President Barack Obama heard an earful at the White House Wednesday from Senate Democrats running for re-election next year who are fuming about the Affordable Care Act’s rocky rollout.During a two-hour meeting that was not on the president’s public schedule, the president met with 15 Senate Democrats facing the voters next year, as well as Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chairman Michael Bennet, D-Colo. Sen. Mark Begich of Alaska issued a release after the meeting torching the administration. “It is simply unacceptable for Alaskans to bear the brunt of the Administration’s mismanagement of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and

More kabuki theater? The dems swept this last election (and yes, I´m including christie in that). This country lost its way, I think forever, in the 2012 election. The republicans are incapable of offering an alternative to the lunatics in the dem party, they have decided to emulate them. And why not? They get all the goodies while remaining gutless cowards.

Excuse me a moment while I attempt to repair my I Don´t Give A Darn meter. What a bunch of whining hypocrites. This is YOUR baby. It was YOUR responsibility to read and understand the law you were so eager to push down our throats. It was YOUR responsibility to make sure the rollout was successful. You couldn´t pick up the phone and check on it, the most comprehensive piece of legislation in the history of this country? Please. You may fool your constituents but you fool no thinking person. The ONLY concern is for your own sorry policital career. If you were concerned about the people you represent you would have done your due diligence and at the very least READ the bill. Actions have consequences and you are about to experience that in spades first hand.

What´s most despicable is that the only Leftists rising up to protest the abhorrent treatment of citizens are the ones who are UP FOR REELECTION. Translation: When it´s in our own self interest, we might do something.

Most appalling was Harkin´s comment that it´s a matter of civic responsibility for old people to pay maternity fees.

Where does that train stop with that excuse?

Tis a pity the senators, both democrats AND republicans in Washington, are not as intense about protecting the general welfare of America as they are in their own reelections.

Truly, the chambers of congress in Washington, which are filled with empty suits, can be compared to carbuncles filled with pus.

The website is the tip of the iceberg. If it ever becomes fully functional you will be hearing the outraged roar from every corner of the country. Even the new Medicaid enrollees who will now get their healthcare courtesy of the taxpayers will find themselves searching for a doctor who will see them - even hundreds of miles from home. This ain´t over.

As bad as the Obamacare debacle has been and will be for the Democrats, and for the country, it will indeed get worse. Just as the Democrats are headed for a crushing defeat, the cavalry is about to rush in at the very last minute and save them. Who am I talking about? Hillary? No. The Republicans.

The Republicans have been mesmerized and wined and dined by the crony capitalist lobby to swoop in and be ready to give the Democrats a permanent, unbeatable majority by granting amnesty (and unquestioned voting rights) to about 30,000,000 new voters. Breathtakingly stupid doesn´t begin to describe the Stupid Party.

Was Kay Hagan (NC, D) there? Because she sure won´t show her face ANYWHERE in NC. In the runup to the Obamacare cram down, Hagan held no town halls, and made very few public appearances. She shows up at union shops, teachers meetings, but that´s about it. But she still has time for her Lord and Savior, Barack Hussein.

Phony theatrics and typical politician´s CYA.

This is the Democrats´ bill - lock, stock and barrel.

THEY didn´t read it; THEY voted for it; THEY defended it it... all the way up to the point where the TRUTH about this Socialist monstrosity started to affect their re-election and suddenly now all the faux indignation.

The only saving grace for the Democrats is that Republicans are equally despicable.

I cannot recall a single moment where the Republicans made any effort to support Obamacare. Not a single republican voted for it, and the House have passed dozens of votes to repeal it (none of which was allowed to proceed in the Senate by Reid of course).

I´m not sure what those with withering criticism of the republicans want them to do that they haven´t done. The talk of amnesty for illegals by republicans certainly deserves withering criticism, but my $0.02 is that its not deserved when it comes to the GOP re: Obamacare.

This article tells me that those Democrats are ONLY concerned about extending the time allowed to citizens to sign up without penalty. There seems also to be some concern about security problems.

But not a word about the millions who lost their insurance and their doctors. Not a word about the very idea of stealing health care from people who were perfectly happy with their plans.

And therein lies the problem: For Democrats, it´s okay to implement Obamacare for everyone in the country, like it or not. But for Republicans, it´s not okay to steal the health care plans and doctor-patient relationships from people who were happy with what they had.

What is wrong with just implementing O´Care for people who want it and leaving the rest of us alone?

Knowing what we do about Obama´s Nazi jack boot approach to leadership, he probably told them in his own way to suck it up and get into lockstep-everything gonna be ok with their elections and stuff like that. Obama-he say they got a secret weapon-gonna send out fake reinstatement notices a few days before 2014 elections(lol).

The administration has little private emergency meetings like this, when the walls are closing in- ie the private meeting with the press when his buffet of scandals were beginning to froth over. Many would love to hear what is said-better than any soap opera.

One has to wonder if the Obama admin would keep the ACA website dysfunctional though the 2014 elections, knowing what is to come once it does work, would do more damage to democrats than just a broken site.

The RINOs and the RNC will help keep you in power, it´s what they do.
McCain and his ilk will campaign for you and with the voter fraud in place there´s nothing to worry about.
You just have the ´gitters´ but it will pass because Republicans have a knack for snapping defeat from the jaws of victory. They didn´t even protest and make statements about the Obamacare monstrosity when they had the chance.
You communist democrats will win the WH when they roll out the Pufferfish Meatloaf Chris Christie in 2016. Not to worry! Be happy.

If any of the Republicans running against these demoncrats next year runs on anything other than 0bamacare, they are fools. This should be the only issue and the only subject for all of their ads. Every ad should begin with video of zippy´s most notorious lie and then proceed to hammer the incumbent who voted for the bill. Cram 0bamacare back down their throats like they crammed it down ours. The 2014 elections should be about nothing else. If our guys do this, the "shellacking" zippy took in 2010 will look like a garden party in comparison.

Get smart, Republicans!

Waste of time Americans.

With the Marxist democrats winning in VA by the votes of upper middle class voters in northern Va as DC suburbs with average incomes of $200,000 annually

They mostly work for government or are lobbyists for those who want something from government.

The party of the working man is the party of the wealthy.

Talk about a sucker being born every minute. Those suckers are those who believe they love the lower class workers and takers.

Someday the taxpayers will revolt if they have a brain. Just don´t hold your breath while waiting as most who do not follow the Marxist democrats do not have the guts to fight back against tyranny by the Marxist democrats.

There are many good posts today on the plight of the dims and what pubies simply won´t do. It´s as if the pubies run their campaigns as if it was 50yrs in the past. They don´t seem to realize that the dim party of today is NOT the dim party of yesteryear. Even JFK wouldn´t be allowed in today´s dim party. Today, all they are are communists. Plain and simple.

And I´ve come to think that a number of LCom posters would make great campaign managers for those who will be running to upseat the dims next year. At the least, they have great ideas about what should be campaign issues and what doesn´t work. Telling the public truth just might work for a change.

If the Republicans were more then the Stupid Party they would be educating the American public at every turn that the Obama Care fiasco is the Democrat´s baby, lock, stock, and barrel and that it was the Democrats on a party line vote who created Obama Care and by extension its sad aftermath, with not one Republican voting for it.

It is being pointed out now that 119 million Americans with employer based health care insurance could well loose their health care insurance during 2014 because of Obama Care federal regulations that will cause the insurance companies to cancel their plans.

If that were to happen the Democrats would be wiped out in the November 2014 election. So what are a lot of the Republicans doing about that, they are calling for the Obama Care provisions to be postponed until after the 2014 election thus throwing the Democrats a political lifeline that will keep the Democrats from having to answer for the Obama Care fiasco in the 2014 election. You can´t beat that for being stupid.

They told us that they had to pass it sto save the economy. They told us that it´s mear passage would stimulate the economy and cause 400,000 people to be hired immediatly. They told us that our healthcare costs would go down $2500.00 annually.

After his health-care law surpassed the low-ball enrollment target of 7 million, President Obama staged a Rose Garden rally and zinged doubters: “Armageddon has not arrived.” At least he did not declare: “Mission Accomplished.”The country is years from knowing whether Obama’s overhaul of the health-care system fulfills the promise of delivering universal coverage. While large numbers of Americans have found the program very advantageous, including people who were formerly uninsured, many others have been forced to change plans or change doctors — contrary to Obama’s repeated promises.Obama tacitly admits the unintended consequences every time he waives a deadline or mandate in

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

The author of the Twilight of Abundance, David Archibald, sent an email a few days ago, saying “there is a whole new world coming.” Archibald, who’s an Australian, warns in his book that the world is running out of food, energy and security. Where he differs from Malthus, however, is in arguing that the shortages are the consequence of policy, rather than the inherent limitations of the universe. The world is doing everything it can to run in the opposite direction of abundance because we think we have too much. The West dreads warmer weather, even though warmer weather might

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. The bushy-tailed visitor

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal
