No love for NY Times op-ed
writer whose insurance was cancelled

Perhaps the most entertaining facet of watching the scales fall from liberal´s eyes about Obamacare is the absolute shock they experience when their liberal friends chastise them for complaining. Lori Gottlieb, a contributing editor for The Atlantic and a psychotherapist, writes in the NY Times about her conversation with Blue Anthem insurance and the reaction by her "friends" on Facebook when she posted about it: THE Anthem Blue Cross representative who answered my call told me that there was a silver lining in the cancellation of my individual P.P.O. policy and the $5,400 annual increase that I would have to

It will work out. Lorri does not yet understand the wisdom of social engineering.

When the middle class is made poor they will feel rich because everything will be free.

And the rich will then feel poor because they will have to pay for everything they receive.

#2 Even Lori will come to a full understanding after she no longer needs birth control pills, and there´s no undoing gender reassignment surgery ~ which usually isn´t all that successful so she won´t be able to use her subsidies on condoms!

Why should she continue to be forced to pay premiums for these things that don´t apply to her ~

~ outside of our big horselaugh at her stupidity, what´s in that for anyone.

Maybe we should stop her mistakes now before she wastes all our money.

FTA: "The redistribution of wealth should be celebrated - even if it is murderously ruinous to your family´s financial condition." Libs have no problem with redistribution of wealth as long as it´s the wealth of someone else. They can´t grasp the notion of the equal distribution of poverty when their own wealth is taken from them and given to the lo-fos.

The "liberal" mindset celebrates redistribution, because that is their religion.

Envy is a major part of natural religion: "Take from thy neighbor, especially if he has more than you." And "If there is a God, he must favor redistribution to you from anyone who has more." This is the Communist, Socialist, Progressive creed.

Too many "Jewish" and "Christian" clergy have betrayed the God of the Torah and the New Testament, and have added their voice to the anti-Biblical view of the pagans liberals.

Charitable giving must always be without compulsion, and God requires the giver to monitor the merits and demerits of the recipients, nurturing the godly and requiring the ungodly to show solid evidence of a good faith effort to follow wisdom.

My charitable funds will run out long before I come to the end of my own list of deserving recipients. The state religion would consider my beneficiaries to be bigots, "haters," and "mentally ill" for believing the ideals that God has given, and would send them to "sensitivity training" (re-education camps).

The state religion can go to h*ll! And can take the phony synagogues and churches with them! I look to the faithful remnant to bring genuine reformation to the churches and synagogues!

So you see, Lori, that we on the Right aren´t just a bunch of selfish jerks after all. We knew Obamacare would cost VASTLY more than advertised, though even I didn´t expect a $5400 hit. See, Lori, that´s how it unfailingly works out with social engineering - somebody promises something to somebody else "and it will pay for itself." Never does. Never even comes close. Always runs from ten to a hundred to several thousand times more than presaged, and even as the costs keep on skyrocketing, we get told by the savants that "we just haven´t ´invested´ enough yet." IOW: Whatever it costs now ain´t a drop in the bucket to what it´s GOING to cost down the road.

Think I´m exaggerating, Lori? You´re too young to remember the Sixties when LBJ´s War on Poverty go going, and how we were going to do away with poverty forever, and how in the long run we´d SAVE money. Started out in the few billion range; 50 years later it´s costing us a few trillion a year, Lori. You liberals are always shocked, SHOCKED to find gambling going on in the back rooms, and by the time a handful of you wake up, it´s completely unstoppable because a very large (and voting) constituency has grown up around it - one that not infrequently votes not once, not twice, but several times.

In case you miss the point, Lori, it´s C-O-R-R-U-P-T-I-O-N writ large, and anybody who tries to point this out gets tarred by New York Times op-editors. You may even know a few colleagues who have done the tarring. You may even see one every morning when you look in the mirror. Now you sing a sad song as your, uh, "friends" talking about the Boston Fire Department.

Happy sails, Lori. Reality can be a real b-word.

Things will even out for her, at least: now that Obamacare covers mental health issues, she´ll get patients she wouldn´t have had before, so she´ll have more money to pay for her health insurance.

Oh, wait. Lori might not want to provide her services at the rates Obamacare authorizes.

The is is the credo of the radical communitarians that the US is now being run by. Individual rights, indivdual concerns are "selfish." So get with the program and feel good about your sacrifices.

How about calling them what they are? Communists. They´re not "communitarians". These people are so history-deprived, they don´t even know what a Communist is, let alone how dangerous such "communitarian" thinking is. They think they´re virtuous.

I wonder what they would do if I knocked on their door and said, "I want a third of your paychecks from now on". Would they say, "Sure, I´m okay with that"? Or would they say, Hell no?

The redistribution of wealth is going exactly as Obama planned, while people are scratching their heads wondering how stupid this administration is and wailing when their own oxes get gored. But someone else´s ox is just find. Gore away.

Lori, It´s all about a means to an end. Haven´t your heard you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet? Well, Obama intends to crack a lot of eggs, yours included. This is just the beginning too. Wait until you need a medical procedure that is denied because it is not cost effective. When it´s your life on the line, will you be as supportive of him? Or will you like your fellow travelers be calling in every favor you can? Connections will matter. They always do under a system like this. That is what your brand of equality brings but that will be okay, won´t it? Self-preservation trumps fairness when push comes to shove. Equality to progressives has been and always will be conditional. Hypocrisy is a bedrock of liberal thinking. The well connected will do okay. The rest of us, not so much.

I haven´t yet heard anyone mention the untended consequence of reduced disposable income.

Hundreds of bucks per month taken out of families´ income doesn´t bode well for the economy. One used to be able to buy a new flat-screen or an appliance with that money. Maybe it´s the difference in getting a mortgage or not.

Of course, Justice Roberts could rule that we buy those items anyhow.

As part of Obamacare, a pool for uninsured with preexisting conditions (PCIP) was started. After 3 years the number of people enrolled has grown to 100,000. The point is that no matter how sick, there is a maximum price the market will bear for health care. The people in the program now will continue into Obamacare because they will save some on premiums.

But the millions who lose their existing coverage are going to have to think long and hard about paying so much more for Obamacare. By February of March, something is going to have to give.

I sometimes wonder if any liberal, progressive or what ever they claim to be, has ever read a history book. If the have, they should have noticed that every government that has acted in the way that they want has failed. There has NEVER been a successful socialist government in the recorded history of mankind. And even though GOD has commanded "Thou shall not covet", mankind has and does always covet. And therein lies the problem. There will always be someone that wants what someone else has, and expects it to be given to him for free. Just like the lo-fo´s do.

To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Because the Census Bureau’s surveys are scientific — meaning

New audio reveals an Eastern Connecticut State University professor warning that Republicans will “want things to go back — not to to 1955, but to 1855? if they win control of Congress in November. Republican victories could also put him out of a job, he cautioned. “We will live in a very, very, very different kind of country if that happens,” Professor Brent Terry told students in his Introduction to Creative Writing course, according to audio obtained by Campus Reform. “I mean, colleges will start closing up if these people have their way.” Over the course of his rant, Terry characterized conservatives

As he moves from lobbyists to the golf course, from press conferences to the tanning bed, he remains oblivious to all that is around him. He has power, incredible power, and yet to this day he has no understanding of the election that made it so. Moreover, all around him are astonishing opportunities for him to be an historic figure -- one who could and should be the man who did more than any other single person in turning back the red tide of Obama. It’s all there for Speaker of the House, and yet John Boehner manages to miss

The Citizens Commission on Benghazi, a self-selected group of former top military officers, CIA insiders and think-tankers, declared Tuesday in Washington that a seven-month review of the deadly 2012 terrorist attack has determined that it could have been prevented – if the U.S. hadn´t been helping to arm al-Qaeda militias throughout Libya a year earlier. ´The United States switched sides in the war on terror with what we did in Libya, knowingly facilitating the provision of weapons to known al-Qaeda militias and figures,´ Clare Lopez, a member of the commission and a former CIA officer, told MailOnline. She blamed the Obama administration

Global sea levels have risen by 8 inches (20cm) since 1880 and scientists predict they could rise up to 3ft (98cm) by 2100. But despite the UN’s recent threats of war, famine and extreme weather, such a dramatically different world caused by sea level rise can be hard to imagine. To help picture the future, Martin Vargic, an amateur graphic designer from Slovakia, has created a map depicting the planet with sea levels around 260ft (79m) higher than they are today. He imagines what Earth would look like if the ice sheets surrounding the North and South poles melted, releasing

It may not be tomorrow, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) says "something will happen" to force a Nevada rancher to obey a court order to stop grazing his cattle on federal land and pay his grazing fees. "It´s obvious that you can´t just walk away from this," Reid said in an April 18 interview with a Nevada´s KSNV-TV News 3 program “What’s Your Point?” "You can´t have a law that is -- we´re a nation of laws, not of men and women," he said. (Video) Reid noted that most cattlemen pay their taxes, pay their fees, and follow

Thirty-eight Republican lawmakers, including such unlikely bedfellows as John McCain of Arizona and Ted Cruz of Texas, have joined to support a lawsuit challenging the legality of the Affordable Care Act and accusing the president of repeatedly ignoring the law he signed for political reasons. The lawmakers have signed onto a legal brief in support of a lawsuit filed by Sen. Ron Johnson, the Wisconsin Republican who is asking a federal court to overturn Obamacare’s special treatment for members of Congress and their staffs. “The unlawful executive action at issue in this case is not an isolated incident,” the brief

Perhaps the most remarkable feature of American democracy is the magnificent estate of public land that it reserved from the very beginning for the use of all citizens, rich or poor. There is nothing like it in the democracies of Europe, which came into being with nations already carved up into private fiefdoms. The Great Idea that hundreds of millions of acres of forests, deserts, rivers and prairies should be owned by, and managed for, the public interest has had a profound and lasting influence on American culture. But not everyone has accepted it. Cliven Bundy’s armed standoff with the National Park
