companyt complies with O´Care. And if the company does comply, the "existing health insurance" goes away.

OPEN LETTER TO KAY HAGAN: Senator, so long as Obamacare is operative and mandates that insurance companies comply with Obamacare, those companies CANNOT stay in business and therefore cannot allow people to keep their insurance.

She shouldn´t be worrying about why the O´Care rollout was a bust. She shouldn´t be worrying about where the money went. She should be asking for a probe of how the bill got passed -- through outright lies to the American people. She should be worried that it was designed to fail. She´s acting as though the failure wasn´t planned.

Kay Hagan is our accidental senator. She wasn´t in the two three choices to run against Elizabeth Dole in 2008, but when Dole imploded and the Obama tsunami overwhelmed the state, Kay got elected.

Instead of being grateful to the voters of North Carolina for their lack of judgment, she believes she owes her seat to Harry Reid and Chucky Schumer. She does whatever they tell her to do.

She has a voting record that rivals Bernie Sanders--she is a socialist, plain and simple. She voted for card check, Obamacare, carbon tax, etc.

But all of the sudden (with 2014 facing her) she now wants to be ´moderate´ and calls for an investigation of Obamacare? Kay, you voted for it. You own it.

Any investigation called for at this stage by Democrats will be designed to cover he Democrats political butts in the 2014 election and as a stage where the Democrats can fraudulently blame the Republicans.

One thing they should do is take whatever legal action is necessary to get the taxpayer´s money back from that clearly incompetent affirmative action/crony capitalist company from Quebec that the Obama crew gave a sole source contract to design and install the Obama Care website that has never worked.

The day you and your fellow democrats decided to vote for a bill you hadn´t even bothered to read is the day you lost ALL credibility. By that action alone you proved your concern for the American people or more accurately, your unconcern. You allowed politics to influence your vote. No thinking person could vote for a bill they didn´t even bother to read. You and your fellow democrats own this and every negative consequence its implementation causes. Attempting to find your moral compass now is laughable. It is clearly politically motivated just like that vote of yours. A person of character should be ashamed to be caught in such blatant hypocrisy. The lot of you should resign. I suggest you first , Ms. Hagan.

These math wizards can´t seem to understand that if people could possibly keep their existing plans under obamacare, then obamacare can not possibly function. The government needs to rob EVERYBODY to pay for all the new parasites in the system.

Also, how could a company that employs both friends of Michelle Obama and relatives of Valerie Jarrett possibly be competent?

WASHINGTON — Stepping into a heated debate within the nation’s intelligence agencies, President Obama has decided that when the National Security Agency discovers major flaws in Internet security, it should — in most circumstances — reveal them to assure that they will be fixed, rather than keep mum so that the flaws can be used in espionage or cyberattacks, senior administration officials said Saturday. When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,

FORT WORTH — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis will undergo neck surgery today, her campaign said Tuesday. “After experiencing shoulder and right arm pain in recent weeks, Sen. Davis will have a routine surgical procedure to remove bone spurs and degenerative discs that are creating compression on the nerves in her neck,” campaign spokesman Zac Petkanas said in a statement Tuesday. “This is a common issue experienced by runners and endurance athletes,” he said. Davis, of Fort Worth, will undergo the outpatient surgery at the Fort Worth Brain and Spine Institute. Dr. Thomas Ellis will perform the

The cash infusion by the federal government is actually going to help the city pay pensions, even though they´re playing a kind of shell game with the money. As for "blight removal," perhaps they could start with city hall. Reuters: Michigan officials and President Barack Obama´s Administration are discussing a plan to free up $100 million in federal money to aid Detroit´s retired city workers, the Detroit Free Press reported on Tuesday. Citing two people familiar with the talks, the newspaper said the talks were centered around federal money flowing to Michigan for blight removal. Under the plan, $100 million

Climate change’s latest casualty appears to be fish — or more specifically, fish brains — as researchers say the carbon dioxide that’s being absorbed into the ocean is causing the scaly creatures to lose their survival instincts. In other words, the fish are losing their minds, The Daily Mail reported. The acid from atmospheric carbon dioxide seeps into sea waters, dissolves and ultimately lowers the pH balance, researchers said. The acidic waters then hamper the fishes’ sensory systems, so they’re not able to distinguish between smells any longer, the scientists went on. When the acid levels get really high, the fish lose their
