Former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton spoke to a large crowd at the University at Buffalo Wednesday night, as part of the university´s Distinguished Speaker Series, and was heckled. "Benghazi, you let them die," the heckler shouted. "We have to be willing to come together as citizens to focus on the kind of future we want, which doesn´t include yelling. It includes sitting down and talking with one another," Clinton said in response to the heckler to huge applause from the audience. "Perhaps you could describe for us what the ideal candidate for the president would look like," Clinton

I´m surprised she didn´t scold the heckler to use ´´inside voice´´. Cannot imagine this shrew as POTUS - then again, I had a hard time imagining a Marxist as POTUS. I guess this means I´m not imaginative enough...

Notice that she didn´t respond to the heckler´s comment despite the audience applause. She steered the conversation away and in doing so showed what a simpleton she really is. The comment "Perhaps you could describe for us what the ideal candidate for the president would look like," was not a request about the appearance of a potential condidate. It was a question about what she thought would make a good president. Her response that she didn´t really care what the candidate looked like shows that subtlety and nuance is lost on her. She is a superficial and transparent egotist.
"I have to say, I’m not as interested as to what the candidate looks like as what the candidate stands for -- what the candidate really believes America needs to be for the future, particularly for young people," she answered. (WIVB-TV, Buffalo)
This is an excellent answer.......for a beauty pageant.
Please, please, anyone within the sound of her voice, heckle her! Show her what difference at this point it makes to Americans. Avenge these four dead Americans at every opportunity. She needs to be held accountable.
Before the presidency (2 terms no less) of the steaming pile, obama, I would have said that there was no person on the national scene who was less fit to lead than he. Well, I would have been wrong. This blighted disease of a woman should be in prison for her MANY sins against the public.
When somebody like Hillary starts losing people from liberal NY institutions, she is on a very slippery slope.
I guess she has forgotten her statements about dissent was patriotic, and it was her duty as a Senator to speak truth to the President, etc. I hope this issue sinks her just as deep as that bridge did for Teddy Kennedy.
Everywhere she goes, she should be asked about Benghazi. Not only did she deny them aid repeatedly, she is in bed with the Muslim Brotherhood through their operative Huma Abedin. Hilary is Unfit for Office as CIC or POTUS. She began her career behaving unethically as a lawyer for Watergate, failed her DC Bar and was refused a Letter of recommendation. She continued with Whitewater, Rose billing records, harassing women abused by Bill-especially Juannita Broderick, hilarycare and every sleazy thing you can imagine. Her "success" is based upon corruption. The Bushes rehabilitated her Meal Ticket Bill-to their shame and Americas detriment. Benghazi-her Legacy.
Through NRO’s daily Web Briefing, I read and enjoyed Bruce Thornton’s excellent essay in Defining Ideas, “Why Should We Study War?” I’d urge you to read the entire essay, but I was particularly struck by the truth of this passage: Those before us knew that for all its horrors and misery––which our ancestors acknowledged as much as its glories––war is when the best that men are capable of is manifested, and great deeds worthy of memory are achieved. And they understood as well that the commemoration of these deeds by men “who knew their duty and had the courage to do
RUSH: Well, here we are, folks, on November 27th, and the real turkey is nowhere near ready yet. That´s the Obamacare website. In fact, it isn´t gonna be ready on November 30th. They said it would be. They said it´d be fixed and then they said it would be ready for 80% load, and now they are saying that it´s not gonna be ready on November 30th, and Kathleen Sebelius is now saying that she never said it would be. So we just dreamed all that. It´s kind of like Mark Halperin of TIME Magazine. One of these guys that
The new U.S.-Afghanistan security agreement adds restrictions on already bureaucratic rules of engagement for American troops by making Afghan dwellings virtual safe havens for the enemy, combat veterans say. The rules of engagement place the burden on U.S. air and ground troops to confirm with certainty that a Taliban fighter is armed before they can fire — even if they are 100 percent sure the target is the enemy. In some cases, aerial gunships have been denied permission to fire even though they reported that targets on the move were armed. The proposed Bilateral Security Agreement announced Wednesday by Afghan
The US and Hezbollah are in secret indirect talks managed by London dealing with the fight against al-Qaida, regional stability and other Lebanese political issues. Senior British diplomatic sources, quoted in a report in Kuwait newspaper al-Rai on Wednesday, said British diplomats are holding discussions with leaders of the Lebanese organization and transferring the information to the Americans. The discussions “are aimed at keeping tabs on the changes in the region and the world, and prepare for the upcoming return of Iran to the international community,” according to diplomatic sources in Washington. Because the US, unlike the UK, recognizes both the political and
RUSH: It´s obvious that the Regime is using today as a massive news and document dump. They´re figuring that nobody is gonna hear the news today that the mandatory enrollment for small business in Obamacare has been delayed now until November of next year. So while the Organizing for Action faction is out trying to corrupt every Thanksgiving dinner this season tomorrow by proselytizing and propagandizing in Obamacare, they´re not gonna tell you about all the bad news and all of the delays and all of the incompetence and the mismanagement, whatever else, the political manipulations. You know darn well Obama´s
RUSH: You know, the pope, Pope Francis -- this is astounding -- has issued an official papal proclamation, and it´s sad. It´s actually unbelievable. The pope has written, in part, about the utter evils of capitalism. And I have to tell you, I´ve got parts of it here I can share with you. It´s sad because this pope makes it very clear he doesn´t know what he´s talking about when it comes to capitalism and socialism and so forth. Wait ´til you hear it. BREAK TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I was doing show prep last night, usual routine, and I ran across this --
"We´re probably heading for a turning point in the health reform discussion," writes former Enron adviser Paul Krugman. No, he doesn´t see congressional Democrats as revolting imminently against ObamaCare. Quite the opposite: "The facts on the ground are getting better by the day, and Obamacare will turn into a Benghazi-type affair where Republicans are screaming about a scandal nobody else cares about." One is tempted to observe that if Benghazi is the standard of success, ObamaCare must be an even worse disaster than its harshest critics imagine. But that´s not Krugman´s meaning. His analogy has nothing to do with "the facts
According to a report in The New York Post, President Barack Obama allegedly responded to a letter he received from a Texas school teacher who was concerned about the negative impact the Affordable Care Act may have on the president’s political position by referring to conservative Americans as “tea baggers.” “This bill has caused such a divisive, derisive and toxic environment,” wrote Thomas Ritter, a fifth-grade teacher at Sally B. Elliott Elementary in Irving, Texas. “The reality is that any citizen that disagrees with your administration is targeted and ridiculed.” Ritter added that he was afraid to write the president in the
At a recent book tour stop for her best-selling book, Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin drew a blue-collar crowd consisting of all races in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. As can be seen in the video below, many who came to see Palin said they identified with her because she has a son in the military. Others said they loved her "values" and how she "stands by them." An active duty soldier said that Palin "speaks the truth" and is "straight-forward." "And I like that so much," the active duty soldier said. Another gentleman said
CancelCare: Dismissed as anecdotal exceptions, as many as 80 million people with employer health plans, like a Virginia cancer patient, now find their coverage being canceled because it doesn´t comply with ObamaCare. Debra Fishericks, who has been working for the past 10 years at Atkinson Realty in Virginia Beach, has been frantically scouring Healthcare.gov for a plan that fits her. But she´s finding, like so many others, that premiums and plans like the one she had are out of her price range. Fishericks is battling kidney cancer, and while one of the benefits of ObamaCare was supposed to be that people with pre-existing
Trust: We know ObamaCare was sold on a lie, but what about the Obama presidency itself? Rumors that Obama´s violent leftist pal Bill Ayers ghostwrote the memoir that launched his political career may actually be true. Obama has always claimed authorship of his bestselling "Dreams From My Father." But Ayers is telling a different story. In promoting his new book, "Public Enemy," Ayers´ publisher, Beacon Press, has written a blurb on Amazon.com that says Ayers "finally ´confesses´ that he did write ´Dreams From My Father.´" The boast appears in other promotions for the book as well. For instance, a Baltimore bookstore — Red
Appeasement: On both uranium and plutonium the terrorist state of Iran can continue to work toward nuclear weaponry. Except for that minor quibble, the so-called "Joint Plan of Action" is great. It takes something big to distract the nation from ObamaCare, the IRS scandal, Benghazi, and the Census Bureau moonlighting as Obama campaign aides — like a pact getting Islamofascist Iran to give up its nuclear program. But that is not what was announced last weekend to much hoopla in both Geneva by Secretary of State John Kerry and in Washington by President Obama. It might be big in terms of appeasement, but
Everyone has a favorite recipe, find it in the back of a kitchen drawer, call your mom, see if you still have that dog-eared copy of the Joy of Cooking. It´s on the back of an old electric bill stuck inside the back cover. Find it and post it for all your LCom friends. If you have a special request let us know, someone can find it somewhere.
Conservatives have for years attempted to put our finger upon precisely why Barack Obama strikes us as queer in precisely the way he does. There is an alienness about him, which in the fever swamps is expressed in all that ridiculous Kenyan-Muslim hokum, but his citizen-of-the-world shtick is strictly sophomore year — the great globalist does not even speak a foreign language. Obama has been called many things — radical, socialist — labels that may have him dead to rights at the phylum level but not down at his genus or species. His social circle includes an alarming number of
Those who wrote the PPACA legislation were much more brilliant than most conservatives have given them credit for. They have hidden a landmine in the way it all works that will ensure an eventual takeover of the entire health care industry by the government. Let me first clarify my professional interest. I have been a vendor of software and services to both insurance companies and providers, and therefore have a deep understanding of the health care industry and what the ACA will do to it. I do not work for any insurance companies or medical providers, nor do I own stock
Iranian officials say that the White House is misleading the public about the details of an interim nuclear agreement reached over the weekend in Geneva. Iran and Western nations including the United States came to an agreement on the framework for an interim deal late Saturday night in Geneva. The deal has yet to be implemented. The White House released a multi-page fact sheet containing details of the draft agreement shortly after the deal was announced. However, Iranian foreign ministry official on Tuesday rejected the White House’s version of the deal as “invalid” and accused Washington
Pure, sweet, schadenfreudean goodness from Politico. See now why I think there’s a chance that those new Iran sanctions pass with veto-proof majorities? Turns out, after three years and a half years of development plus two months of frantic triage to Healthcare.gov, Democrats are finally ready to hold the White House accountable for its giant O-Care fark-up. A little. “The president and his team have repeatedly assured us that the system will be working by Dec. 1. That’s when I start looking at what we have to do in our oversight function to hold the administration accountable for making it work.” Rep.
It is no secret that the Democrat party is hemorrhaging support in the wake of the disastrous ObamaCare rollout. As the Administration warns that the website will not be fully operational at the end of November, nervous Democrats are expected to try to separate themselves from Obama and his flawed health program. Politico´s Mike Allen was on MSNBC this week, saying that they are "hearing" that Democrats will be very aggressive against the program in Congressional oversight hearings next week. If Politico is "hearing" something, it means Democrats are trying to leak the information to the public ahead of the
Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman (R) left the door open to another presidential run during a Monday panel in New Hampshire. Asked whether he ever thinks about running again — Huntsman dropped out of the 2012 Republican primary after finishing third in New Hampshire — he suggested he hadn´t ruled out the option. He closed a long response to the question, posed at Saint Anselm College, by saying: "Which is a long way of saying that I love public service. I´ll always be committed to public service. And as an itinerant public servant, from time to time, it´s hard to know where
SANFORD, Fla. — George Zimmerman had five guns and more than 100 rounds of ammunition with him when deputies arrested him earlier this month on domestic violence charges, according to court documents released Tuesday. A search warrant made public by the Seminole County court clerk shows that Zimmerman had a 12-gauge shotgun, an AR-15 assault rifle and three handguns when he was arrested Nov. 18 at his girlfriend´s house. The girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, told deputies that Zimmerman pointed a shotgun at her during an argument and also used it to smash her coffee table. Zimmerman is free on $9,000 bail on charges
"Trust is like virginity: once you lose it it´s hard to get it back." So spoke pollster John Zogby, commenting on his latest poll on President Obama´s handling of his office. Quoted by Paul Bedard in the Washington Examiner: "Most ominous for Mr. Obama is that 57 percent now disapprove of his job. That is his worst number yet. This includes 57 percent of men and 55 percent of women; 51 percent of moderates, 24 percent of liberals and 24 percent of Democrats; 66 percent of independents and 40 percent of Hispanics. Meanwhile, a separate poll by CNN/ORC International found: 53%
Maybe it was something about what they served in the White House mess in the 1990s. Or perhaps it´s what happens to baby boomer Democrats more than a decade after leaving office. For whatever the reason former vice president Al Gore has gone vegan, just like the president with whom he once served. Gore´s recent decision to forgo animal products surfaced as an offhand reference in a Forbes magazine piece about Hampton Creek Foods, an upscale vegan product line carried in Whole Foods. Ryan Mac´s article, which posted Saturday, chronicled how wealthy investors including Bill Gates, Tom Steyer and Vinod Khosla
Alec Baldwin has been fired by MSNBC, sources say. The rage-aholic’s weekly show, “Up Late With Alec Baldwin,” has been canceled because of the actor’s foul-mouthed rant at a photographer he called a nasty name. “The decision has been made. He’s gone,” an insider at the cable channel told me. “The [parent company] Comcast guys have decided. Word is spreading through the building.” Baldwin’s dismissal was decided on partly because of his diva-like behavior toward co-workers, a source said.
President Obama lashed out Tuesday at Republican lawmakers during a Hollywood speech seemingly designed to shift public debate away from his Obamacare - and Iran-related political train wrecks and toward safer territory: jobs and the economy. [Snip] ´Instead of rooting for failure or re-fighting old battles, Republicans in Congress need to work with us,´ he declared, complaining about his opponents´ fixation on the Affordable Care Act. ´We would be a lot further along without some of this dysfunction and obstruction we´ve seen in Washington,´ he insisted,.´if we didn´t [sic] have one wing of one party that was a little less
