Masked from public view, two of the U.S. military’s elite special operations commandos have been awarded medals for bravery for a mission that further undercuts the Obama administration’s original story about the Benghazi tragedy. For months, administration officials have claimed no special operations forces were dispatched from outside Libya to Benghazi during the Sept. 11, 2012, al Qaeda terrorist attacks on the U.S. diplomatic mission and CIA annex because none was within range. The Pentagon, under intense public criticism for not coming to the aid of besieged Americans, published an official timeline in November that carefully danced around the issue. It said time
#1 is correct and #6 you are wrong. the issue is one that could get Obama impeached without much dallying. That is why he has a "gay squirrel" pivot every time Benghazi heats up. There is something unthinkably evil here that will not go away.
Four good Americans died because it was more politically expedient to let them die than to rescue them. You don´t get much more craven than that. Only a heartless narcissist could justify this action. Re-election was the most important consideration for Obama. His work was not done and he wasn´t going to let it be cut short. An incident that blew up that proved Al Qaeda was not on the run had to be quashed at any cost. Barry´s agenda was more important.
The administration has blamed editing of “talking points” for the misleading accounts, the most famous of which was given on national television by Susan E. Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations at the time, five days after the attack.
"The administration blamed", the administration blamed....
....doesn´t the administration have some responsibility in and of itself for everything that went wrong in Benghazi?
Doesn´t the administration blame itself for any one, let alone all, of the horror show that has scared the living hell out of most Americans?
Everything that has gone wrong since TARP and all the way up to Obamacare is the administration´s fault, yet this POTUS doesn´t have a desk at which the buck stops. All he´s got is a bicycle, a geeky helmet and a basketball hoop; and now, we learn, chewing gum and a computer game.

How long was that poor schmuck in jail for producing a video that contributed absolutely nothing to this outrage? Obama is not just incompetent, he is evil. To put personal political gain ahead of the lives of far better men than him is beyond the pale. He doesn´t just need to be impeached, he needs to be tried for treason along with all his sycofants.

November is the month when Catholics especially remember the dead. My dear mother died this year and I will remember her especially, but I also will pray for the men who died at Benghazi and all the victims of terrorism this year. There have been way too many.

The msm has done everything in their power to bury this tragic scandal along with scores of other lies and attacks against the American people. Thankfully, it has survived, thus far. However, time and the msm are on Obama´s side and that is a hand that has been very hard to beat.
A corrupt government doesn´t need a Pravda, if 85% of the media is in their hip pocket. The other 15% become right wing loons and someone to blame for their massive failures.

So, we DID have some SpecOps troops in the area, and they DID try to come to the aid of those killed in Benghazi.
I think some here don´t realize that this actually makes Team O look good. I have no heartburn with the administration saying there was NO troops in the area to help. They were on a highly classified mission, they didn´t "exist".
This isn´t a hill to charge, the State Dept ignoring warnings and short-shafting security for PC nonsense is where the scandal lies. Also, why was Stevens there?
Sheriff Joe´s Death Certificate Committee, brought into enough court houses, can find him, finally, guilty of a felony and arrested Benghazi, the biggest cover up since JFK, can find him guilty, and unlike JFK, 50 witnesses have not been killed. There are many good people available to testify. After the Benghazi murders, the President has not murdered any of the witnesses. The networks and press will not help. Are they all traitors, too? Shouting Benghazi in all public appearances will create great power that is missing from our cowardly commie media.
#13-It might have made the Obama admin look good, or better at least, if it had been made public at the time. Instead, the admin engaged in a massive cover-up, because the truth conflicted with the narrative of the campaign: that O had defeated Al Qaeda.
Here´s the way it went down in defense of Obama. No one gave the order to stand down the ´commandos´ had rules of engagement orders and they were, these were the ´good Muslim´ rebels and our allies so they couldn´t shoot or engage our allies. Obama´s Muslim Brotherhood are his friends but it turned out they were Al-Qiada and they were supposed to be dead and the war on terror over according to Obama. In puzzlement the commandos sat outside the walls at Benghazi with orders not to engage eating their MREs while the CIC got his sleep time for the big day in Las Vegas the next day. Valarie Jarrett had to spin the movie story and portray the attackers as mad movie critics. See how it works.
Appears Benghazi was a planned attack...the movie, seemed to be an excuse, planned in advance..Was this a hit on an Ambassador who was moving arms to AlQaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood for Obama...then balked over the WMD that did show up in Syria????
Rep Wolf knows Stevens was tortured, raped and his .... removed
Tell Americans the truth...The TRUTH of Benghazi will enrage Americans...and this WH knows that...Ask Inhoef
There is NO such thing as a mass media in this Country. There is a quisling press indoctrinated and operated for the liberal, marxist, communist democRAT party. Just remember at the end of World War II, the Norwegians executed the first Quisling for Treason and following adolph hitler´s orders.
Someone help me understand the thought process that would make them think that blaming this on a video would make everything OK. Just for the sake of this comment, let´s say it was the "vile" video that got things stirred up. Did the video fire RPG´s into the compound? Did the video set fire to the consulate? Did the video sodomize and then drag Ambassador Stevens through the streets? Did the video kill him and the others? Did the video keep up the 8-hour attack? I fail to see how a video could be blamed for this even if the attackers saw a video. They are just as dead. Did they expect the families to say "Oh, a video. Well that makes the loss of my son OK." Who reasons like that?
I hold to my belief the two men who came to aid of those at the Embassy were denied support because they did not obey the "Stand Down" order. You do NOT ignore orders from the "WON"! The penalty was Death.
I have long suspected that something was going on in Libya that is an impeachable offense for Obama. There is no other rational excuse for the level of stonewalling and secrecy. Mere bungling would have been less damaging to him and Hillary than all the foo fraw they have endured.
President Obama has found someone to blame for the Affordable Care Act´s rolling failures besides Republicans. ObamaCare is the government´s fault, not his. On Thursday, Mr. Obama dropped by American University for a heart to heart with Chris Matthews, and the MSNBC host wondered who in the executive branch is responsible for the botched health-care rollout. Mr. Obama listed a few impersonal culprits including "cynicism," "Washington gridlock" and "the management of government," but he then drifted into another classic. "The challenge, I think, that we have going forward is not so much my personal management style or particular issues around White House
Jobs Report: November´s numbers were stronger than expected, a phrase rarely uttered since this president took the economic reins. But while a bigger number is always better, one good month now and then won´t cut it. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the economy created 203,000 jobs in November, 196,000 of which were in the private sector. Now at 7%, the unemployment rate has fallen to the lowest level in five years. What´s more, unlike in previous months, the rate´s drop came from gains in employment, not from people dropping out of the labor force. The labor force participation rate actually
Executive Orders: A liberal constitutional scholar warns of the concentration of power not only in the hands of one branch of government but in a single man who ignores the Constitution and acts of Congress on a whim. As the story goes, Benjamin Franklin emerged from Independence Hall at the close of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia on Sept. 18, 1787, when a woman asked, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" Franklin is said to have replied, "A republic, madam — if you can keep it." The Founders designed a system of checks and balances among three
Most presidents have politically troublesome relatives: Jimmy Carter had colorful brother Billy, Bill Clinton had brother Roger, and the George Bushes had son/brother Neil, who was involved in both the savings-and-loan scandal of the 1980s and Asian "sex romps" that emerged in a messy 2003 divorce. Obama has a passel of half-siblings, but his requisite nettlesome relative may turn out to be an uncle, Onyango (Omar) Obama. In August 2011, Uncle Omar was pulled over in Framingham, Mass., for driving under the influence. His arrest revealed both several outstanding orders for his deportation and his relationship to the

WASHINGTON — Without Nelson Mandela, there might never have been a President Obama. That is the strong impression conveyed from Mr. Obama, whose political and personal bonds to Mr. Mandela, the former South African president, transcended their single face-to-face meeting, which took place at a hotel here in 2005. It was the fight for racial justice in South Africa by Mr. Mandela that first inspired a young Barack Obama to public service, the American president recalled on Thursday evening after hearing that Mr. Mandela, the 95-year-old world icon, had died. Mr. Obama delivered his first public speech, in 1979, at
RUSH: We mentioned earlier that Obama didn´t know that Obama was living with his uncle, who happened to be an illegal alien at the time. Here´s Jay Carney. This is yesterday afternoon in Washington the White House at the daily briefing. Ed Henry, the Fox News White House correspondent, said, "The White House said that in 2011, that there was no record of Obama and his uncle, Omar Obama, ever meeting. Now the Boston Globe is being told by the White House -- and I assume you can elaborate here, Jay -- that, in fact, they not only met, but
One consequence of the botched launch of Obamacare is that it has, judging from his plummeting numbers with “millennials,” diminished Barack Obama’s cool. It’s not merely that the website isn’t state-of-the-art, but that the art it’s flailing to be state of is that of the mid-20th century social program. The emperor has hipster garb, but underneath he’s just another Commissar Squaresville. So, health care being an irredeemable downer for the foreseeable future, this week the president pivoted (as they say) to “economic inequality,” which will be, he assures us, his principal focus for the rest of his term. And what’s
This column has made the point before that there are three phases of the ObamaCare catastrophe. Phase 1, the technical failure, might have been avoided had the administration had some basic standards of competence. But Phases 2 and 3 are inherent in the law. Phase 2 was the revelation that the ObamaCare enterprise is the most massive consumer fraud in American history--that the "if you like your plan, you can keep it" sales pitch was not only false but deliberately deceptive, and also that ObamaCare forces insurance companies to engage in dishonest practices such as selling maternity coverage to men and

If you just landed from Mars and turned on the TV, you may be confused over who was Barack Obama and who was Nelson Mandela, based on the way it´s being covered. Well, I´m just telling you. The Washington press corps and even the White House are moving here at full speed to associate Barack Obama with Nelson Mandela. Here, grab number three. This just gives you a taste of it here. This is Scott Pelley on the CBS Evening
Speaker John Boehner said his party should support gay Republican congressional candidates and urged his colleagues to “be a little more sensitive” when running against women. “Some of our members just aren’t as sensitive as they ought to be,” Boehner said. When asked if he thinks his party should support gay candidates, Boehner simply said: “I do.”
Incompetence: Mr. President, you might not remember her, but Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is the one running the disastrous ObamaCare launch. You once met her. You two should get acquainted. Jimmy Carter was the most infamous micro-manager to be president, pestering commanders of the ill-fated 1980 Iran hostage rescue mission by two-way radio, and personally reviewing White House tennis court schedules. As to the opposite, Ronald Reagan was relentlessly accused of being out of touch. "Surround yourself with the best people you can find, delegate authority, and don´t interfere as long as the policy you´ve decided upon is being carried
More young men in California rise in pitch at the end of their sentences when talking, new research shows. This process is known as "uptalk" or "valleygirl speak" and has in the past been associated with young females, typically from California or Australia. But now a team says that this way of speaking is becoming more frequent among men.The findings were presented at the Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America in California. "We found use of uptalk in all of our speakers, despite their diverse backgrounds in socioeconomic status, ethnicity, bilingualism and gender," said Amanda Ritchart, a linguist at the University of

The question all week long was this: Who are you going to believe, an illegal alien or the president of the United States of America? Obviously, if it’s a president who once went by an alias, Barry Soetoro, you go with Uncle Omar, 100 percent, no questions asked. And so it was that the White House finally admitted to another, uh, misstatement — despite previous denials, Barack/Barry did sleep on his beloved Uncle Omar’s couch in Cambridge when he first moved here to attend Harvard Law School (speaking of which, we’re still waiting to see the president’s grades and his LSAT scores). But the
The most curious thing of all about the November jobs report released on Friday was the huge drop in the unemployment rate — and the fact that the Labor Department chose not to disclose that the data going into that figure are under investigation for falsification. On Nov. 19, I broke the news in my column that the Census Bureau, which collects data that goes into the jobless rate on behalf of Labor, had caught one of its enumerators fabricating interviews in 2010. The culprit said back then (and to me during an interview) that he was told to do so by
How do you get your arms around the catastrophe known as Obamacare? Is it even possible? At this point, I’m not sure it is. The list of individual disasters which threaten to ruin one-sixth of the U.S. economy and what has been, up until now, the best healthcare system in the world is exhaustive, and exhausting. The examples I will identify here barely scratch the surface. First but by no means foremost, we have the supposedly new and improved HealthCare.gov. Except it’s not, even the visible part. Stories still abound of people still failing to get in or to get through the enrollment
Denver - A baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex ceremony must serve gay couples despite his religious beliefs or face fines, a judge said Friday. The order from administrative law judge Robert N. Spencer said Masterpiece Cakeshop in suburban Denver discriminated against a couple "because of their sexual orientation by refusing to sell them a wedding cake for their same-sex marriage." The order says the cake-maker must "cease and desist from discriminating" against gay couples. Although the judge did not impose fines in this case, the business will face penalties if it continues to turn away gay

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a new five-year strategic plan to improve safety for elderly drivers and passengers. Although they are statistically among the safest on the road, the number of older drivers is increasing dramatically — and with it, that group´s numbers of injuries and deaths. Since 2003, the population of older adults, defined as age 65 and older, has increased by 20% and the number of licensed older drivers increased by 21% to 35 million in 2012, according to NHTSA. Last year, NHTSA reported that 5,560 people older than 65 died and 214,000 were injured
Former President Bill Clinton shared an anecdote regarding Nelson Mandela and the aftermath of his impeachment Friday on CNN. Clinton revealed shortly after the “impeachment business” finished on Capitol Hill, Rep. Henry Hyde (R., Ill.) who managed the impeachment trial requested a meeting at the White House. The former president granted the meeting out of lessons of humility and forgiveness he learned from Mandela, he said: BILL CLINTON: I remember one day, oh, about a month after the whole impeachment business was over, Henry Hyde, who had run the whole show, unbelievably enough, maybe a few months after, it was
One definition of a pathological liar is someone who lies where the truth would serve just as well. When President Obama’s uncle, Onyango Obama, was arrested in 2011 for drunk driving, the truth — that Obama had stayed with his uncle years earlier for several weeks as a Harvard law student — would have served the president just fine. No potential Obama voter would have held it against him that an uncle he had stayed with two decades earlier was picked up for DUI. Yet the White House went with a lie, claiming that Obama had never met his uncle. Now that
Although the jobless rate in November fell to its lowest level since he took office, President Obama called on Republican lawmakers Saturday to spend tens of billions on unemployment benefits that are set to expire this month. “It shouldn’t be a partisan issue,” Mr. Obama said in his weekly address. But he said the “economic lifeline” is in jeopardy. “All because Republicans in this Congress — which is on track to be the most unproductive in history — have so far refused to extend it” Mr. Obama said. If Congress doesn’t act before lawmakers leave on their holiday break, about
Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community: that the Syrian army is not the only party in the country’s civil war with access to sarin, the nerve agent that a UN study concluded – without assessing responsibility – had been used in the rocket attack. In the months before the attack,
