Democrat Terry McAuliffe projected
to win Va. governor´s race

Fox News, by Staff

Democrat Terry McAuliffe is projected to win the Virginia gubernatorial race, defeating Republican nominee Ken Cuccinelli in a surprisingly close victory. Fox News projected McAuliffe as the winner Tuesday night. The closely watched raced pitted a Tea Party-backed Republican and an establishment Democrat locked in an expensive, ideological battle whose outcome is expected to set a course for the 2014 and 2016 elections -- in large part forcing the GOP to consider whether a strong conservative candidate is the party’s best pick to win a national election. Cuccinelli, trailing late by single digits, tried unsuccessfully to use voter dissatisfaction with ObamaCare to stage

Forgive 2nd post. Yes, #4, I would say that "decent" doesn´t ´t win anymore. If it´s a "decent" movie, the critics trash it. If it´s a school or community that projects "decency" it is criticized as lacking diversity.

I think it was a pretty impressive showing by Cuccinelli all things considered. One is left wondering what would have happened if the RNC had backed him.

So before the storm of condescension rains down on all of us, claiming that the third party cost him the race; please tell us why couldn´t the RNC had sniffed out the phony libertarian candidate?

Simple question, but I doubt anyone will want to answer it.

Had a great post going then Lucianne.com blew away my Apple browser ~

So, a recapitulation:

(1) Too close ~ need to wait until later ~

(2) No 12 pt lead for McAuliffe ~ so much for polls

(3) No 13 pt share for Libertarians ~ again, so much for polls

(4) ObamaKKKare is a real issue. You´ll see McAuliffe running away from the regime on that one as the letters from constituents pile up on his desk and swamp his regime.

(5) Virginia´s two senators already don´t respond on ObamaKKKare complaints ~ guess it´s poison

(6) Good chance McAuliffe gets prosecuted and sent to prison before he gets sworn in if he ends up winning this one. Guy´s a crook. Always been one and there´s no reason he has to reform himself.

In Georgia, if no candidate obtains more than half the vote we have a runoff. Every Republican controlled State needs to implement this immediately to prevent this kind of Democrat nonsense in the future.

It´s not usually vote fraud in Virginia. You have to remember this state was not long ago SOLID DEMOCRAT.

The vote for Lt. Governor has the guy who wouldn´t shake hands with his black opponent pulling in many more votes than McAuliffe.

That´s the Ku Kluxer vote I´ve referred to before. These guys only vote when they can see themselves in some Democrat, then they show up. It´s a few tens of thousands and as long as they don´t vote at all, normal people can pursue politics.

Well, they saw someone they could respect ~ a man who refused to shake hands with his black opponent ~ and they came out to vote.

So, there you have it.

Also, no Crispie Cremes in 2016 - he is not a conservative. Ted Cruz is the answer because he has the brains, guts, and fortitude to win.

See the graph to the right. It shows clearly that, in general, there was an aggregate shift to the Republican candidate at the top of the ballot ~ contrasting 2013 with 2012.

We will, of course, in the future, need to make sure there are NO Libertarian candidates on the ticket, nor Libertarians trying to dive bomb into our campaigns.

But this isn´t over. That´s the HUFFPO board and they said "lo and behold this is our best guess, more or less"

The VA women who voted Democrat because of the abortion ads are stupid. I don´t know what other word to use for people who believe a governor can make abortion illegal. What this election demonstrates is that democrats had to spend 10 to one agaisnt the Republican. Democrats had to FUND the libertarian to siphon votes from the republican. Democrats had to use a huge money advantage to run a non-stop spear campaign against the republican. The democrat press had to go on and on about how bad the tea party is. And finally, the "moderate" republicans buyin into all of the above wouldnt contribute and stayed home.

Result......the democrats eke out a win. Not by getting the majority of the vote, but a plurality. In any other state, there would bea run off betweenthe two leaving the "LINO" (Libertarian in name only) off the ballot.

So the democrats had to pullout all of the stops to barely elect a complete moron. A man possibly even less qualified than Obama. And we can probably thank many of our moderate republican friends for staying home, because of the the scary conservative.

And remember folks..... 2 weeks ago, McAuliffe was 12 points ahead.

Only goes to show how strong the MSM´s stranglehold on public opinion still is and how meaningless it is when Dear Leader´s polls drop into the "30s". I doubt there has ever been a time when the electorate has been, on the whole, as irrational and accepting of socialist propaganda as it is now. Our "progressive" friends in the voting booths could not care less about IRS corruption, Benghazi, or Dear Leader´s Obamacare howling lies - on the contrary, they are smugly smirking at how he got away with it all.

Agreed #37. Take a good, hard look at this race, folks. You´re going to see this played out again as the new modus operandi of the Left. Pour money into a fraud ´Libertarian´ candidate to split off the ´Lo-Fo´ Republican vote, use your friends in the Media to demonize the ´Tea Party´ candidate. And, to top it off, pull in every illegal, or ´hispanic´ voter you can find off the streets.

And what is the GOP response to this tactic going to be?

Ever the happy warrior of the left, Sen. Chuck Schumer is not giving up on his pipe dream: amnesty for illegal aliens in 2014. Appearing on MSNBC on Monday, Schumer said he thinks it still can happen this year thanks to a group of liberal Republicans—what he thinks is the majority of Republicans—who will stand by silently, letting amnesty pass while voting against it in the end. He called it the “vote-no, pray-yes caucus,” meaning that certain Republicans would publicly claim they are against amnesty, vote against it in the end, but behind the scenes either fight for its passage

Attorney General Eric Holder exploded at Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert during a House hearing Tuesday. In the midst of questions about the Justice Department’s failure to divulge documents about the Holy Land Foundation terror funding trial, Gohmert made a side comment about how the House of Representatives found Holder in contempt in 2012 for refusing to turn over documents related to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal. “I realize that contempt is not a big deal to our attorney general, but it is important that we have proper oversight,” Gohmert said. “You don’t want to go there, buddy! Rev. Al Shaprton, the controversial civil rights leader-turned-broadcaster, was a confidential FBi informant for years and helped the feds put members of the Genovese and Gambino organized crime families behind bars, it was revealed Monday in a sensational exposé. President Barack Obama will speak this week for the second time at the annual meeting of Sharpton´s National Action Network, raising questions about the group´s special treatment. Sharpton´s special relationship with the Justice Department may also explain why his NAN has been allowed to skirt responsibility for $1.9 million in back taxes and penalties it has owed the IRS since 2006

A few weeks ago, the liberal comedian Bill Maher and conservative strategist and pundit Bill Kristol had a brief spat on Maher’s HBO show, putatively over what instigated the tea party but ultimately over the psychic wound that has divided red America and blue America in the Obama years. The rise of the tea party, explained Maher in a let’s-get-real moment, closing his eyes for a second the way one does when saying something everybody knows but nobody wants to say, “was about a black president.” Both Maher and Kristol carry themselves with a weary cynicism that allows them to

When friends and family members gathered recently at the White House for a private celebration of Michelle Obama’s 50th birthday, one of the invited partygoers was a former paid FBI Mafia informant. That same man attended February’s state dinner in honor of French President Francois Hollande. He was seated with his girlfriend at a table adjacent to President Barack Obama, who is likely unaware that, according to federal agents, his guest once interacted with members of four of New York City’s five organized crime families. He even secretly taped some of those wiseguys using a briefcase that FBI technicians outfitted

LONDON - Peaches Geldof, the wild-child second daughter of concert organizer Bob Geldof who worked as a model, a television presenter and a fashion writer and filled the pages of British tabloids with her late-night antics, has died at age 25. There was no immediate word on the cause of her death at her home in Wrotham, Kent, southeast England. Her father said in a statement Monday: "Peaches has died. We are beyond pain." "She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us," he said. "Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever."

A married freshman Republican congressman who campaigned on his Christian, conservative values apologized Monday after surveillance video surfaced purportedly showing him in a lengthy liplock with a staffer. In the Dec. 23 footage, obtained by a local newspaper, Rep. Vance McAllister, R-La. - who ahead of his election last fall ran multiple campaign ads trumpeting his faith and family - is seen kissing and embracing a woman for about 20 seconds at his Monroe, La., district office. The Ouachita Citizen reports the woman is the congressman´s 33-year-old part-time scheduler, who is also married.

Call it the million-worker mystery. A large chunk of American adults are no longer in the labor force. That has left economists divided over how many of them are voluntarily not working-or even looking for work-because they wanted to retire, go to school or take care of family members, versus how many have been forced out because they couldn´t find a job. (snip) Shierholz estimates that there are currently more than 5 million missing workers who are not included in the unemployment rate because they are neither working nor looking for work, but who might be if the job market

The Democratic National Committee is furious by a conservative website’s ad campaign that depicts Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi clad in a bikini in a provocative pose with her tongue sticking out. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, called on Republicans to press Breitbart News to remove the artwork — one of several suggestive images on the website promoting the new California site. The image of Pelosi, beneath one of California Gov. Jerry Brown’s face photo-shopped onto a flexing body builder, includes the sub-head: “Because you can’t make this s— up.” “To say the least,

The chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee says investigators have uncovered evidence that a former Internal Revenue Service official may have committed crimes as part of the agency´s tea party controversy. Rep. Dave Camp set a committee vote for Wednesday on whether to refer Lois Lerner, who used to head the agency´s tax-exempt division, to the Justice Department "for possible criminal prosecution." Camp, R-Mich., did not specify which laws Lerner may have broken. Lerner´s lawyer, William W. Taylor III, has said she broke no laws. On Monday, Taylor emailed this response to Camp´s announcement: "One word: Ridiculous." Camp´s committee has been investigating

Add Bryan Cranston, the star of TV´s recent hit "Breaking Bad" and a new Broadway play about former President Lyndon B. Johnson, to Team Obamacare. In an interview with Yahoo News “global anchor” Katie Couric, the actor called Obamacare the highlight of President Obama´s legacy. “Now’s the time to stake a claim to leave your legacy,” he encouraged Obama. “I personally believe that his health care program is fantastic. Yes, there are problems. Anything worth while is going to go through a growing pains period. But this is his legacy and I think it’s a great one because I don’t

As the House prepares for several key votes on former Internal Revenue Service employee Lois G. Lerner and potential legal action, analysts say she and her attorney have mishandled their case by picking and choosing when they want to talk, and to whom they are willing to talk. Ms. Lerner faces a vote in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Thursday that could begin the process of accusing her of contempt of Congress. The Ways and Means Committee announced that it will hold a vote Wednesday on whether to officially accuse Ms. Lerner of breaking the law by

American public school students sick of the smaller portions and healthier offerings they get at lunch thanks to Michelle Obama´s anti-obesity initiatives are sounding off on social media. Just a month after school lunch participation saw the steepest drop on record following the implementation of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, students tired of going home hungry are making sure the first lady knows why. ´I´ll never forgive Michelle Obama for this school lunch,´ tweeted one angry student. [Snip] The extremely negative reviews have over a million kids refusing to eat the offerings, an ironic result for legislation meant to combat
