President Barack Obama’s job approval has dropped to an all-time low, according to a new poll released Wednesday. A new NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey shows that a mere 42 percent of Americans approve of Obama’s job performance, down five points from a poll conducted in early October. The president’s disapproval rating stands at 51 percent, tying an all-time high for Obama. In all, 41 percent of respondents say they have a less favorable opinion of the president since the 16 day government shutdown, compared to 21 percent who say they have a more favorable view since the shutdown. Comments: If Hussein did not have the DemocRat Media Complex shielding him an shaping the information dissemination to the public at large, he would have tanked a LONG time ago.
I think the corrupt news media thumb on the scale of public opinion is worth almost 20 points for the over all populace (includes LoFo´s) and about 10 points for likely voters (HiFo´s). And that´s in an influence either direction. So when Bush was polling at 30 among all Americans, the media-free number would have been close to 50, and when Obama polls at 42, his actual number is in the low to mid 20´s, say 25. That 25 per cent approval is his bare core true-believers. Exclude the Black bias and in a fair and balanced media environment he´d be at 20. He´s in trouble so look for him to turn up the blame and bluster demagogue act even more. That´s the way he rolls.
Hussein´s base is made up of NoFos, LoFos, the helpless, entitled class and liberal nut cases. He´s a few fries short of a Happy Meal himself. That doesn´t speak well for what America has become to put a quack like him into office.
#1, do not tie Ted Cruz to the GOP fossils. There´s a world of difference there.
I have a bad impression of the GOP and I vote GOP. I have a bad impression because of their lack of courage to do what is right for the American people. They would rather protect their personal power. They also ignore the Constitution. The Tea Party members including Cruz and Lee are the bright spots in Washington. They currently hold membership in the GOP, but someday may provide the foundation of a new Constitutional Party. I heard on Local TV yesterday that the new WSJ poll also indicated a majority claimed to not be a part of either party. It sounds like the country is perhaps open to scrapping the GOP and the Dems.
He´s an ideologue. His approval could be at 1% and he´d talk like he was the most beloved person in the world (and by the way, that 1% approval would come from the press).
Remember, Lenin won Communist Party leadership by one whole vote and then proceeded to define the opposition by labeling them Mensheviks (minority) and Bolsheviks (majority) -- and it was all true because he said and kept saying it.
#10 is on to something. Never forget that ABC political analyst Mark Halperin bragged years ago that the media could massage at least 15% to any poll numbers you could float. Just remember when you see poll numbers, thanks to the media cooking them, they are probably 15-20% lower than reported.
Personally, I think Obama is beyond all-time low in his numbers, but the media won´t allow the truth. It exposes them for the frauds and gullible suckers they are too.
And their solution for the low approval rating is to simply add 30 million new "high approvers" to the equation. Enter Rubio, McCain, Boehner, Cantor, Ryan, et. al. The complicit RINOs are all set to give Dear Leader the immigration reform that will insure America´s permanent destruction.
IMO the most starting of obama´s boy king actions to lofo´s was erecting the barriers around the Open Air Monuments. It was a visual for All to See. This includes many Dems who had parents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousin or friends involved in WWII. They saw the disrespect shown. It usually takes something of this nature to open eyes. The major scandals are not visuals for their eyes to behold.
We all know that the current administration is a disaster for our country. We also know that it will never cease its attacks on our freedoms, our values or our economy. The only question is whether we have the support and the strength to wrest power away from them in 14 and 16.
Ted Cruz is an extraordinarily talented and forceful leader. He may tip the balance in our favor.
It just isn´t true, Associated Press-GfK survey of 1,227 probable voters conducted Oct. 3-7, with a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points shows the approval rating at 37%. Why do they keep lying about it never having been this low? Real numbers are of course lower. the 37 or even 42% are inflated to make it look better that it really is. UB
23 Patriot Code nails it. Organizing 20 to 30 million aliens with both fake and real ID is like bribing up to 30 million votes. Once they are half assed legalized, they can use lawyers, class action law suits everywhere. Top that with the dems already criminal electronic vote fraud and America´s right to vote is OVER. The commie Schumers, Reids, Waxmans, Feinsteins, and the RINO turncoats Rubios, McCains. Cantors, Boehners, can solve all their bribed, hush money greed pay off problems by passing this crazed bill that puts illiterate alien, mostly Mexican invaders ahead of accomplished, educated foreign applicants from all over the world. Washington and the MSM media are a mafia hotbed of protection and cover up of massive crimes against the people. Shout BENGHAZI in all Obama and Clinton public appearances. REMEMBER JOE WILSON ! (and that was only one time! imagine when it starts happening all the time !!!!) Shout Benghazi !
I was reminded yesterday how O was touting the country´s approval of the healthcare bill, as shown by his re-election. THAT, according to him and his minions, is why he was re-elected!
Now we know that he fudged the little details of this bill, covered the truth of what they promised. IF many they voted for him knew the truth, how many would have voted for him?
And does anyone think that once the mandate on businesses is released, we wont see this happening there as well?? The thing they didnt forsee, was how the website debacle would draw attention to the ineptitude of these dolts. The problem there only is covering for the fraud they were trying to pull on the people.
My approval meter for Obama won´t move off of the zero peg mark. I´m more worried about the percentage who approve of this baffoon, low IQ idiot. If an election were held tomorrow and Obama could run he would win that´s how he has things sewed up. Obama owns the topics with his propaganda communist style media.
Virtually every Democrat in Congress is in lockstep with him. Since Obama is a self-proclaimed Collectivist ***, what does this mean? Communist goal #15 (via The Naked Communist): Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
As another commenter said, Obama doesn´t care. The Democrats are on a mission... "Forward"
Walter Duranty, NYT "But---to put it brutally---you can´t make an omelette without breaking eggs, and the Bolshevist leaders are just as indifferent to the casualties that may be involved in their drive toward socializaton as any General during the World War who ordered a costly attack in order to show his superiors that he and his division possessed the proper soldierly spirit. In fact, the Bolsheviki are more indifferent because they are animated by fanatical conviction."
Barack Obama, Nov, 2012 "The task of perfecting our union moves forward. It moves forward because of you. It moves forward because you reaffirmed the spirit that has triumphed over war and depression,” Obama said. “We are an American family that will rise and fall together as one nation and as one people.”
Looks like a race to bottom to me, with GOP and Obama dropping like flies. This poll shows--to you skewed polls fans-why good pollster NEVER weight by party id (because party id is fluid, whereas other weigting variables like age or gender or race, are not (although gender may be fluid in NYC)). Notice that identification with GOP OR DEMS is at an all time low. Here are the results today for a poll that DOES weight by party ID: "The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Obama´s job performance. Fifty percent (50%) disapprove (see trends). "
I disagreed with Krauthammer´s argument that the Tea Party should have stayed out of the way a month ago and let ObamaCare collapse.
Calling attention to it and trying to stop it just before it collapses made the MSM cover the ObamaCare rollout even more and makes Cruz et. al. look like geniuses. It´s probably better that they failed to change or repeal ObamaCare so they couldn´t be blamed for the collapse.
# 1 is correct. Republicans would be jubilant to have Obama´s numbers. The shutdown hurt Obama, but, it devastated the Republican Party. Most Americans consider the Tea Party to be part of the Republican Party. Congressmen and Senators , including Cruz , all have R´s after their names, not TP. Post shutdown the approval of the Republican Party is 22% approval , 53 % disapproval which is horrendous. Polls this month show that the Tea Party numbers and Cruz´s favorability are also in the tank. The Tea Party may love Cruz, but, America doesn´t. Cruz was wrong when he promised that Senate Democrats would fall in line and defund Obamacare. Cruz was wrong when he said that Obama would fall in line and defund Obamacare. Cruz was wrong when he said the American public would support the shutdown. His private mea culpa to fellow Senate Republicans yesterday at their weekly luncheon indicates he knows he was wrong, despite his public nonsense that he won. The Tea Party , Cruz and Limbaugh can continue to live in their We Won bubble , the rest of us recognize reality. The Cruz shutdown was a pointless disaster and there´s no way to spin it otherwise. Commence the childish name calling.
#40 Unlike some of the posters on this website, there are a few of us who value opinions different from ours. That´s why I come here, and I don´t get all huffy if you don´t like Ted Cruz just as I don´t like John Cornyn. It´s your opinion and you are welcome to share it. We can disagree without being disagreeable, right?
never has the citizens of USA been confronted with such raw evil. they can´t believe it. I talk to elderly folks in their late 70s and early 80s and they tell me "oh well, I am not an Obama hater. He is doing an ok job. Times are tough, a lot of things on his plate..." It waste of time to talk to them. There are millions.they are believers.
Correction, OP. If He did not have the DemocRat Media Complex actively working for Him in the election he would not be in the WH, except as a visitor. He is totally unqualified for the job in all respects.
I can only laugh at the Cruz haters on these threads and their inability to restrain themselves from nipping at his heels like sassy little chihuahuas.Despite all of the phony polls we know how popular he is and how dangerous he can be to the other side by their vile obsession with the man. If they didn,t fear him they would talk about someone else.A true conservative is their worst nightmare.
There´s a furor at the White House, and they did NOT SEE it coming. Also, Republicans came under attack over the weekend for a well-intended but impolitic tweet observing the 58th anniversary of Rosa Parks´s arrest for defying segregation on a Montgomery, Ala., municipal bus. "Today we remember Rosa Parks´ bold stand and her role in ending racism," read the tweet from the Republican National Committee´s institutional account. "Of course, there´s nothing controversial about celebrating a woman today who played a big role in the American civil-rights movement," writes National Journal´s Matt Berman. "What is bothering some people today, though, is the
Here the liberals go again: trying with all their might to prop up an increasingly unpopular piece of legislation. This time, no less than Robert Reich has attempted to take the "moral" high road and claim that there is a "moral imperative" to ObamaCare. Reich noted that recently he heard a young man express that he would rather pay a penalty than be forced by law to purchase health insurance. According to Reich, the young man asked, "Why should I pay for the sick and the old?" Reich´s answer is telling: "The answer is he has a responsibility to do so,
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the heads of Israel’s intelligence community to look for proof that Iran is violating an interim deal signed with the international community last week over its nuclear program, a British newspaper reported on Sunday. The Israeli spying effort to expose Iranian duplicity represents a direct challenge to US President Barack Obama’s efforts, it said. Mossad, as well as the IDF’s Military Intelligence Directorate, have been told to dig up evidence of Iranian duplicity ahead of Obama’s push to win support for the deal in Congress and thus head off legislators’ demands for further sanctions
For nearly 20 years, the secret code to authorize launching U.S. nuclear missiles, and starting World War III, was terrifyingly simple and even noted down on a checklist. From 1962, when John F Kennedy instituted PAL encoding on nuclear weapons, until 1977, the combination to fire the devastating missiles at the height of the Cold War was just 00000000. This was chosen by Strategic Air Command in an effort to make the weapons as quick and as easy to launch as possible, as reported by Today I Found Out. The Permissive Action Link (PAL) is a security device for nuclear weapons that it
The secret back channel of negotiations between Iran and the United States, which led to this month’s interim deal in Geneva on Iran’s rogue nuclear program, has also seen a series of prisoner releases by both sides, which have played a central role in bridging the distance between the two nations, the Times of Israel has been told. In the most dramatic of those releases, the US in April released a top Iranian scientist, Mojtaba Atarodi, who had been arrested in 2011 for attempting to acquire equipment that could be used for Iran’s military-nuclear programs. American and Iranian officials have
As America struggles with high unemployment and record inequality, everyone is offering competing solutions to the problem. In this war of words (and classes), one thing has been repeated so often that many people now regard it as fact. "Rich people create the jobs." Specifically, by starting and directing America´s companies, entrepreneurs and rich investors create the jobs that sustain everyone else. This statement is usually invoked to justify cutting taxes on entrepreneurs and investors. If only we reduce those taxes and regulations, the story goes, entrepreneurs and investors can be incented to build more companies and create more jobs. This argument ignores the fact

BARBARA WALTERS: I know that by now, you both have fairly thick skins. But when you hear your husband being booed, the president, at a recent basketball game, how do you feel? FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA: It´s part of being president of the United States -- WALTERS: So, it doesn´t get to you? MICHELLE OBAMA: It´s part of the job. You know, I don´t really know what more to say, Barbara, except it´s, you know, it´s a hard job. I am fortunate to be living with a man who has a long view of this job. Who understands that in the case of
President Obama said Friday he’s confident that the troubled healthcare rollout won’t be the final word on how his signature legislative achievement is remembered. "I continue to believe and [I´m] absolutely convinced that at the end of the day, people are going to look back at the work we´ve done to make sure that in this country, you don´t go bankrupt when you get sick, that families have that security," the president said in an interview on ABC’s 20/20. "That is going to be a legacy I am extraordinarily proud of." The HealthCare.Gov website went live on Oct. 1, but has been
Mega-donor and Hollywood figure Haim Saban, a longtime Hillary Clinton backer, on Friday said he’d “pitch in with full might” if she launches a likely 2016 campaign, describing a growing consensus that she is President Barack Obama’s “natural successor.” The remarks to Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper came several months after the media tycoon privately commissioned a movie about Clinton upon her departure from the State Department, featuring international figures including Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Obama singing her praises as Secretary of State. “I hope she will run. She would be a wonderful president,” said Saban, who gave $1 million last
Inside Bright Hope Baptist Church, the luminaries of Philadelphia’s black political world gathered for the funeral of former Representative William H. Gray III in July. Dozens of politicians — city, state and federal — packed the pews as former President Bill Clinton offered a stirring eulogy, quoting Scripture and proudly telling the crowd that he was once described as “the only white man in America who knew all the verses to ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing.’ ” But it was the presence and behavior of Hillary Rodham Clinton that most intrigued former Gov. Edward G. Rendell: During a quiet moment, Mrs.
SACRAMENTO — One longtime critic of federal transportation spending once concluded that it would be less expensive for the government to buy every new transit rider a Jaguar XJ8 than it would be to build certain new rail systems. Unfortunately, California officials may not have realized that the idea of buying people new cars wasn’t a serious proposal as much as a way to illustrate a point about excessive spending. The California Air Resources Board is now embarking on a program that would help poor people buy energy-efficient vehicles. In one scenario posed by the agency, a “voucher” might even pay
Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) said on MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation” Wednesday that when Jesus fed five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish, “he didn’t charge food stamps.” “When Jesus had those five loaves and two fishes, he didn´t charge food stamps. He didn´t ask anybody how much money they had. He fed them because they were hungry, and that´s really where we ought to be,” McDermott said in response to Republican critics of the SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). In September, the House approved a plan by Republicans to cut $39 billion in food stamps over the next
The nation’s view of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, colored by the horrific Benghazi assassination of the U.S. ambassador to Libya on her watch, has suddenly turned upside down, with more now holding an unfavorable opinion of the likely 2016 presidential candidate. A new YouGov/Economist poll found Clinton, whose approval ratings have typically been sky high, with an unfavorable rating of 48 percent, more than the 46 percent who have a favorable opinion of her. The YouGov pollsters said that the change in American attitudes toward Clinton "suggests that negative press surrounding the tragic
President Obama will cast growing income inequality and a decline in economic mobility as a “fundamental threat to the American dream” during a speech Wednesday in Washington. The speech will serve as an early preview for next year’s State of the Union address, according to a White House official, who said Obama would focus much of his energy over the next three years on the issue. “The decisions we make over the next few years will determine whether or not our children will grow up in an America where, if you work hard, you can get ahead,” the official said.
Bill Clinton, the cliché goes, was the first black president, no matter his skin color. That being the case, Barack Obama is not the first black president, or the first African-American president, if you prefer, but the first hippie president. Clinton’s southern background and lifestyle were indeed more typically black, just as Obama’s was more typically hippie. And we’re not just talking about the “Choom gang” here, scarfing “Maui Wowie” on the sands of Oahu. We’re talking about all of it, the whole multi-culti-missing-white-mother-vanished-Kenyan-father-anti-imperialist-America-is-always-the-enemy-and-don’t-you-forget-it-nine-yards. And like most hippie culture as I knew and experienced it, it wasn’t about “peace and love.” Not
During a presentation at the White House in which President Barack Obama touted the benefits of the Affordable Care Act, the president declared that his signature health care reform law was not going to be repealed. This assertion led his administration members, his staff, and audience members to rise from their seats and give the president a standing ovation. Obama said that ACA opponents’ alternative to the health care reform law is to champion repeal and going back to the health care delivery system status quo ante. He specifically cited Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) who he said was asked directly for
A woman has revealed how difficult it is to eat healthily and stay full when living off an average food stamp budget. Melinda Moulton, from Huntington, Vermont, was one of 200 people to take part in the 3Squares Challenge, which saw her living for a week on just $36 worth of food, or around $1.71 a meal. Opting to try and eat as healthily as possible, Ms Moulton resorted to cheap foods like yogurt for breakfast, two handfuls of peanuts for lunch and lentil stew for dinner, all of which left her unsatisfied.´I don´t know how people do it,´ said
Despite first lady Michelle Obama’s healthy living push, American eating habits deteriorated in the first 10 months of 2013, compared with 2012, according to a recent survey. According to a Gallup survey released over the Thanksgiving holiday, the percentage of adults reporting that they ate healthy all day “yesterday” has been consistently lower all 2013 compared to 2012.
CNN host wondered out loud on his show this evening whether the physically unfit Chris Christie could follow the "perfect physical specimen" Barack Obama into the White House: "After the perfect Barack Obama, who´s a perfect physical specimen to many people´s eyes, does it matter?" Morgan asked his guest. "Or is actually somebody very different, someone who´s much more of a regular kind of guy who likes cheeseburgers and beer, but appears to be a straight talker, somebody perhaps more of a straight talker than it appears Barack Obama turned out to be?"
Nobody could accuse the press of ignoring the fiasco-on-a-server that is HealthCare.gov. The Obamacare website’s woes are dominating coverage on the network news, the cable talk shows, the blogs and, of course, high-octane websites like POLITICO. But did the press do a good job of covering the Affordable Care Act before the health care exchanges went online—sort of—on Oct. 1? Were we adequately warned of the troubles that were to come? And now that HealthCare.gov’s problems are headline news, is the coverage of it any better? Sure, one can find a few examples of one news outlet or another warning of impending
MSNBC´s Chris Matthews will interview President Barack Obama this Thursday, the network announced Tuesday. The interview is part of Matthews´ "Hardball College Tour," and will take place at American University in Washington, D.C. According to a news release from MSNBC, Matthews, along with university students, will "discuss a variety of topics with the president including voter suppression, healthcare, the decline of confidence in the government and the overall political dysfunction in Washington." On Monday our colleagues Carrie Budoff Brown and Jonathan Allen reported that the White House is launching a coordinated campaign to return attention to why the Affordable Care Act
The White House on Monday categorically denied a report that President Obama is planning a trip to Iran next year. “There is no truth to this report,” National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden told The Hill in an email. Kuwait´s Arabic-language Al-Jarida is reporting on the front page of its web site that U.S. and Iranian officials are negotiating a presidential visit for the middle of next year. The report cites an unnamed U.S. diplomat and states that a key sticking point to the visit is whether Obama would meet with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Do you pahk the cah in Hahvahd yahd? Do you refer to multiple people as “dey”? Is a jelly doughnut called a “bismark,” or is everything that comes out of a soda fountain called a coke, even if it’s really 7-Up? Do you root for Da Bears? The way we speak, both the phrases we use and the accents that inflect those phrases, come from our upbringings. And in a nation of more than 300 million people, it’s little wonder that those accents vary widely. More than a decade ago, Robert Delaney, a reference associate at Long Island University, put together
