Barack Obama’s Multiplying Deceptions
Commentary Magazine, by Peter Wehner

Original Article

It was, I think, the most brazenly mendacious claim an American president has told since Bill Clinton’s finger-wagging insistence that “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.” I have in mind Barack Obama’s statement, made earlier this week, in which he said this: “Now, if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, what we said was you can keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law passed.” (Emphasis added.) That is not, in fact, what the president said. Not by a country

The latest bag of tricks spin is people were stupid to believe that all of Obama´s promises could be kept. These things were inert Obama´s goals, not to be taken at face value.People should have known it was impossible to lower a family´s cost by $2500 a year or they could always keep their own doctor..

The entire plan was always NOT POSSIBLE.

Here it is plain and simple, insurance 101:

If you are a company selling Fire Insurance, can you sell policies to people with pre-existing conditions and remain financially viable ? Of course not.

Just imagine the phone calls...."help, my house is on fire, I need some insurance...."

How about Life Insurance......"uh.....Daddy just died....uh we want to buy a million dollar policy....uh...no, my sister says make it ten million..wait...how much can we get"

The only way to do that is for the million dollar policy to cost at least a million.

Health insurance is the same way...the insurers either have to get out of the business or raise the rates to exorbitant levels.

So..."the average family will save up to $ 2,500 a year" was a bigger lie than the other one. All lies, all the time, and NO Republican support...not even McCain.

Why are people so upset by this lie? Virtually every response Obama has had to scandel has been to lie whether it be the IRS, Benghazi, NSA, reverend Wright, Bill Ayers, his mother, his father........even small things. Why would we expect the truth on AHC?

But now you can add to the mix the shattering of Mr. Obama’s credibility; the belief among a growing number of his fellow citizens that he cannot be trusted, that he will corrupt words in order to advance his ways.

This realization that he is not trustworthy is long overdue. That should have been obvious back at TARP and "shovel-ready jobs". Maybe before he was elected when he said he wanted to redistribute wealth, but better late than never.

So now, in order to try regaining some semblance of credibility, he´s going on a trip around the country promoting O´Care to young people. Sweet.

What will he do,though, considering that chaos is necessary to Alinskyism? He will try to distract Americans from the debacle of O´Care by proposing any of the following?:

- starting a war or entering into an existing one
- gun confiscation
- private property confiscation
- an across-the-board tax increase on everyone (in addition to O´Care´s tax increase
- a "citizen army"
- energy-use monitoring of private residences
- socializing power companies

I was heartened to see the secession effort of six Colorado counties in Nov. 4th´s election succeed. Let that be the start of something that will sweep America from sea to shining sea and get us out from under this massive people-devouring government.

Obama´s promises, like the man himself, are nothing but mirages. They are exactly like those shimmering, dancing images you see as you drive the long, lonely highways across the deserts of the western states. They appear, hauntingly, above the scorching road for a few seconds, only to vanish instantly as you near them.

We, who have traveled these roads, have learned to marvel at the detail and realism of these fleeting optical illusions and then forget them as quickly as they appeared, knowing they were nothing but meaningless refractions caused by a lot of hot air.

The people have lost confidence in their government. Now what? Will we have an orderly transition to a government that the people trust or the institution of a government by repression? Getting us to the former and not the latter will require an extraordinary leader. Ted Cruz may be up to the job.

Serial liars always think they are believable! Who hasn´t had a friend who backs out of every commitment and lies about the reason. It gets to the point that when they say they will do something, you don´t even add them to the count. Each excuse sounds good enough at the time. They think it was a success, but the cumulative effect becomes obvious to the one who receives one lie after another.

The serial liar doesn´t even realize that everyone knows they are a liar. In their view they are a masterful deceiver, but in the end, they are the one who can no longer see the reality.

Obama´s repeated lies since the beginning of his presidency has been astounding to anyone, who has walking around sense, which excludes socialist, and of course, the msm. The msm will have some trouble ignoring, not investigating, distorting this latest debacle but given time they will try. I will make book on it. The NYT´s recent take: the President "misspoke."

#3. People are upset with Obama because his lies have finally hit them personally in the wallet, and that is what grabbed their attention. As we have noted in this fine congenial salon on numerous occasion, the truth is not in Barack Hussein Obama. He is by definition a pathological liar. My heart warms for Ol´ Joe Wilson who spoke the truth and shamed the devil. High five, Joe. We knew you were right all along.

Conservatives believe in the literal truth, eternal verities, founding principles and documents, unchanging moral rules and honesty. The Left believes in a "narrative." Because the narrative must advance state socialism, coyness often is required. This means taking poetic licensewith the literal truth, belief in a flexible Constitution, "evolving" moral standards, and outright dishonesty when necessary, whether the subject is insurance, rising seas, or "that woman."

Against my better judgement, I have remained a member of the AMA in an attempt to change it from within. At the time of the incredible "we support it even though we don´t know what is in it" campaign by the AMA, I questioned why they would do this. I got back a "We know best" response.

Obama isn´t the only one who has suffered significant credibility in all of this lying. Those organizations that shilled for him deserve to share in the "rewards". I have seen no apology from the AMA, and I´m not holding my breath.

No, Mr. Wehner, it is not as you say "It’s all very discouraging."

This is the first time in nearly five years that I have a sense of hopefulness. Word is finally leaking out Barry is (yes, I´ll say it) a liar. He already has a "dunce hat" on for the incompetent roll-out of Obamacare, but he will not ever escape the moniker of liar. He has now compounded the dunce impression, but deliberate lying is a no-no even to liberals.

Ask most people what got them in trouble as a kid, and probably 90% will say lying to their parents.

John Frankenheimer directed an exciting tough guy film in Europe, RONIN, and it´s tough guy star, Robert de Niro, had one line that was even better precisely because the great de Niro spoke the words,
"Whenever in doubt, there is no doubt".

Barry Benghazi has to be a liar, there can be no doubt.
Communist indoctrinated, Barry´s dysfunctional organizing is based on communism which is entirety based on the lying premise that forceful taking from one productive person, like a doctor, will work, giving it to a taking person that doesn´t work.

Add to this false doctrine, Barry´s communist driven gang of "yes men an women", who not only foster his telling of lies, but protect his every lie with silence and denial. Of all this criminal cabal, the worst of all the conspirators is the network and cable TV media that spread these lies unblinkingly Tao masses of millions
Every hour of the day. The Protection Racket of all time

The hard truth is that Obama´s agenda was at least 90% clear as day to anyone paying attention from the 2008 campaign on.
No other president has been elected with literally no actual vetting whatsoever.
Even the most evil previous president, Woodrow Wilson, may have at least meant well for the country, as wrong as he was and as much damage as he did to the nation.
Even that meager credit can´t be rationally applied to president Obama.

Doesn´t matter to the freebie recipients. Or at least it won´t until the dollar fails and the freebies can´t be paid for any longer.(anyone remember the debt and dollar printing going on to pay for all of this?) The 2015 Medicare cuts haven´t even been discussed. Nor have the cuts to Medicaid that will have to come due to the number of ´folks´ signing up for it rather than the paid obamacare policies. Some seriously and expensive to treat patients will just have to be sacrificed. I wonder if they will check with the irs to make sure they are killing off conservatives first ?

#18. Congress isn´t going to do anything because they are exempt from the suffering of Obamacare for themselves and their families. Congress is broken and they aren´t going to fix themselves. Furthermore, Republicans in Congress (most but not all) are content to stay there in either the minority or majority, just as long as they get their salary and perks and power to LORD it over the little people.
Mark Levin´s book explaining how States can take their power back and fix Congress makes the most sense. It is going to be up to the States to fix Congress.

Anyone who bothered to do a little research back in late 2007 and early 2008 has known for almost 6 years that zippy´s entire life has been a lie. It would take a dictionary sized book to list them all.

Sealing his college transcripts has always been the biggest indicator. As much as he loves to take credit from others and boast about himself, if his grades were good we would have known about them from the beginning. And then there´s the foreign student question.

Bottom line - if he´s breathing, he´s lying.

The Republicans would have to be political idiots to believe any promises that Obama makes to them regarding future legislation, because it is evident that he is a man of the extreme left who subscribes to the principle that the end justifies the means when it comes to peddling his progressive political policies and programs. If Obama could he would destroy the Republican Party and remain in the White House indefinitely.

In spite of all that, watch as some Republicans cross the aisle and attempt to bail out Obama and the Democrats before the 2014 election.

If you want to see the real Obama you should read Thomas Sowell´s opinion piece "Phony in Chief" at townhall.com.

Mr. Sowell tells about how in 2007 while running for President Senator Obama gave a speech to a largely black audience in New Orleans after Katrina. He complained to them that they weren´t getting the waiver to the Stafford Act that was given to NY after 9/11 and FL after hurricane Andrew. He said that it was because the federal government didn´t care about blacks.

This was a lie and Senator Obama knew it. He knew it because he had voted against this waiver two weeks earlier and because it had been signed into law. He lied in order to make his audience angry with the government and to trick them into supporting him.

This is the worst kind of lie and the same technique that the worst tyrants use to win political power. Tyrants that murdered millions of their "enemies" and destroyed their countries. How long will it take for Tyrant Obama to take the next step and open up concentration camps for his enemies?

How many of the folks whose insurance is being cancelled voted for 0bama in a second round? Obviously some never paid any attention to the liar while he served his 1st term. Or even his campaign in 2008. My gosh! Now here we are thanks to the uninformed "gimmees". 0bama is what he is and was in his youth. A liar. A commie. Listen.

Even crazier and funnier than the biggest lie and his own latest (daily) excuse are the various recent attempts by his syncophants to "explain what he meant."

I´m thinking of one I heard on Howie Carr´s show that I believe came from Barbara Boxer. She said he meant you could keep your insurance until ObamaCare started. I think that´s my favorite so far.

So...keep up the rhetoric and Obama keeps right on wreaking havoc on America.

#40 said "4, look for a false flag event. Something to take all the oxygen out of the ACA debacle, and give the admin. even more sweeping powers. Suspended elections? 3rd term?"

Yes, I think many do fear that he will finagle a way to have a 3rd term; however, we do have the 22nd Amendment, which should prevent that kind of thing from happening. In order for him to run for a 3rd term there would first have to be a repeal of the 22nd Amendment and a new Amendment ratified by two-thirds of the states. Of course, he could just declare himself president for a third term. He will say it is because he still needs to help get Obamacare up and running. I can hear him saying: "We shouldn´t change horses in midstream".

Let´s see when did we hear that one before? Since the 22nd Amendment was only ratified in 1951, I doubt if the country would be willing to go through that process again so soon.

We are told by many Congress critters that Obamacare would have a difficult time being repealed; therefore, if that is the case, just think how hard it would be to repeal the 22nd Amendment!

Of course, this difficulty does not preclude Obama from declaring himself President for another term. Since the Supreme Court has let him slide on all other laws he has broken, they might let him get by with it. I seriously don´t think that would happen, but right now I won´t put anything past him. Who would ever have thought John Roberts would have ruled the way he did on Obamacare?

WEST, Texas—Block by block, schools, homes and businesses are steadily being pieced back together here, a year after a blast at a fertilizer depot laid waste to much of the town. But the mental wounds suffered by residents are proving much harder to heal. Army veteran Joshua Zarecor was at an apartment complex near the West Fertilizer Co. facility, watching firefighters battle a blaze there last April 17, when the plant suddenly exploded, shattering glass in the complex and causing its walls to collapse. Misty Lambert, 38 years old, who had moved to West several weeks earlier, said she had invited Mr.

On the eve of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, Gen. James Mattis admonished the 1st Marine Division to “[d]emonstrate to the world there is ‘No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy.’” That motto could serve as a guiding principle for sound national security policy. Regrettably, our allies wonder whether the United States is demonstrating the reverse. Since leaving as secretary of homeland security in January 2009, I have talked with officials from friendly nations in Asia and the Middle East. Increasingly, I hear skepticism about whether the United States remains a reliable ally our friends can trust for support against attacks.

His reason for robbing the bank is surprising, though: He was homesick for prison. The 74-year-old high-school dropout and part-time bathtub repairman probably isn´t the first long-term convict to find he prefers being barked at by guards to life on the outside, which has its own demands. But living alone and feeling unhappy, Unbehaun decided to change his situation by committing a crime in order to get caught. On Feb.

Proponents of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) insist that the law will extend health insurance to millions, expand access to health care, and improve Americans’ overall health. But, as the New York Times recently reported, at least 20 percent of the new enrollees have not paid their premiums. They therefore do not really have insurance. But even for those enrollees paying premiums, having health insurance is not the same thing as getting good health care, or any health care. In fact, it doesn’t matter how many Americans obtain insurance under the ACA. Most will have difficulty finding a physician. Many Americans

Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences.
