Beating Obama
Front Page Magazine, by Daniel Greenfield

Obama does many things. He prevaricates, manipulates, defrauds, abuses and usurps. But one thing that he does not do is compromise. Any strategy built on forcing Obama to compromise is inherently flawed. He may occasionally throw Republicans a tiny bone to make them feel better about giving in, but only as long as his is the only plate with meat on it. Obama never compromises because he has never really lost. He has been insulated from defeat by his fanaticism, his arrogance and his media… and by Republican incompetence.

Our current batch of leaders are way too scared to fight obama on their terms. Cruz, Palin, etc, have no problem fighting him, using his own rule book, Alinsky´s Rules for Radicals.

We need leaders that are not scared.

Finally. Someone can artfully articulate the problem: Obama has nothing to lose, and so he always wins.

In a game of chicken with a man who cares nothing for the status quo that impulse to conserve has become their [Republicans´] fatal weakness. They may gamble, but they never gamble everything because they see themselves as custodians of a political system, a legal traditional and a national heritage.

That is what our Founding is all about, but Obama abhors the Founders and the principles upon which America was founded.

Obama, who has no concern or use for any of those things, always comes to the table prepared to gamble everything. And it is hard to beat a man at a political game within a system of rules when he cares nothing for those rules.

We knew that. Obama´s behavior should have tipped off the Republicans, too. But they care more for peacemaking and appearing to be moderate thinkers than for winning ideological battles, and more importantly, the battle for the American soul.

Greenfield´s piece is a masterful work of simple observation: Watch what someone does and ignore what they say. Had Republicans done that, perhaps we wouldn´t be in a place right now where we are pondering how to get our Constitution back.

FTA: They were clashes of will and nerve.

With a few notable exceptions, we don´t have a single elected "R" who has any nerve; what they have --and the article didn´t address it, is greed.

Yeah. The elected "R"s are playing by the old rules because that´s what´s given then their power, and kept them in power; the old rules is what´s fed their greed.

Elected "R"s can prevaricate, manipulate, defraud, abuses and usurp just as well as 0bama, and it´s always worked for them in the past because they always had something to trade: PORK.

0bama doesn´t care about PORK. He really doesn´t even care about power, except for how it affords him the mechanism to destroy a nation he despises.

Every elected "R" needs to be hog tied to a tree and made to read this article over and over and over until he/she can recite it, word for word, and pass a quiz on the content.

That´s the only way I know to make what´s in this article hit the mark with the Elected "R"s.

You want to talk about 0bama´s arrogance. He´s not got anything on the Elected "R"s who are still playing by the old rules.

"Law does not matter." For a supposed professor of constitutional law (which Obama was not---he was an instructor and not all that enticing from what I have heard) he is a very dangerous man who breaks law after law, pushes envelope after envelope, and the MSM media says virtually nothing, even, amazingly, when their own ox was gored. We are literally turning into an Argentina or the like, with a President and AG who do whatever they please, counting on nothing being said and an oblivious populace------and when the country FINALLY wakes up it will probably be too late: way too many on the take and a whole new populace via immigration......I used to worry that would displace American workers, but so many of them are not working and are collecting unemployment they may not care. They are being re-educated as Takers.

Perceptive essay by DG. Go-along-to-get-along accomodationist "moderate" Republicans ought to have a print out of this essay stapled to their foreheads, because it pegs Obama, who will be a law unto himself until he sees his popularity numbers dive. Then he´ll panic and make mistakes from which there will be no recovery.

There are already plenty of indications of his intransigence and his attitude toward anyone who disagrees with him, however slightly. Just look at the Obamacare 800 number. Do you know what it spells (albeit with a "1" between the "F" and the "U")? Do you realize how any Republican would be treated if he did the same? He´d be run out of town.

The Legacy Media--much of which ought to be driving taxis or emptying garbage cans--is in the tank for Obama, but the comprehensive screw ups in the Executive Branch are getting too numerous to ignore. Maybe critical mass hasn´t been achieved yet, but it´s hard to believe that infuriated citizens whose medical insurance costs are necessarily skyrocketing are not going to know who´s responsible.

The McCain-Graham-Bush-McConnell-Boehner cabal urge the GOP to make nice with Obama, to disagree without being disagreeable. But it´s not possible to make nice with a political cutthroat. He must be opposed head on. (continued below)

I repeat what I have said several times here: The Tea Party should untertake a hostile takeover of the Republican Party and relegate the mollycoddles to the sidelines. (There should be no third party offshoot of the Republican party. As Gen. Patton said, "Let the Hun do that." A couple of RINOs might cross the aisle and become Democrats, but most of them won´t do that because they´re not social democrats (socialists). They´re just allergic to controversy, bless their little hearts.

Stop playing defense. That´s no way to win. Go on the offensive. That´s the only way to effect an Obama freak out and collapse. Damn the torpedos!

The author contradicts himself when he claims Obama has never really lost, then goes on to say that when told no, he makes mistakes. Obama most certainly has lost although not much: He lost on gun control and the US bombing Syria issue. Smelling defeat, Obama punted before the Congress officially gave him an answer on Syria. Now Syria is one of those mute topics the liberal press does not discuss. BTW: epic fails in Egypt and Syria for Obama, dereliction on grand scale in LIbya.

Why is standing up against ACA a mistake as Greenfield states? ("and both of those mistakes may prove fatal"). It stole the oxygen the LSM would have preferred to use on other pro-Obama agenda and set in stone, for the record, the premise "we told you so" re socialist health insurance downfalls.

A truly brilliant article. The only thing I would quibble about is the assertion that Obama cares about his popularity. He´s a Marxist revolutionary, he don´t need no stinkin´ popularity. In fact, he ASSUMES he has it even when he doesn´t. And his handlers are careful to always surround him with those subsets of his true believers that adore him no matter what. Ergo, his public speeches only at fawning college/high school/union venues.

The ONLY way to defeat him is through all-out, no compromise, Ted Cruz on steroids direct opposition. Publicly call him out as a liar. Ridicule his and his administration´s incompetence. And for We The People, don´t obey his unconstitutional laws. Civil disobedience. Squared.

He thrives on acquiescence. Give him push back instead.

They are failed policies except in academia (Ivy League).

Most Democrats aren´t liberal, but most Democrat politicians are.

Do the Democrats in Red states truly represent Blacks, Hispanics and Asians when none of those groups identify as liberal?

Republicans can push for responsible, dependable and efficient government not the bloated and wasteful government offered by Democrats.

Replacing his agenda with ours is obvious, but, Greenfield did not opine on how to damage and defeat the msm. Although a simple approach is for Americans to boycott the msm and cease consuming its so-called news product.

The ultimate party litmus test: given a veto-proof legislature, will Republicans finally start to reduce the scope and size of government? It looks like the answer is no. In 2013, North Carolina was just one of 25 states where Republican governors were given historic opportunity to govern alongside Republican-controlled legislatures. Despite conservative voters’ best hopes, any sensible mandate to restore individual and economic freedom flew out the window when the FY 2013-14 budget was approved, reauthorizing the formerly Democratic state’s blueprint budget with a tragic 2.0-percent increase in general fund appropriations.

The GOP is operating on the belief that everyone is on board, simply because insiders have officially decreed it to be so. However, the grassroots in the USA remains unconvinced. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No
