Obamacare launch spawns 700+ cyber-squatters
capitalizing on Healthcare.gov, state exchanges

Washington Examiner, by Joel Gehrke

More than 700 websites have been created with names playing off of Obamacare or Healthcare.gov, making it likely that some Americans will mistakenly hand over private information to unknown third-parties. For instance, there is a website — www.obama-care.us — that brands itself as part of the "Obamacare enrollment team," directs people to an "Obamacare enrollment form" and asks users for their name, address, Social Security number and other contact information. According to a counter at the bottom of the page, more than 3,000 people have visited obama-care.us.

How can this possibly get any worse.

Sign up at your own peril. What is going to happen when people have their health insurance canceled and on January 1, 2014 have no health insurance because they can´t sign up and when they can, they are unable to afford it. There will be massive numbers of people uninsured. Accidents happen. Illness occur. What happens to the uninsured? Just what Obama intended, they will make a beeline to the government crying, save us. That is why the rollout was such a disaster.

This all would be hilarious if it weren´t so serious. The useful idiot Brian Beutler from Salon.com said that the administration will take health care criticism seriously if it comes from fellow liberals, but not from so-called conservative malcontents. It only shows the ideological blinders liberals all have. Even if the complaints are legitimate, only the like-minded need apply.

“Enough” with the multivitamins already. After reviewing the available evidence and conducting new trials, the authors have come to a conclusion of “no.” “We believe that the case is closed -- supplementing the diet of well-nourished adults with (most) mineral or vitamin supplements has no clear benefit and might even be harmful,” concluded the authors of the editorial summarizing the new research papers, published Dec. 16 in the Annals of Internal Medicine. “These vitamins should not be used

Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) had what some colleagues called "a heated exchange" and what she described as "a conversation" with President Obama during a White House meeting Wednesday afternoon regarding the District´s budget constraints as a result of the partial government shutdown. Norton attended the meeting in the White House East Room with nearly 200 House Democrats and was one of a handful given the opportunity to ask the president a question. When she was called upon, Norton pressed Obama to support a House-passed bill that would permit the District to use its locally raised tax funds to maintain operations

Another solid month of hiring in June could signal the start of a stronger second half of the year for the U.S. economy. Economists predict that the government will report Friday that employers added 165,000 jobs last month, roughly in line with May´s increase. The unemployment rate is expected to stay at a still-high 7.6 percent. The Labor Department will release the employment report at 8:30 a.m. EDT Friday. The job market and the economy have proved surprisingly resilient this year. Hiring and consumer confidence have remained steady despite higher taxes and federal spending cuts.
