The Definitive Guide to How Obamacare
is Destroying American Lives

Matt Walsh Blog, by Matt Walsh

Original Article

Posted By:LComStaff, 10/23/2013 12:46:37 PM

On Sunday night, I wrote a short post soliciting stories from my readers about how Obamacare has already immediately impacted their lives. I asked that all of these emails be directed to ObamacareMakesMeSick@Yahoo.com. I expected a response; I didn’t expect it to be quite so overwhelming. Over the last 24 hours, my inbox has been flooded with hundreds of emails. What you’ll read in this post represents a portion of them. I’m only one guy (with a fulltime job and twins) — I wasn’t able to go through every single message just yet. Some, I left out because the information

Thanks Staff!

This should be the focus of the Republicans - not usability of a website, not the technical aspects of signing up.

Congress needs to keep hammering on costs, the inability to keep your current insurance, and how it will affect the family and people´s jobs.

I´ve been reading these email "complaints" against 0bamaCare for well over an hour. Blogger says more to come. I can´t imagine how these collective cries of anguish aren´t being reported. It´s like cancer. Name someone you know who hasn´t been affected by it.

Like our once great military, as per Andrew Malcolm´s article yesterday, 0bama is truly out to destroy our Country and economy and what was once called the "American Dream." I would have thought this not possible.

First, this monstrosity is not about healthcare, it is about CONTROL.

As we said in the military, "When they have you by the b*lls, your heart and mind will follow."

Second, all these horror stories are exactly what the Dems want to hear, as it will result in the eventual "solution" being single-payer gov´t insurance.

Third, why would Obama hire a company to build a web site when they´d been fired for failing to do so a year earlier?

"The Canadian government fired the parent company of CGI Federal, the prime contractor for the problem-plagued Obamacare health exchange websites, last year for poor performance."

What a devastating compendium of destruction caused by Obamacare.
Now many of us face a tax penalty for not wasting thousands of dollars on Obamacare, and we´ll get absolutely nothing in return for it.
I´ll go as far as predict Obamacare will trigger another major recession. People are frightened, angry, and feel backed into a corner.

1. Hurricane Katrina
2. Hurricane Sandy
3. Hurricane Sandy and Katrina
4. Obamacare

All Republicans need to do is repeat over and over...

We gave Democrats over 50 opportunities to delay Obamacare, but they refused every single chance.

They even took the country to the brink with their no negotiation stance.

We can do better - People are hurting out there and it´s Democrats who are creating that pain.

I know people who have been planning to relocate to other countries to work, or if over 65 retire there.

A factor in deciding where, is the cost of health care. They are planning to buy private medical insurance until they are eligible to pay to get on that countries health plans.

There is a simple guide to understanding everything uttered by a socialist: the truth is the exact opposite of what they say. They lie. They lie about everything. All the time. With no exceptions. Even if the truth does them no harm, they will make up a lie anyway. They can´t NOT lie.

Therefore, we should have all known what was coming just from the name: the AFFORDABLE Care Act. How did we miss that?

I could barely tolerate reading through the horrific experiences of these poor, unfortunate fellow Americans. I dread that day that I get "the letter" from my insurance company. This feeling of constant anxiety and complete lack of control do do anything about the criminally behaving 0bama and his regime is about more than I can handle. The thought of 2014 being the only thing that can save us coupled with the horrific behavior of the establishment Republicans is just terriying. It is not idle talk to say we are on the verge of losing our once great country. I´m glad I am not a 20-year old being faced with these dire prospects.

I simply do not understand how Democrats keep getting elected in the face of this nonsense. I just read the results of a Rasmussen poll in Virginia that said Terry McAuliffe, the thug, sleazy, dishonest, criminal Clinton fixer has opened up a 17 point lead over Ken Cuccinelli in the governor´s race. How does this happen? Are we witnessing the complete dissolution of our country before our very eyes? I just do not understand it.

My story was posted on this blog too (Amy in Texas). I´ve been a poster here for 9 years but a reader for 10. We´re "fortunate" in that our deductible isn´t as high as the other stories but with two TI kids, getting hit with that $4000 all at once in Jan is going to be impossible for us. I´m sick reading everyone elses story too. I think I´ll post this on Cruz´s Facebook. Please pray for us that we can find the money to pay for my two boys´ care.

Thank you Matt for taking the time to write this post. The least the rest of us can do is stand firm in our opposition and never give up, never give in.

Meghan Kelly had a democrat congressman on her show. he came right out and said that this is all the fault of the awful insurance companies. Obama is the only one trying to fix the problem that the insurance companies are causing..
I do remember reading..and I am sorry, I do not have proof....that Obama called in the ins.companies for a meeting.. they were told to raise rates, and start cutting health care..but would be find if the ins. companies informed the public that they were instructed to do this.
Obama is having another meeting with ins.execs. If I were one of them I would take a tape recorder

Two years ago my company decided to put all non-Executive types on a High-Deductible health care system. Our premiums jumped 30% on one year with no warning or compensation offset. We must also pay all medical/drug costs until we reach a limit before an 80/20 co-pay assistance kicks in, which is $1500 for single, and $3000 for family. Our "Out of Pocket Maximum" for a year, which I´ve met 3 years in a row now for a variety of surgeries, is $3500 for single and $7000 for family.

Obviously, companies no longer want to cover dependents as can be seen by the "dependent penalty: here. I had to kick my son off my policy because for the Out of Pocket Maximum difference for the year ($3500), which I knew I´d achieve, I could put him on his own very good Blue Cross-Blue Shield policy that was way better than my company´s policy, and still save money!

Conservative organizations need to remind Americans via TV/Radio ads EVERY SINGLE DAY that it was the Democrats who voted on a straight Party line to destroy the finest health care system in the world.

There are forty pages of testimonials here. You don´t need to read them all--just enough to savor the flavor. Today Gallup and the Washington Post posted articles telling us how popular Obamacare is. I have the sneaking suspicion that the Orwellian "Affordable" Care Act, which passed Congress with exactly zero Republican votes, is going to kill the Democratic (sic) Party once the voters grasp what has been done to them. Small loss. Sayonara. Their time came and went.

And we can also do without the Establishment Republicans who like saying that this bill is "the law of the Land." Screw them, too. Besides, I´m a libertarian. Consumer Reports, that bastion of conservatism (not!), has told its readers not to sign up with the Obamacare exchanges. And the Obamacare 800 number is 1-800-318-2596. What does that spell? 1-800-F1U-CKYO. Obama´s got his bare butt pressed against our picture windows, and he´s enjoying himself. Now it´s time to get some payback.

It needs to be destroyed, but we knew this wouldn´t happen until a large mass of "true believers" saw the truth, and it had to hurt them. It´s JUST starting. Now you´ll see what your R and tea party people who have been loudest can do, for real. Storming the Bastille is an understatement after the fines for this criminal act go into effect in a larger percentage. Even Lofo idiots are waking up. You´re talking about food, gas, housing left behind to pay for NOTHING care...mommas and their cubs...guess who they´ll vote for if the message is right come 2016 when the damage has hit full force?

It either implodes, which our hospital system has been preparing for, or it closes down vast segments of care venues and providers. I´m planning on my job gone in a few years if it survives in any form close to now. Many docs i work with are either retiring, combining, or going straight concierge, fee for service, no insurance of any kind. Flat fee for year, greater access. Where you run into trouble is the emergency and surgical issues. That´s what the catastrophic plans were for previously that don´t meet ACA "standards"....

But if it came to paying loan shark rates for nothing-coverage or feeding my family, the family wins. And anyone renting out their primary residence would benefit from talking to an attorney about a trust for that now-unaffordable home and seeing what 0-care penalties you can avoid by doing so.

There aren´t enough fed BK judges to oversee the massive cases that will flood in from this hell.

Keep it simple...just say "not one single vote"...and let them ask you what you mean.

Not one single Republican voted for Obamacare and they have tried to stop it.

I´m sorry but, what else can you do when people refuse to listen and refuse to learn how insurance works.

I hate this stuff. One of my best friends told me his premium was going from about $ 800 a month to over $ 1,700 a month.

This stuff is going to cripple the economy in 2014....believe it.

Obamacare will be the trigger that starts the revolution. When you can´t buy a home and care for your family, what have you got to lose? The anger will get much worse as more and more people lose everything they have, including their loved ones. It´s not going to be good to be in Washington over the next year.

I have to laugh when I hear people warn of a gov´t run, single payer system. The gov´´t cant even build a health care web site, so there is no way they can develop a gov´t run health care system.

What is happening is good news to real conservatives, who believe people should experience the consequences of their stupid actions. the majority of voters voted for obamanation care in the last election (whether they were smart enough to realize it or not), and the american people age getting what they deserve..

What is needed if not a revolution is for as many people as possible hopefully about 200 to 250 Million people refuse to sign up for Obamacare.

That would break the back of Obamacare even with the tax penalty in April. If you have no refund they must then take measures to attach a lien on your paycheck with your employer.

Two years of refusing to sign up should bankrupt any further efforts for Obamacare.

I now understand why Goodwill is opening Clearance Centers where poor people can find clothing and other necessary goods at $8 per pound. The items may not be in pristine condition but someone who is handy would find the centers a treasure trove.

This "breakdown" in logging on to the website is planned. It´s how the dems want to get us on a single payer system. "they" are hoping the people will get fed up with the waits etc and start demanding their healthcare. Then in 2014, the dems will take both houses and usher the single payer system in. Wait and watch.

One question. How many of the posters on that blog voted for 0bama? Never listened to him speak? No brainer from 2009. We, the people, have been screwed. I say again. All of this has been planned. Folks will start complaining (rightly so) and demand action and wala, we have single payer "insurance." Simple as that. We are going to lose our rear ends when 2014 closes out ´cause the dems will have both houses.

These stories are heartbreaking, and all of it is intentional. Obama wants to drive everyone to the brink and over the edge of financial ruin. He wants them totally dependent on govt., and kissing his ring for crumbs from his table.

The msm will not report these stories, until maybe someone close to them dies as a result of this evil, calamatous law.

Anyone that voted for Obama either time should suffer for what they´ve wrought.

Obamacare - The Affordable Care Act - was never about health care, reducing the cost of health care or making health care accessible or better.

Proof: No new Doctors were hired, no new hospitals were built, no new classes were offered or colleges opened for students to become Physicians. The government, obama, passed the ACA by bribing Senators to pass legislation that should have (Constitutionally) begun in the House of Representatives and then hiring 11,000 new IRS agents to see to it´s (ACA) funding.

Only in a liberal mind can you have 30million new customers, and no additional service personnel - then - expect everything to work.

I expect within the next few months, there will be a announcement that the ACA is dead, but since the health care insurance companies have been all put out of business by the attempted, but flawed, ACA, the only choice obama has is to implement a Single Payer Plan.

This is heartbreaking to read, and we have our own story, too, of rising premiums deductibles and lower reimbursements.

Just remember that Congress is exempt from the problems caused by Obamacare. We the people are taking it on the chin, and Jay Carney walks out of press conferences when they ask questions about it.

Just yesterday, it was stated on Stuart Varney´s show on Fox Business that if a person receives the subsidy to help pay for their insurance through Obamacare, the IRS considers that income, and taxes must be paid on it. In addition, what happens if that "income" puts a family or person above the limit for the subsidy? Catch-22, Obama-style?

FredGrams.com (aka SingingTelegramsInternational.com) is the latest chapter in one Hunterdon County man’s long musical odyssey. And you´re reading about it just in time for Valentine´s Day or some other occasion for sending a musical e-greeting. Pianist/singer/lecturer Fred Miller has lived in a converted stable near Sergeantsville for more than three decades while building a career celebrating the classic American popular songs, tunes that burst forth from vaudeville, Tin Pan Alley, Broadway, Hollywood via the mass entertainment media during the first half of the 20th century. Miller’s original professional focus was theatrical production, but his performing activities now revolve exclusively around his popular

Benghazi, Libya - A Boyish-Looking American Diplomat was meeting for the first time with the Islamist leaders of eastern Libya’s most formidable militias. It was Sept. 9, 2012. Gathered on folding chairs in a banquet hall by the Mediterranean, the Libyans warned of rising threats against Americans from extremists in Benghazi. One militia leader, with a long beard and mismatched military fatigues, mentioned time in exile in Afghanistan. An American guard discreetly touched his gun. “Since Benghazi isn’t safe, it is better for you to leave now,” Mohamed al-Gharabi, the leader of the Rafallah al-Sehati Brigade, later recalled telling the

FRANK SINATRA, holding a glass of bourbon in one hand and a cigarette in the other, stood in a dark corner of the bar between two attractive but fading blondes who sat waiting for him to say something. But he said nothing; he had been silent during much of the evening, except now in this private club in Beverly Hills he seemed even more distant, staring out through the smoke and semidarkness into a large room beyond the bar where dozens of young couples sat huddled around small tables or twisted in the center of the floor to the clamorous

In August 2013 I became very sick with what I thought was a cold. After a few days I lost vision in my left eye and I checked into the hospital. I soon found out that what I thought was a summer cold was actually Strep bacteria poisoning my blood stream. The bacteria blinded my left eye, ate a hole through my heart, caused five strokes on both sides of my brain and forced the removal of my prosthetic left knee. Dr. Lee was the surgeon assigned to perform open heart surgery. What was originally scheduled to last four hours ended

I asked that all of these emails be directed to ObamacareMakesMeSick@Yahoo.com. I expected a response; I didn’t expect it to be quite so overwhelming. The recent theft of massive amounts of highly sensitive U.S. military equipment from Libya is far worse than previously thought, Fox News has learned, with raiders swiping hundreds of weapons that are now in the hands of militia groups aligned with terror organizations and the Muslim Brotherhood. The equipment, as Fox News previously reported, was used for training in Libya by U.S. Special Forces. The training team, which was funded by the Pentagon, has since been pulled, partly in response to the overnight raids last August. According to State Department and military sources, dozens of highly armored vehicles called GMV´s, provided

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal
