Trenton — Gov. Chris Christie says he understands victims´ frustrations a year after Hurricane Sandy but maintains that his administration isn´t to blame for delays in aid reaching victims. In an interview with The Associated Press as the anniversary of the Oct. 29 megastorm approaches, Christie blamed Congress, which took three months to approve a $50.7 billion relief package for the region, and a thicket of red tape put in place to prevent the type of fraud that occurred after Hurricane Katrina. Blame the company in charge of distributing funds... the same one that set up the program for Obamacare. pffft!

Apparently the gov. spends as much time vetting qualifications as the voters do on candidates

It´s understandable that it takes a long while for Sargent Sausage to get from Trenton to the disaster areas - - because he has to stop at all the Weigh Stations on the NJ Turnpike.

His embrace of Obama -disgusting.
Now we know Michelle´s BFF another AA incompetent from Princeton is Senior vp at cgi-foreign corrupt firm in charge of both Obamacare and Sandy relief.
Where did the money go -offshore bank accounts for Michelle and her friends?
678 million for a website would have been better spent to give every American man, woman and child 2 million to spend, save, invest, pay down debt.

Did you see the article that said that CGI Federal (The Website company) was given 2 Billion of the money for the Sandy victims? I bet that it was a no-bid contract, again to Michelle´s classmate and sorority sister!

One year later, "The Associated Press revealed Tuesday that a mere $700 million of the $60 billion federal aid package – 1.2 percent of the total funds – has been given to victims of super storm Sandy.

http://dailycaller.com/2013/10/26/company-behind-obamacare-website-in-charge-of-nearly-2-billion-in-sandy-relief/

This is an outrageous violation of fiduciary responsibility and crony capitalism. Where is the press on this?

It´s simple. The Obama´s are guilty of massive cronyism. Major contracts are given out on a no-bid basis to companies where their "friends" have a vested interest. The major contractor used for the Obamacare site is the same company that is handing out the "Hurricane Sandy" relief dollars in the billions. It is so simple, and corrupt, that it stares you in the face and whacks you over the head. It´s just Chicago style politics on the Potomac. and in this case, the company is headquartered in Canada. So much for Obama helping Americans get jobs.
Just my own opinion.

Why is Christie to blame for this while the present president gets off scot free? I guess he is the only Republican close to the disaster. The Dem governor of Louisiana who wrung her hands and dithered while the storm approached, and the Dem mayor who left all those school buses to be swamped with water were left relatively unscathed by the media while they beat up on GW Bush. Now it is just the opposite. Of course, the party affiliations are opposite also.

Once a five-star hotel and luxury apartment block, the 45-storey so-called “Tower of David” skyscraper that looms over the Venezuelan capital of Caracas is now home to 3,000 people, and thought to be the world’s tallest slum. Washington — The U.S. Energy Department said Wednesday that it is reviving a long-dormant $25 billion auto loan program and is reaching out to auto suppliers to make new loans. Created by Congress in 2007, the Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing Program hasn’t made a new loan since March 2011 and came under scrutiny after two of five companies that received loans halted production. The auto loan program was created to spur the production of more fuel-efficient vehicles. Since 2009, the program awarded $8.4 billion in loans and has about $16 billion in unused funding. With Chris Christie in deep trouble, Republican poobahs are reportedly looking to Jeb Bush to save their party in 2016. The former two-term governor of Florida speaks fluent Spanish, is a convert to Catholicism, and has high name recognition. Jeb could raise millions of dollars over night by just saying “yes” to running. Despite all this, there are strong reasons Republicans should say no to him. 1. His last name is poison. Let’s face it, if Jeb Bush had the last name of Something Else he would have already run for president in 2008 or 2012. According to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll registered voters were asked if they would definitely NOT vote for Jeb Bush and 50 percent said they would not.

The human kindling that makes up the flammable Republican base may soon burst into flames, again. Portions of that excitable cohort are looking — some with fawn-like eyes filled with hurt, others with sparks shooting from eyes narrowed like gun slits — askance at other Republicans urging Jeb Bush to seek the 2016 presidential nomination. A candidacy by Florida’s former governor would be desirable.
