Tom Cruise: My work as an actor is
as hard as fighting in Afghanistan

Fox News, by Staff

Tom Cruise has never been shy about expressing his beliefs, and in a recent deposition, the actor said he believed acting was as hard as fighting a war. Cruise sat with lawyers to be deposed for his case against Bauer Publishing for stories two of its publications printed following his divorce from Katie Holmes, articles that stated he had "abandoned" his daughter Suri. During the deposition, a lawyer questioned Cruise about remarks his camp had made equating his work and inability to see daughter Suri to fighting in Afghanistan. "That´s what it feels like. And certainly on this last movie, it was brutal.

This is probably one of the most insulting statements I have ever heard from an entertainment idiot. How many bodyparts have you lost Tommy, making your movies? How many foxholes did you have to huddle in while live ammo or IED´s were flying all around you?

You owe the nation´s military a huge apology.

How many kazillions of dollars does this truncated, closet-dwelling scientologist make while he suffers thru the ordeal of making a crappy movie? Maybe he´d like to share with the real soldiers who are giving up their family lives to defend his right to be a total anal canal. G-d I´ve always detested Tom Cruise for some vague reason and now I have a real one.

He equates making a make-believe movie with stunt doubles and being paid millions with what our military faces fighting in Afghanistan. He would mess his pants and cry if he had to face what our soldiers face, what a dirtbag Cruise is.

I joined the Army during the Korean War, and spent 30 years in the Army, and two tours of duty in Vietnam and I know what is hard work and lack of the nice things and the convenience of home. For this Hollywood airhead to say his acting is as hard as fighting in Afghanistan he is full of it.
I believe scientology scrambled his brain far worse than I thought.

The size challenged couch jumper thinks just because he´s managed to learn a few moves for his on-camera stunts (after they have been painstaking choreographed by masters) he certainly does not endure any hardships (other than getting to some of the remote locations) during production and he can (and has) walk away anytime - but after all we are talking about someone who believes in Xenu so the overlap area of "shared reality" with the rest of us is miniscule anyway

And He thinks he can portray Jack Reacher?
Reacher is 6´5" tall (1.96 m) with a 50-inch chest, and weighing between 220 and 250 pounds

A new report reveals if Congress does not act to overhaul the country’s immigration system, the future could be bleak for businesses who depend on lower-skilled workers. The study, which was released during a Capitol Hill meeting co-hosted by the Partnership for a New American Economy, a bipartisan group of mayors and business leaders, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, finds that while there is still a strong demand for low-skilled workers, the number of Americans willing to fill those low-skill jobs has dwindled dramatically during the last two decades. Some conservatives are up in arms over a hurried Thursday vote on the so-called “doc fix” for Medicare, which they felt leadership tried to slip by them. The bill passed in a 30-second voice vote with very few members on the House floor. The “doc fix” is a temporary patch to prevent a 24 percent cut to the amount of money the government pays doctors who take care of Medicare patients. The cut will take effect on April 1 if Congress does not move to prevent it. Owing to the tight deadline, leadership opted to bring the bill straight to the floor “under

The United Nations´ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change will shortly publish the second part of its latest report, on the likely impact of climate change. Government representatives are meeting with scientists in Japan to sex up—sorry, rewrite—a summary of the scientists´ accounts of storms, droughts and diseases to come. But the actual report, known as AR5-WGII, is less frightening than its predecessor seven years ago. The 2007 report was riddled with errors about Himalayan glaciers, the Amazon rain forest, African agriculture, water shortages and other matters, all of which erred in the direction of alarm. You may have noticed that our friends on the left have begun to refer to the Koch brothers and other rich conservatives as "oligarchs." Like calling evangelicals "jihadists" and the tea party "racist," this comparison to the billionaires in Vladimir Putin´s circle is meant to stigmatize and marginalize these men politically and socially. This latest Saul Alinsky tactic got us thinking about who really qualifies as an American oligarch. If the definition is someone who becomes rich by association with government power and policies, and then assists those in power, the Kochs would barely make the list. Their companies are usually

When Jorge Mario Bergoglio became Pope Francis a little more than a year ago, the first thing that struck those who knew him well was his unexpected, beatific smile. “In Argentina, he didn’t smile like that,” Sergio Rubin, the pope’s biographer, said this week at a conference sponsored by the Ethics and Public Policy Center. “That was the big surprise.” Since then, the pope has mostly kept on smiling — in homilies, in audiences, in meetings with the homeless and the poor. If you look at the pictures from Francis’ meeting with President Obama on Thursday, though, the smile is there only some of the time.
