Obama accused of misleading voters
on Benghazi, Obamacare, Merkel.
There´s a pattern here

Telegraph [UK], by Tim Stanley

We all expect presidents to be "economical with the truth" at least once in their career--but in the last few days Barack Obama´s administration has been charged with telling no fewer than three fibs on three separate subjects. [Snip] 1. CBS says that the Obama administration knew all along that what happened at Benghazi was a planned terrorist attack. Its 60 Minutes news show discovered two security advisers who say that months before the attack on the US embassy, al-Qaeda threatened to assault the Red Cross, the British and then the Americans. And--surprise, surprise--they went on to assault the Red

All Obama does when he´s under fire for something is act like there´s nothing wrong. "What´s all this shoutin´ about?" And then just for good measure,he throws in a couple new sophmoric lies.

What´s really amazing is that it´s taken 5 years for people to start catching on to this clown.I knew he was bad news when he made his 1st big appearance at Kerry´s convention in 2004.People that give these dreamworld speeches and dubious promises are alway out of touch with reality.

Shame on you, Mr. Stanley. You cantered right up to the fence and then balked.

"Fibs," "misled," "fudging," and their ilk are word for children and cowards. They can easily be replaced by "lies," "lied," and "lying" -- three words that do not appear anywhere in this otherwise spot-on report.

Obama does what he does best, he loves him some Obama. Therefore, everything he does is sifted through that truth. He has believed the hype that the progressives have fed him all his life. He really believed he was the one we´ve been waiting for. He bought it hook, line and sinker. However, his incompetence has caught up with him and all he has are lies to offers and he does so without fear of confrontation. This is what enables him to continue in this behavior. If he were confronted on a daily basis, you would see a meltdown of epic proportions. He is a fragile little flower and the media is committed to caring for him. The day they take the gloves off, his house of cards collapses.

Very excellent idea, #15. Call a chosen Senator or Rep and suggest the creation of a special Lemon Law application for overturning the ACA abomination.

#20, discussing things with an acquaintance, telling her about --at that time new news-- Fast & Furious, Solyndra and other issues, she said she "still had faith in him." Why? i asked. "I don´t know. I just do." This is the blind faith of Low Information Voters.

#27 -- I am aware of British libel laws (and their corresponding venue-shopping by prospective plaintiffs), and of the damning weight of the word "liar." I´d give a lot to know whether Stanley´s piece, as submitted, called a spade a spade, and the Torygraph´s legal beagles wussified it. I would suspect so, given the absence of the standard "ask-it-as-a-question" dodge ("Did Obama mislead voters?" and so on).

That said, can anyone seriously think that -- even bearing the burden of proof -- Stanley would have any trouble proving his case?

About Benghazi I still want to know, if the US military was incapable of coming to the aid of Chris Stevens and his people, who gave the order for the CIA group to STAND DOWN! After all, they were only blocks away. If they had been allowed to respond immediately, rather than being repeatedly delayed, our ambassador and his people could very well be alive today.

A huge fire in Gibraltar, caused by a fuel tank explosion, shut down many online betting services and disrupted gamblers during a busy day of sport. Residences near the blaze were evactuated following the fire, which broke out at around 1pm local time. The explosion occurred at Gibraltar´s main power station and the fire shut down much of the area´s electricity. Thousands of residents and tourists were left without power while firefighters battled the blaze. The fire was eventually brought under control at around 4.30pm local time. Immortalised in Alfred, Lord Tennyson’s poem about the “valley of death”, the Charge of the Light Brigade is remembered as one of the most glorious defeats in British history. The documents overturn much of the established wisdom of the battle and provide clues as to how the calamitous attack, during the Battle of Balaclava, in the Crimean War, came to be accidentally launched. [Snip] The charge saw the light cavalry mount an assault into a valley flanked, on three sides, by Russians. Lord Raglan, overall commander of the British forces, had intended to send the Light Brigade to pursue and

What stops the Earth from looking like Pluto is energy from the Sun. The quantity and type of energy coming from the Sun varies over cycles that range up to 1,500 years long. The cycle we can see with our own eyes, in our own lifetimes, is the sunspot cycle that is normally eleven years long. [Snip] It has become established—for those who are willing to look at the evidence—that climate will very closely follow our colder Sun. Climate is no longer a mystery to us. We can predict forward up to two solar cycles, that is about twenty-two years into the future. When models of solar activity are further refined, we may be able to predict climate

Of all the many absurdities of the great climate change non-crisis which has been pointlessly obsessing our planet this last three or four decades, surely the most egregious is this: global warming is good. No really, it is. As a few bold heretics--such as Australian geologist Ian Plimer in his book Heaven And Earth--have long been trying to tell anyone prepared to listen, the human species is designed for warmth not cold. Ice ages are something we should naturally fear; warming periods are something which for which we should yearn. All the historical evidence confirms this--that periods of warming

At least six Birmingham schools accused of harbouring a Trojan horse plot run by Muslim fundamentalists will be placed under special measures by Ofsted. The action is understandable. The unsubtle attempts to insert Islamist ideas--representing an extremist, politicised form of Islam--into the curriculum of those schools makes for frightening reading. Equally unsettling was the liberal establishment’s failure to correct it. According to a special report by the Education Funding Agency, radical Muslims have tried to take control of teaching by first taking control of school governorships. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal

The Clintons had a busy night of celebrations after Chelsea announced she and husband Marc Mezvinsky are expecting a baby. Bill joined “House of Cards” star Kevin Spacey at the Revlon Rainforest Fund Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall Thursday, joking of Spacey’s Machiavellian character, “When I was president people accused me of murder all the time, made a show of investigating. Spacey’s president for 15 minutes and he gets away with murder.” Spacey, who sang during the event with Sting, Stephen Stills and James Taylor, also showed off his Johnny Carson impression, taking a swipe at the coverage of Flight

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Friday stood by his statement regarding embattled Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, saying on KSNV’s What’s Your Point?, “If anyone thinks by any figment of their imagination that what happened up there last week was just people rallying to somebody that was oppressed, 600 people came in armed. They had practiced. They had maneuvered.” Reid continued, “They knew what they were doing. They set up snipers in strategic locations with sniper rifles. They had assault weapons. They had automatic weapons. And they boasted about the fact that they put women and children, in fact one
