The Truth about Navigators
National Review Online, by John Fund

Original Article

James O’Keefe, the guerrilla videographer who helped bring down ACORN (the “community organizing” group that Barack Obama worked for as a lawyer and trainer) and got NPR’s president fired, is back. This time, his undercover investigators focused on Obamacare’s “navigators,” the nearly 50,000 people who, in the words of the Department of Health and Human Services, “will serve as an in-person resource for Americans who want additional assistance in shopping for and enrolling in plans” on the Obamacare exchanges (at least when they’re finally working). The total value of grants doled out for nonprofits and community organizations to hire navigators

# 3 A tested, licensed, finger printed, insured experienced insurance agent is not allowed to be a navigator.

In all of their greed, insurance companies thinking of all of the online enrollments, screwed over insurance agents who helped individuals and small groups, putting them out of work. For a self employed person, agents earned zero dollars, for small groups, it was reduced to $1.50 per subscriber even if the group was paying $3000 a month for two people.

In this area, it was no surprise who got millions in grant money to act as navigators.
When navigators came to the forefront, the ACA decided that union members, community organizers, and health professionals could be navigators. They earn between $20-$48 an hour or more with 20 hours training.

The author acts as if corruption is a byproduct of Obamacare, but in reality, it is the point.

People should not be confused and think that, because the behavior has been exposed it has stopped. It has not stopped, any more than the IRS has started treating applicants for tax-exempt status fairly.

Just how much of this BS is the American Taxpayer expected to take?

WHEN is one, just one politician going to stand up on the steps of the Capitol and put his foot down, decry this madness, and say enough?

I´m sick and tired of the lies, stealing from tax payers, spreading the wealth, ponsi schemes, and I´m sick and tired of those who we send to DC, do nothing, say nothing out of fear of being labeled a racist.

This has got to stop NOW.

Funny thing is...there were Democrats (aka LEFTISTS) in 2008/09 who voted for Obamacare but were actually against it. They wanted a single-payer system. . .there are plenty of video clips out there showing Obama stating that he eventually wants to get to single-payer (completely gov´t run) system and that he knows he has to do it in stages. This is one of the stages . . .Obamacare was NEVER intended to work. It wasn´t suppose to create affordable exchanges or reduce premiums, it was suppose to do exactly what it´s doing, which is break the private system of health care that we have enjoyed in this country (warts and all). We´ll see if the American people get outraged enough to stop it all before it´s too late. I´m cautiously optimist that they will...but the sheeple never cease to amaze me.

Security Blankets for the Insecure. Pacifiers for the Needy. Doesn’t everybody once in a while wanna be a kid again? Of course, they do!

Today Navigators. Tomorrow Bombardiers.

My instinct is to examine the psychological makeup of individuals involved in certain political or ideological groups.

The woman in the video stills is around 60 years of age i.e. ´old enough to know better.´

Despite her unthreatening appearance, she is a living, breathing example of a culture that condones, even encourages, fraud. Truthful answers to questions meant to determine eligibility are petty obstacles to maneuver around. The ends justify the means and you can be certain that any cognitive dissonance is batted away by the conviction that Uncle Sam´s cash is there for the taking with a bit of cursory paperwork.

Unbroken decades spent facilitating or participating in the welfare state with a mentality to match. And lurking somewhere close to the surface is the belief that the goodies are theirs by right and that to take them is an indirect way of sticking it to the man.

Navigators were created to, once again, help people game the system just like ACORN does. These workers see nothing they are doing is wrong because they are "helping"people to government money. You know that Washington DC money that is endless and plentiful. Doubt these folks ever take a moment to wonder where this money comes from. Obama´s minions never go away. They just morph into another government program that provides them with a job giving away other people´s money. Crony political corruption-ism.

To date it looks like all Obama has managed to do is to sabotage a huge number of people´s health care insurance and to redistribute a lot of money that the government took from the ever decreasing percentage of Americans who actually do pay taxes to a bunch of corrupt so-called community organizing groups that are politically allied to the liberal Democrats.

If the wimpy Republicans are afraid to clearly and forcefully point that out to the American people for fear of the liberal Democrats fraudulently calling them out as racists, they will loose the 2014 election.

Watched this video and it´s chilling, mostly because it´s just the tip of the iceberg. Thanks to O´Keefe for this telling piece of video, and to John Fund. What would we do without these ´truth-seekers´? Never thought this kind of corruption in America (from the very top) would be so rampant and unchecked.

More of the truth about all of Obama´s and the Democrats´ corruption needs to be exposed. Otherwise, the next step may be billboard-size pictures of our dear leader´s face in and on all public buildings, squares and parks. Things seem to be headed in that direction, and it´s truly frightening.

It´s as if Obama is the ´bulldozer´ and nothing seems to be working to slow down the destruction. My thanks to all these courageous people who are willing to stand up against it and get to the bottom of all that is happening.

Navigators the Acorn substitute are well paid Obama political operatives to encourage fraud of the healthcare system by the takers. Meanwhile the producers will have an extra 16000 IRS agents targeting them to make sure they pay every penny of taxes and penalties they owe. We must all do our fair share don´t you know! Their other assignment is to turn Texas into a reliably RAT state. When Obama is finished there will be nothing left to steal and the takers will still not be satisfied that they have enough given to them. Obama´s beneficiaries will destroy their own golden goose and end up worse off in the end. Wake Up!

While he has diverted attention with a phony website story he has had his flying monkeys signing up freeloaders. I have been screaming for a month now to investigate Enroll America. James did.

I still maintain that once these people receive benefits after Jan 1, the entitlement will have been created. After that point all Congress will do is make Obamacare more workable. Romney supporters will be delighted to know that he is already on board to tweaking the law.

The President is a crook and a liar. The congress is made up of crooks and liars. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court intentionally misunderstands the Constitution because he wants to kiss the President´s butt. The only thing keeping this abomination of a Government afloat is the cowardice of our military. The Generals and Admirals sit in their plush offices in the Pentagon and ignore their oaths to protect the constitution from domestic enemies. I am ready to take to the streets. We just need a leader who loves the Constitution to step forward and energize the great mass of Americans. In the meantime, I will fight this Government at every turn. It´s time to choose.

This administration does not have an original idea of its own. It has lifted the name Navigator from the Christian discipleship organization in Colorado Springs that helps people grow in the knowledge of the Lord. The name is copyrighted...has been for years but it doesn´t stop the thief who comes to steal and destroy a good name. Shame on them all. I will always associate the name Navigator with my first set of memory Bible verses.

The Social Security Administration announced Monday that it will immediately cease efforts to collect on taxpayers’ debts to the government that are more than 10 years old. The action comes after The Washington Post reported that the government was seizing state and federal tax refunds that were on their way to about 400,000 Americans who had relatives who owed money to Social Security. In many cases, the people whose refunds were intercepted had never heard of any debt, and the debts dated as far back as the middle of the past century. “I have directed an immediate halt to further

Democrats have had a recurring problem in special elections this year: Their voters aren’t turning out. If a weak economy and continued Obamacare problems persist, the November elections could be a disaster for Democrats. Last week, Democrats lost two special elections they weren’t planning to. Arlington, Va., is a classic wealthy ObamaTown, filled with government workers and limousine liberals. Mitt Romney won only 29 percent of the vote in 2012. But last Tuesday, Democrats lost their first election for the five-member Arlington County Board in 15 years when John Vihstadt, a Republican running as an independent, won a vacancy on

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little as federal agents seized and then released cattle last week from the Bundy ranch, but there is little doubt that the highly charged episode was threatening to become a political headache for the Nevada Democrat. On the defensive about their prospects in the midterm elections this fall, congressional Democrats have spent all of April savaging the Republican budget proposal, decrying the Koch brothers and championing a series of bills meant to ingratiate themselves to struggling middle-class voters. A month later, Clinton was in China, where she jubilantly announced that the aerospace giant would be writing a generous check to help resuscitate floundering U.S. efforts to host a pavilion at the upcoming World’s Fair. Boeing, she said, “has just agreed to double its contribution to $2 million.” Clinton did not point out that, to secure the donation, the State Department

Overland Park city spokesman Sean Reilly says two people died at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City campus and one was killed at Village Shalom, which is a retirement community that is several blocks away from the center. Overland Park Fire Department spokesman Jason Rhodes said Sunday afternoon that one person of interest is in custody. The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City in Overland Park

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin blasted President Barack Obama for nominating as his new Health and Human Services Secretary the same woman who ordered the shutdown of the war memorials during the so-called government shutdown last year. After accepting Kathleen Sebelius´ resignation Friday, Obama nominated Sylvia Burwell, the former Office of Management and Budget director. This is the same person who sent the email initiating the barricading of the memorials, even as veterans were arriving in D.C. on their "honor flights" to see the memorials that they built. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. Legislatures are in a far better position than judges to assess the

The Obama administration said Friday that it would block Iran’s nominee as ambassador to the United Nations from entering the United States, setting up a new confrontation with Tehran just as relations with the Islamic republic appeared to be improving. The decision to bar entry to the diplomat, who was allegedly involved in the 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, followed intense political pressure on the administration from Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill. But it also marked a rare instance in which Washington has effectively vetoed another country’s preferred choice as envoy to the United Nations. Iran

Distressed homeowners seeking

Struggling homeowners across the country could face significant new tax bills if they receive mortgage relief from their banks, a prospect that threatens to slow the housing recovery and put further strain on distressed borrowers. The collapse of the housing market and plunging home prices left millions of people stuck owing more on their mortgages than their homes were worth. Some have worked with their banks to reduce the loan amount to avoid foreclosure or enable a sale. In 2007, Congress adopted a law that spared those homeowners from being taxed on the amount of the loan that was forgiven. But

On Thursday, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius resigned her position. The New York Times reported the resignation as a punishment for failure: Officials said Ms. Sebelius, 65, made the decision to resign and was not forced out. But the frustration at the White House over her performance had become increasingly clear, as administration aides worried that the crippling problems at HealthCare.gov, the website set up to enroll Americans in insurance exchanges, would result in lasting damage to the president’s legacy. So Sebelius stuck around just long enough to reach the mythical 7 million enrollment number

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Chelsea Clinton says when people ask her these days whether she wants to go into politics, her answer isn’t an automatic “no.” The 34-year-old former first daughter told Fast Company in an interview published Monday, “for so long the answer was just a visceral no. Not because I had made any conscientious, deliberate decision, but since people had been asking for as long as literally I could remember, it was no." Now, the only child of former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton explains, "I live in a city and a state and a country where I

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Megyn Kelly’s "Kelly File" is a great news show. She’s incisive, informed and customarily handles the toughest guest with aplomb. But her lengthy interview of Facebook C.O.O. Sheryl Sandberg about her second book in the Lean In series Lean In: For Graduates was a head shaker. Amazing that she of all people allowed Sandberg to restring the same old, same old, shamed, and shopworn feminist myths about women and girls and then jangle it in front of her viewing audience like something new out of the box. Indeed Kelly all but genuflected in front of this woman. Kept her on thru

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

President Obama pulled a surprise move Monday at the White House’s Easter Prayer Breakfast when he selected Gene Robinson to lead the closing prayer. Talking Points Memo’s Tom Kludt spotted the following tweet from Robinson, who was in attendance: (Tweet) Robinson, 66, became diocesan bishop of New Hampshire in March 2004. He retired in January 2013 and is currently a senior fellow at the progressive
