Can We Finally Stop Pretending?
American Thinker, by Jeffrey T. Brown

Every day, it seems, more people who have been screaming their hatred for those who predicted all we see coming true are admitting what we have known all along. The president is incapable of telling a truth, and what conservatives have been predicting for three years about ObamaCare has been entirely correct. Indeed, we haven´t seen anything close to the worst of what is to come, since the system hasn´t even begun to function in its utmost state of disarray and confusion.(snip)So, can we finally stop pretending that the left has a positive plan for the United States? Can we

"We cannot emerge from this darkness and achieve our full potential as a nation until we stop pretending that everything we are told by the left is not a lie."

My nomination for quote of the day. Stopping the pretending means ceasing with the nonsense that the Left has "good intentions" - but pigs will fly before Republicans in office will ever admit that.

Racism was a term originally created by social scientists, who only used it after detailed studies involving data accumulation and evaluation. But then politicians and social activists appropriated it to manipulate the populace. Over the years political activists have redefined racism to include opposition to each new racial preference goal they were seeking.

The problem with the Obamacare is that it is being felt up close and personally by millions of Americans.

If and when the website ever starts running, people will see the next layer of lies, and that one will be even worse. They are being forced to buy the health insurance the elites have determined they need. It´s like having your car or cars taken away and then being forced to buy a new car. The problem is, you can only buy a Cadillac. You might buy a more or less expensive Cadillac, but it must be a Cadillac. And you must buy one, because if you don´t, you will be fined. It´s the Cadillac, or no car at all plus a fine.

Americans generally ignore politics and just try to get on with their lives. But this time they can´t ignore the lie that is Obamacare. And all the spin in the world isn´t going to make this disastrous law anything but a disaster.

Somewhere in Saul Alinski´s "Rules" there is the caveat that says when you lie, cheat and deceive, you shouldn´t be obvious about it. I think obama and his flying monkey circus all missed that one.

We have been on to them for years and the media is FINALLY catching up. Stock up on popcorn for the coming democrat bloodbath.

As long as the MSM lie for Obama, nothing will change.

The MSM is as much responsible for our current situation as the unethical Congressmen that have been placed in power by Party and Lobby money.

Corruption can only be eliminated by transparency and accountability.

The modern left is nothing like the old fashioned liberals who thought they could make a better world. These people only want power. They use government and shame to acquire it and keep it. Their only interest is themselves. More money, more power, more grandeur. Lying is as natural to them as belching.

47% (or certainly a higher number by now) of the people don´t care if they are lied to, as long as the government keeps promising to take care of them. People who would vote for the likes of Grayson, Frankin, Washerwoman, Rangle, Biden, Hank Johnson, et al aren´t looking for someone with integrity or intelligence - just someone promising to put something in their outstretched palm.

Well done.

Can we stop pretending that the president meant to do anything other than destroy a system he has hated since his socialist-influenced youth?

He was chosen by still-unknown benefactors, despite a ghost past, to do exactly that - to knowingly destroy the country he and his Marxist friends abhor.

Can we dispense with the unhinged rants about dog whistles and face up to the fact that conservatives have been right about this all along?

They´d rather die.

Can we finally openly discuss that the left´s own hatred and bigotry are largely to blame for where we are now, not just regarding ObamaCare?

We have known whose fault all of this wanton destruction is all along. It is hopeful that slowly, some others are finally realizing they´ve been had.

They have protected, helped and worshiped an illusion, with pure malice toward those who have loved and fought for this country, and are entirely complicit in the damage now being done to every fiber of our nation.

Right now, it is up to one of two forces to help us take back our country from the duplicitous, dishonest lies of this Administration: The Democrat Party or the American people. Impeachment processes should begin at once. Barring that longshot, the streets should fill with the "disenfranchised", which includes every American on our soil right now.

That said, God is allowing this to play out. He has already answered our prayers by revealing many of the lies. Now, our prayers for bringing America back to its Founding principles need to be redoubled. He is working...

Also, we have placed people in power who can vote themselves perks, money, and more power than was ever intended by the founders. It´s taken time, decades even, but it´s been happening. Now they can create laws for us that they do not have to obey. They have a sense of royal entitlement now.

I believe I have been waiting for this article to be written for 4 years or more.

I almost saw smoke rising from my hard disk as I read it.

I´d love to send the article to some Democrats I know, but I probably won´t because it would be unfair. The Democrat Party has abandoned their former grass-roots Democrats, people like my next-door neighbor who will lend a hand whenever he sees a need, for example. It is now controlled by the Far Left.

I can remember the days when people didn´t choose their friends according to their political party. I do not do so myself, but neither will I hide my political inclinations, and this puts off some Democrats. I think everyone would like to go back to the time when friends, relatives, and Presidents were people we could respect, regardless of political party.

How does the Republican Party establishment choose its presidential candidate? Typically, constitutionalists accuse their establishment rivals of being moderate, risk-averse, stubborn old fools who lack faith in conservative principles. This is a soothing interpretation, as it begins from the hypothesis that the contest between conservatives and the GOP elite is a family feud. But there is another hypothesis -- less soothing, but, at least from an outsider´s bird´s-eye view, more reconcilable with the facts. This hypothesis is that America has reached a stage of progressive soft despotism in which the only important family feud in national politics is between the fundamentally

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Talking Points Memo’s Tom Kludt spotted the following tweet from Robinson, who was in attendance: (Tweet) Robinson, 66, became diocesan bishop of New Hampshire in March 2004. He retired in January 2013 and is currently a senior fellow at the progressive

A Russian fighter jet made multiple, close-range passes near an American warship in the Black Sea for more than 90 minutes Saturday amid escalating tensions in the region, a U.S. military official said Monday. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings. The fighter appeared to be unarmed and never was in danger of

Some time back, whenever a big racial controversy erupted, I trained myself into the habit of reading about it at FoxNews.com, just for the unbelievable comment threads. Let’s put it this way: If my friends and I went out to a bar and started playing a “let’s write the racist FoxNews.com comment thread” drinking game, our efforts couldn’t begin to approach what I read there.I wasn’t alone. Liberal websites started feasting on these threads. And so, a couple of years ago, Ailes & Co. got wise. Stories about race were, at least in my disheartened experience, closed to comments.
