CNN´s Toobin Says Benghazi Is
Not a Scandal; ´There Is Nothing There´

Newsbusters, by Matt Hadro

CNN´s senior legal analyst thinks that any further investigation into Benghazi is looking at a "non-story" since "there is nothing there, in terms of a scandal." On Thursday´s AC360 Later, Jeffrey Toobin scoffed at Republican efforts to gain access to more Benghazi witnesses and CIA operatives. "This is a non-story. Benghazi was a tragedy. It´s not a scandal. Republicans are going to investigate this until the end of the Obama administration. They will find nothing, because there´s nothing to be found there," he insisted. [Video below the break. Toobin should put down the crack pipe. There are far nastier remarks I could have made, but they would have only passed muster in a saloon.

No, I didn´t read the article.

Just who is Jeffrey Toobin in the scheme of things? (I think he is a round-faced man who wears glasses and works for CNN - a network that no one watches unless there is a tsunami some place.)

How dare he treat the deaths of those men so cavalierly? He should ask their family members if "there is nothing there".

Isn´t it interesting that Morning Joe´s Joe, Mika and Nicolle Wallace are defending Hillary Clinton´s Benghazi ´what difference does it make´ remark, and here we have CNN´s Toobin saying there is nothing to Benghazi? Who is next? Do we have a mantra building to benefit Ms. Hillary?

Toobin is a left-wing lawyer and is typically brought on news yack shows for his alleged expertise in legal-related stories.

In other words, he has absolutely no basis to spout any opinion about foreign policy. It doesn´t take a genius to realize that, yes, there is certainly "something there" when it comes to Benghazi. The whole affair was very strange and rotten from day one and has only become more so. Anyone over the age of 12 should be able to see clearly that the administration is hiding something.

For those that have followed all this from the beginning of the war I think it should be clear what happened. Chris and company were there trying to find/buy/destroy all the manpads that were giving Obama nightmares. It woulda been on him if passenger planes started going down. So they couldn´t be sure it wasn´t a trap. Black hawk down all over again right before the election. So they decided to stand down rather than risk losing more. Cowards. If there is "nothing" in Benghazi, why have 0bama and Hillary kept all the witnesses under wraps. Why did the investigating team stay out of Benghazi for six weeks after the occurrence? Why did Hillary make every excuse for six months not to testify, and when she did, all she said was, "What difference does it make"? There is so much scandal about Benghazi that 0bama and Hillary cannot let the witnesses talk; it was on Hillary´s watch, and she says she takes full responsibility, yet, her words are empty. Four brave Americans died because she did not protect them, and she did NOTHING to save them.

FREEHOLD — A family is suing a New Jersey school district, contending that the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance is discriminatory toward atheist children. The lawsuit against the Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District was filed in state court last month and announced Monday by the American Humanist Association. The group says the phrase, added in 1954, "marginalizes atheist and humanist kids as something less than ideal patriots." The anonymous plaintiffs say those two words violate the state constitution. But school district lawyer David Rubin says the district is merely following a state law that requires schools to have

Attorney General Eric Holder announced today that dozens of lawyers will be reassigned to the Justice Department’s pardon office in anticipation of a surge of applications from drug offenders for reductions in their sentences — applications the Obama administration has signaled it would look upon favorably. This exercise is another transparent usurpation of legislative power by the president. The pardon power is just the camouflage for it. The pardon power exists so that the president can act in individual cases to correct excesses and injustices. It is not supposed to be a vehicle by which presidents rewrite congressional statutes that

In the budget proposal he presented to Congress last month, President Barack Obama called for what would be the highest level of sustained taxation ever imposed on the American people, according to the analysis published last week by the Congressional Budget Office. Under Obama’s proposal, taxes would rise from 17.6 percent of Gross Domestic Product in 2014 to 19.2 percent in 2024. During the ten years from 2015 to 2024, federal taxation would average 18.7 percent GDP. America has never been subjected to a ten-year stretch of taxation at that level.

Perhaps the most remarkable feature of American democracy is the magnificent estate of public land that it reserved from the very beginning for the use of all citizens, rich or poor. There is nothing like it in the democracies of Europe, which came into being with nations already carved up into private fiefdoms. From the left: Education icon Diane Ravitch says the Common Core represents a “utilitarian view of education” that is too focused on testing, data, and accountability. From the right, “ObamaCore” is denounced as federal intrusion. Heritage Foundation education fellow Lindsey Burke calls it “an effort to impose a uniform, standardized curriculum across the country.” From the further right, the always
