Insurance cancelled? Don´t blame
Obama or the ACA, blame America´s
insurance companies

Fox News, by Juan Williams

Original Article

Liar! Pinocchio! Deceiver! With all the charges flying against President Obama in the on-going effort to stop ObamaCare it’s time for a reality check. Having failed to kill the Affordable Care Act in Congress by shutting down the government the opposition is currently taking delight in charging the president with lying to the public when he said anyone who likes their current healthcare plan will be able to keep it under the new law. It turns out that some people in the individual care market – about 5 percent of the overall insurance market -- are having their insurance policies

Comments:
The government did not “force” insurance companies to cancel their own substandard policies???? Really Juan?? Sometimes I think he deserved what he got from NPR. He should be ashamed of himself for all of these lies and misrepresentations. It´s obvious he is following the orders of his fellow comrades. Never tell the truth, always support the Marxist lying leader!

The government defined a substandard policy as one that doesn´t include free birth control to post-menapausal women, Juan.

Once upon a time I thought there was hope for Juan, considering how badly the left abused him for not toeing the company line 110% of the time. I´ve now come to the conclusion there´s no hope for him. He just keeps saying dumber and dumber stuff. Watching him on Fox against Mary Katherine Hamm is not pretty. He´s now got the mentailty that if you yell, you win.

Harry Reid´s mother in law gets her insurance from Kaiser.

As of October 1 this year she can no longer use Fairfax Hospital (INOVA)

She will probably die on the long ambulance ride to Baltimore (it´s gonna´ be free ya hear) after Ol´Har coldcocks her after she grabs his ear to tell him how he has inconvenienced her!!!

The HMO was invented in DC back in the Great Depression. We used to have a lot of them. Kaiser spent the last 15 or 20 years absorbing all of them, and now the customers can´t count on hospitalization locally.

I say a crime was commited.

Let me give you a hint: Tomorrow´s will be (If McAuliffe succeeds in stealing the Virginia election). "Terry´s election proves the people are behind Obamacare."

Juan, like most liberals, have no knowledge of the basics of economics and the running of businesses. Liberals believe that businesses should offer their products so as not to make a profit. Profits are evil to them.

So go ahead, blame insurance companies who cannot make money when Obamacare and its regs make that impossible. Oh, and Juan, why don´t you explain that to the state insurance regulators who oversee insurance companies. Maybe you can wow them with your idiotic logic as well.

Oh, one more thing, just wait till the employer mandate kicks in. It will be a lot, a lot more than 5% who lose their policies.

So let me get this straight, Juan. If a thousand of your friends put their money together to form an insurance company to serve their community, the risk pools and payouts should not be BOTH self-sustaining AND profitable.

Your friends should have invested their time, energy and money merely to be the unpaid servants of the policy holders?

Worse yet, it seems you want them to LOSE money in the process.

Either you don´t understand how business works, by providing a service in a competitive market, and receiving only the rate of income that a competitive market allows, or you hate those hypothetical friends who would lose their money if they followed your rules.

I have noticed that the liberals Fox News hires often become less so and thus less valuable to the ´fair & balanced´ equation.

I think they must get occasional pep talks encouraging them to be more vocal and unhinged on air so they hold up their end of that bargain/equation.

They need the contrast.

Case in point is Kirsten Powers´ recently revealed new found Christianity.

Watch for her to be more strident to counteract that revelation.

Juan, get out of town. The insurance policies were written by democrat hacks to cover people who cannot, or won´t pay, for pre-existing conditions, and for coverage that the purchaser does not want, or need. These policies are mandated by Obamacare, so the other policies are canceled by law. The insurance companies have nothing to do with the policies, but are guilty of wanting the government to require everyone to have a policy.

Juan, does it hurt to have the White House´s hand up your back and to have sawdust for brains?

BO was unequivocal about this, "We could keep our insurance plans, doctors, and our costs would drop by $2500 per family. Period!" NONE of these things are true.

Juan, we don´t all drive BMWs because we cannot all afford them or may not choose to pay the price for them. Most of us don´t need all the "extras" demanded by BOCare and do NOT want or may not be able to afford to pay for them.

The point is, in a free society, people get to choose what is best for them, even if they turn out to be wrong about it. Insurers are not taking advantage of us. They offer services at a set price. We decide if those services are worth that price, TO US. To many people, they are. No, the policies we buy don´t have all the BOCare bells and whistles. We don´t want them and we don´t want to pay for them.

BO promised we would continue to have that choice. HE LIED!

Marxists and dumb people believe there is such a thing as a free lunch. They cannot understand that people do not work for free. Of course Juan and his fellow travelers also do not work for free but still think others should. When you require a health insurance company to cover more services it costs more. When you require them to cover people who have higher risks and will be sicker more often it costs them more. They do not work for free just like Juan. It is very simple really and it so escapes those who mindlessly follow the politicians they have fallen in love with. If Juan truly believes these silly concepts he should be the first one to line up and work for free. He should take his pay cut and perform for Fox News for minimum wage.

Researchers at Princeton and Northwestern universities have pored over 1,800 US policies and concluded that America is an oligarchy. Instead of looking out for the majority of the country’s citizens, the US government is ruled by the interests of the rich and the powerful, they found. No great surprises there, then. But the government is not the only American power whose motivations need to be rigourously examined. Some 2,400 miles away from Washington, in Silicon Valley, Google is aggressively gaining power with little to keep it in check. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal

The Clintons had a busy night of celebrations after Chelsea announced she and husband Marc Mezvinsky are expecting a baby. Bill joined “House of Cards” star Kevin Spacey at the Revlon Rainforest Fund Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall Thursday, joking of Spacey’s Machiavellian character, “When I was president people accused me of murder all the time, made a show of investigating. Spacey’s president for 15 minutes and he gets away with murder.” Spacey, who sang during the event with Sting, Stephen Stills and James Taylor, also showed off his Johnny Carson impression, taking a swipe at the coverage of Flight
