A Lie From Day One
The American Spectator, by Betsy McCaughey

Original Article

Posted By:SpeedMaster, 10/30/2013 6:25:37 AM

From Florida to California, consumers are getting notices their health plans are cancelled. They were promised they could keep their plan if they liked it. That was a lie. They’ve been duped and dropped. The liar is none other than the President of the United States. On June 15, 2009, President Obama told a town hall meeting that “No matter how we reform healthcare, we will keep this promise…. if you like your healthcare plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what.”

Okay, it looks like the consensus is that the President, his administration and the democrat party knowingly lied to the American people solely for the purpose of pushing this monstrosity down our throats. The question that begs to be asked and answered is why must we continue down this destructive path when it is evident that people are being harmed. The plan does not work and it is a train wreck. Is propping up Obama´s socialist agenda more important than the health and well being of the citizens of this country? Republicans, the time for a huge push back is now. People want solutions to this nightmare, give it to them. You have had years to put together reforms that will work. Where are you?

It would be good to keep one thing in mind: when Obama is exposed as a liar, Democrats do not feel ashamed - Democrats smirk.

Obama´s Unaffordable Care was an intentional lie - from all of them - from the beginning, and they have no reason to expect that Republicans will ever repeal it.

We can scream "Obama lied!" all we want - they already know. Smirk.

If the situation were reversed the Dems would not be proposing better legislation. They would be rioting in the streets and burning down the cities.

I respectfully propose that we get mad and get ugly and put these criminals on notice that we will not be bullied. Further, we must demonstrate a willingness to risk our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

A few things:

#3 -- Go check out H.R. 2300. . .it was the GOP alternative to Obamacare when it was passed and it´s still the GOP alternative to Obamacare. It allows the consumer to pick and choose the types of coverage they want/need, and it keeps the gov´t from raiding Medicare to do it. It also covers pre-existing conditions. Check it out and don´t believe the media lie that the GOP is empty-handed.

Regarding this: Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a chief architect of the law, told Megyn Kelly on Fox News’ Kelly Files last Friday night that “it’s not the law doing it, that’s the insurance company deciding for business reasons.” Well, this has been the plan all along and was the plan in the beginning -- DEMONIZE the Health Insurance companies. Make it their fault and in the process, break the system and push many of them out of business because they absolutely cannot compete in this environment.

Finally, regarding Medicare Advantage -- this was actually created by the evil George W. Bush and the GOP House and Senate. It was the ONLY part of Medicare operating in the BLACK because it allowed competition and choice. Naturally, this is the part that the Dems needed to gut in order to pay for Obamacare. Heaven forbid they allow a capitalist-based component to gov´t provided health care to survive.

Funny how we need to clarify "intentional lie." Perhaps that´s Bush´s fault since when he was wrong along with just about everybody else on planer earth, it was a "lie." Hope Webster is keeping up with the new definitions.

Two things we must do:

1) Immediately fight the next battle which will be to convert to the full blown single payer system they wanted from day 1. The Fascist façade of a "market" failed so time for communism to swoop in to the rescue.

2) Leverage this in conversation as we attempt to educate as an example of the ends justify the means radical playbook, which should lead to openness to discuss what else he may have been lying about. Reflect again on the brochure hawking his literary prowess using his image and name indicating he was from Kenya. Willing to say anything to promote himself unless of course that´s true. His fabrication of characters in his biography. The "Just a guy in the neighborhood" was a demonstrable lie. He´s a 24 carrot phony. Things that got glossed over such as multiple SSN´s

As we all know, this anti-Constitutional monstrosity could never have been accomplished without the help of the MSM. They elected him, covered for him in numerous ways, did not properly vet him, allowed his numerous lies without questions, practically ignored Obama´s many scandals, and slandered the right day and night. They did not allowed a lie, failure, scandal or distortion to stick on him. It will be hard to blame Obama´s debacle on Cruz , the Tea Party or the Republicans but they, always, seem to find a way.

The MSM is the nations biggest traitor, in my humble opinion, and has been for years.

There are private medical insurance pools already. One that I know of is a Christian pool where everyone pays a portion of members medical care costs when rendered by the doctor or hospital with payments made out directly to the service provider. No actual monthly fees.

#25 the Beaches of Normandy is not the comparison I would ever have attributed to the Nazi-like Obama administration/Liberals/Dems/Socialists. Obamacare is more like the Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor.

With the new information coming out that the NSA spied on our Allies, I hope and pray that there will be an Allied attack on this Obamanation. Someone is going to have to liberate We The People from what is going to be a massive concentration camp if ACA fully kicks in.

I, for one, will join the underground resistance as many of the French did after the Germans marched into Paris. Funny, I always pictured myself as being part of an undergroud-type of resistance if worst came to worst. Of course I was a lot younger when I formed that mental picture. But there are still things we wise, older people can do.

Our main hope right now is the Conservatism of the Southern states in the U.S. The North is basically gone because the cities like Detroit, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Phildelphia, NY City, Boston, - almost any northern city you can name is lost for now. The best hope is the states that won´t comply with Obamacare.

Let´s just pray that Obama (our Napoleon) will soon meet his Waterloo.

Betsy McCaughey has been tireless on this from the beginning, and only FOX has had her on regularly. There are others, too, whom FOX has given opportunity to inform the public.

Getting the truth out: this is the main reason the regime can not tolerate FOX. This fact alone ought to disturb the so-called "Liberals" in the Democrat/Leftist (Dem/Lefties) Party.

But as with all wicked Leftists, the End Justifies the Means.

Leftism has proven to be the LEAST humane political system ever devised, even exceeding Fascism, to the tune of more than 100 million victims.

As for finding ways around this hideous law, how long before Doctors who resist are not allowed to admit patients to hospital(this is already sort of happening: 10 hospitals out of 26 here in NH are not included under the coverage offered by the only, ONLY, insurance company in the "exchange"), or order tests, blood-work, treatments?

No. This law must be overturned.

We need to call our Reps and our Senators. Call those who are doing the right thing to thank them. Call the regime toadies and tell them they are betraying the People (doesn´t do much good, i admit. tried this with Shea-Porter and Shaheen before bill was "passed").

I see they (those administration and congress people who passed Obamacare and are now pushing it) are blaming the insurance companies for changing their policies and thereby invalidating the grandfather clause (any small change and you cannot keep your policy). So they say people are losing their policies because of the insurance companies not because of Obamacare. That´s a very devious and clever ruse. They wrote the law so that cancelled policies would have to be replaced with feature laden (many useless depending on the individual), standard, one size fits all very expensive plans. What insurance company is going to resist the opportunity to upsell their customers to policies with a bigger profit? The grandfathering clause is clearly written with this in mind (an Alinsky rule: use the rules of your opponent, in this case the basic profit motive of free market businesses, against them). The government gets everyone on Obamacare whether they want to keep their old plan or not and the evil insurance companies get the blame for the cancelled policies. Most policy holders who get cancelled will not bother to figure out the insurance companies were lured into doing what they did by the Obamacare law. Next step: point out how evil those money grubbing insurance companies are and replace them with the loving and caring federal government. Single payer and socialist revolution accomplished.

I plan to engage in active civil disobedience.

My individual has not been cancelled (yet) but I expect that notification sooner or later. I took out my policy only last March, so I doubt I´ll be considered ´´grandfathered in´´ -- yet that´s the only reason I took it out. I´ve been paying on it ever since, faithfully, but if they drop me, I´m out completely.

Nevada has its own state exchanges and I won´t do that either. I won´t give them my personal health OR financial information, and they´ll have to do whatever they plan to do to those of us who participate in DETERMINED RESISTANCE of this monstrous incursion into our private and personal daily lives! I may even have to divorce my husband of 27 years, to protect him, his workplace, and the health policy his employer pays the premium on for him.

This has gone beyond ridiculous. They are committing CRIMES AGAINST US on a daily basis, and this is one I refuse to allow further.

Come get me, feds. I´m a grandma of 6, and I´ll have local TV standing by when you take me away in cuffs. Or I´ll bring them to the courthouse. I´ll have my say, as all should.

A private pool is a good idea, but I´m fed completely up to here with the entire CONCEPT of insurance, period. I´ll negotiate and pay my doctors with cash, and when I need hospital care, I´ll do likewise. Not everybody gets catastrophic disease that costs them a fortune. Their Death Panel is panting and drooling until they can start letting the elderly die off because they (WE!) just aren´t ´´contributing´´ and worth it any more. I´ll likely be one of those.

But I´m done being afraid of this regime. DONE. I have no real faith in our electeds - not even the good ones. They´re limited in what they can do, or will BE ALLOWED to do.

(We´ve all seen apocolypse movies and TV, where small groups gather around a burning trash barrel, dressed in rags with dirty faces and snaggled hair.... I see that coming for us - but it will be the elderly around those barrels, fighting for their lives against their own younger generations who just don´t want to pay for us any more.)

Did you know it is a felony to lie about insurance? I have to take ethics classes every year to keep my insurance license. You can go to jail for un-ethical behavior. Well if the government is going to be in the insurance business...then they must behave ethically. Or, go to prison. If you lie about an insurance policy that is a huge crime in Insurance.
Where is the outrage commissioners of insurance in the states.

#14, you are right. The left´s intention all along was to demonize the insurance companies. But the insurance companies are only reacting to the government regulations and the requirements under Obamacare. As long as we keep it clear (and voice our concerns loudly) that the ACA requires that many of the low cost insurance plans be eliminated and that regulations require costs to skyrocket, we will keep the truth in the spotlight and stop the lefties from convincing folks otherwise.

Oh .... just wait. This is just the beginning. This is nothing. This is just quibbling over health insurance plans and doctor choice. Wait until the full horror of this nightmare begins to unfold.

Remember, Zeke Emanuel wants to curtail the pace of medical advancement because it extends too many lives. And John Holdren, Obama´s science czar, is into involuntary population control. And remember Cass Sunstein´s article about Statistical Life Years that advocates denial of treatment for seniors?

It is beginning to seep into the public consciousness that the function of Obamacare is to drive America to a single-payer plan. Fine. But single-payer itself is only a means of securing control. It is not the goal. The endgame is population reduction.

Wait until the Death Panel is fully functioning and you find that you can´t get life-saving medical treatment no matter who is willing to pay for it, and anyone providing it to you will be prosecuted. Remember Obama´s comment about sending you home with a pain pill? Say goodbye now to anyone over 60 (or whatever age they decide to make it).

He didn´t lie. The government didn´t take a health plan away. The insurance companies just thought it was too expensive to match the government standards so they dropped people.

Some insurance companies stuck around and tripled/quintupled peoples premiums. The discussion is related to those companies that offer plans. No one is forcing you to leave those plans. No one is taking those plans away. If you got dropped from insurance your issue is with the insurance company not with the government.

At least that´s how I think this will be spun...

Sorry for another post, but my fertile brain isn´t agreeing to be turned off right now. Our very learned Ldotters can "read the stitches on a fast ball" better than any news anchor I´ve ever heard or watched.

#49 jolted me with his/her comment:

It crossed my mind that this monstrosity could be the means of eliminating not just old people, or sick people, but people of a certain religious faith that the regime doesn´t approve of; or it could be "unapproved" people of a certain non-skin color or heritage whether or not they are sick, but just old. Americans with an English, Irish, Scottish, French, or German background may be on the list of the unapproved.

It hasn´t happened yet in America, but it did happen in 1933 until 1945. I don´t think that is why NSA spied on Angela Merkel, though.

#49 - Regarding the death panels, if we´re lucky, they´ll start with George Soros.

But seriously, I know I posted on this yesterday, but the end goal indeed is single-payer. If you listen to all the leftie commentators they are saying it, in their out loud voice. I´ve heard more than say, "well, this isn´t rolling out well, but I advocated a single-payer system anyway." Although, they don´t even understand how stupid that sounds when they can´t even roll out a system that´s designed to sign up a few million people.

But yes, the plan is to literally BREAK the system we have...and break it so badly it cannot be fixed so that the only alternative is a single-payer system. Lord help us all if we don´t turn the tide in 2014.

As far as I know, insurance companies never made their money from premiums. They made their money from investments. In the 70´s it was real estate. Since premiums have gone up so much; it makes me wonder if the government is the real thug and who is actually getting this money.

Three years before Matt Drudge changed the world and how news would be consumed, President Bill Clinton´s White House feared that the Internet was allowing average citizens, especially conservatives, to bypass legacy gatekeepers and access information that had previously been denied to them by the mainstream press. The infamous 1995 "conspiracy commerce memo" tried to demonize and discredit alternative media outlets on the right to mainstream media organizations and D.C. establishment figures.

The recent standoff at the Bundy ranch in Nevada has taught us many lessons, but the most important one was missed. We learned that the government will do anything to private citizens in order to grab land and private property either under the guise of protecting an “endangered” desert tortoise that is actually overpopulated, or getting rid of “feral” and destructive “trespassing cattle” grazing the land for generations, cattle that are in the way of developing a $5 billion Chinese solar panel plant (ENN), and the exploitation of rare earth elements in the larger adjacent area.

Scientists believe that over the last two billion years or so, there have been as many as seventeen times that Earth has experienced an Ice Age. They suspect an Ice Age when they see shifts in geological formations that are so severe that the only explanation appears to be glaciers forming and moving large quantities of land from one part of the continent to another part. Each Ice Age is estimated to have lasted for at least 100,000 years, with some lasting millions of years. Each was eventually followed by a period of gradual warming, resulting in the glaciers melting and

One of the hallmarks of the Obama administration is that it is among the most corrupt administrations in living memory. The degree of corruption and thuggery to which many administration members have stooped would make even Boss Tweed of Tammany Hall fame blush. But what’s truly remarkable about the Obama administration is that its corruption is so unabashed. Among the most corrupt functionaries of the Obama regime is Attorney General Eric Holder, who appears to be Obama’s alter ego and enforcer. From day one he let America know that he held most of its citizens in contempt by proclaiming that the American

Issa fired off a personal letter at Cummings, claiming that he and his attorneys were frustrating the fact-finding mission of the Oversight Committee. A bombshell revelation has brought the IRS scandal to a new level. Judicial Watch has released internal IRS communications revealing that former Tax Exempt Organizations director Lois Lerner was in contact with the Department of Justice (DOJ) regarding whether it was possible to criminally prosecute tax-exempt groups she believed had “lied” about their political activity. Judicial Watch obtained the documents by successfully filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the IRS in October 2013, following the agency’s stonewall of four FOIA requests dating back to the previous May.

The ultimate party litmus test: given a veto-proof legislature, will Republicans finally start to reduce the scope and size of government? It looks like the answer is no. In 2013, North Carolina was just one of 25 states where Republican governors were given historic opportunity to govern alongside Republican-controlled legislatures. Despite conservative voters’ best hopes, any sensible mandate to restore individual and economic freedom flew out the window when the FY 2013-14 budget was approved, reauthorizing the formerly Democratic state’s blueprint budget with a tragic 2.0-percent increase in general fund appropriations.

The GOP is operating on the belief that everyone is on board, simply because insiders have officially decreed it to be so. However, the grassroots in the USA remains unconvinced. Worse, the Republican establishment has no plan for truly healing the actual wounds. Elites want to avoid change more fervently than they do want to win elections. The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million.
