Obama to address widespread
health care glitches

Associated Press, by Julie Pace

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 10/21/2013 6:04:54 AM

WASHINGTON- President Barack Obama is expected to acknowledge that widespread problems with his health care law´s rollout are unacceptable, as the administration scrambles to fix the glitches. Obama was scheduled to speak Monday from the Rose Garden, his first health care-focused event since the cascade of computer problems became apparent. The troublesome rollout of the health care exchanges has been a glaring embarrassment for Obama´s signature legislative achievement. White House officials say the president will discuss steps the administration is taking to address the glitches, including ramping up staffing at call centers where people can apply for insurance by phone.

Whoever wrote the legislation itself and signed it into law are the real culprits, yet Barry´s big talk won´t come within 100 miles of taking responsibility for foisting this destructive, intrusive and unpopular monstrosity on America.
This will be just another insulting ploy and more window dressing to perpetuate the charade which is the Obama administration.

They aren´t "glitches" Barry, they are full blown design flaws in the foundation that can´t be fixed without rewriting the whole thing. Do you have the cajones to admit that?

Users must file applications before they can enroll, in part to find out whether they are eligible for government subsidies.

Right. Like this Administration would pass up the chance to hook another American citizen on the drug of dependence on government.

It´s odd how much effort is going into seeing that Americans go on the dole, and how much IRS stonewalling goes into not allowing Americans to receive tax-exempt status to form conservative groups.

Effort by this White House is directly measured by whether the cause is socialist or Constitutional.

Fox should have a rolling screen below his speech identifying ALL LIES as he talks.
Will he address Soros´ Center For American Progress writing this bill that Dems passed without reading?
The Office of Minority Medicine tucked into the bill that divides medical training, funding and practice along ethnic lines?
AA needs to be banned - not enshrined.
Obama told his supporters to "vote for revenge."
Like Hitler, he tells people what he intends to do but they won´t listen until the Death Panels start up and it is too late.
Medicare is 80 % white - he stripped it of 700 million and so it began.

There are real legal challenges facing ACA. From this morning´s Wall Street Journal: "Judges in D.C. and Virginia will consider whether the text of statute prevents the administration from offering subsidized health insurance to millions of low and middle-income Americans." Essentially, the states that refused to sign up for the exchanges (26? 33?) forced the exchange operation to default to the federal government. Under the wording of ACA, applicants can qualify for subsidies through an exchange "established by the state". A court has already ruled that IRS could not change the law by deciding that phrase can cover federal exchanges. The plaintiffs are a small bank in Kansas and a small business owner in West Virginia, but there is big money behind the suits and according to the WSJ, the "stakes are huge".

The foolish democrats were just falling down all over themselves using strong arm, sweethearting, bribes to implement and it is DOA. ha ha ha ha. A fitting dessert for Obama would be if the ACA website continues to not function until his last day in office. Then we get a twofer and flush two failed concepts at once. The all too clear writing on the wall is that the man is incapable of creating anything good and breaks everything in sight.

We have all learned that everything Obama is political. Obamacare has been designed to fail. The Reid/Pelosi/Obama cabal have a single goal: complete and never-ending control of all America by the Democrat-Socialist party. Single payer healthcare is the next step in achieving their goal so Obamacare must fail to get there. With everything else Obama there must be someone to demonize for the planned failure and that will be the "evil" insurance companies. We are watching a train wreck happenig right now, frame by frame.

This will be like the doctors photo-op, and then the truth will come out about how much trouble the administration toadies had finding people to put on those white coats and pretend to be doctors.

The entire administration is a lie, a photo-op --that, in addition to being a criminal enterprise from top to bottom, front to back.

If you relied on the Los Angeles Times for news, you would not be aware of any problems. In today´s edition, there is a single happy story titled, "Insurer all-in on Obamacare," in which Health Net officials are quoted as saying they are supportive of the program. Not a word even about the "glitches." Tomorrow, however, I would expect a front page story about the Rose Garden appearance. This is reminiscent of the "swift boat" stories, where Times readers learned for the first time of the accusations that had been made for weeks by John Kerry´s fellow veterans when he at last denied them.

There is an easy solution to this. Just set up a landing page on the healthcare site and get people to submit their name and email and ask for a response giving them their options. Then the NSA would look up all the information about them, fill out all the forms route them into the subsidized program for congress members and their staff if they are Obama Supporters and demand the payment of the fine for the others. You might object that this is not what the law requires but since when has that been an obstacle for Obama?

What really bothers me the most is that this monstrosity is NOT going to be revoked but somehow will be shoved down the throats of American citizens. And once implemented, no matter how horrible it will be, it will become just another "entitlement" that simple can´t be done away with. Just like social security and medicare/Medicaid. And the tax payers are going to be billed for it. It´s getting to the point that anyone that has a job will have to just give all of their earnings to the government who will then remit back an amount that THEY think that is all you "need". And here I thought 1984 had come and gone already!

California’s unemployment rate is rotten and holding steady. In March, according to the Los Angeles Times, the rate was 8.1%. In February, it was exactly the same. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the state only added 11,800 net new jobs in March, many of them in construction, government, education, and health services. The greatest gains were in professional and business services, with 3,100 new positions. But the jobs numbers in hospitality, manufacturing, and leisure dipped, and the biggest drop came in financial activities, as the slowing rate of mortgages forced banks to fire employees. Democrats have a problem and everyone knows it. President Obama calls it a “congenital disease.” If they can’t control it, Obama could spend the final years of his presidency battling not only a Republican House but also a Republican Senate. Democrats don’t vote in midterm elections. That’s an exaggeration, of course, but the core of the Democratic coalition is made up of many people who turn out to vote only in presidential elections. The Republican coalition — older and whiter — suffers less from midterm falloff. So much has been made of the building blocks the president assembled to win his

Once the province of activists and stoners, the traditional pot holiday of April 20 has gone mainstream in the first state in the nation to legalize recreational marijuana. Tens of thousands gathered for a weekend of Colorado cannabis-themed festivals and entertainment, from a marijuana industry expo called the Cannabis Cup at a trade center north of downtown, to 4/20-themed concerts at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater — acts include Slightly Stoopid and Snoop Dog — to a massive festival in the shadow of the state capitol where clouds of cannabis smoke are expected to waft at 4:20 p.m. MDT Sunday.

Last night, Chris Hayes face off against Assemblywoman Michele Fiore over the ongoing saga of the Bundy Ranch. Fiore reminds us why we love TV. (Video) Fiore for the win! The Assemblywoman is feisty, unflappable, stays on message, goes at Hayes hard, and comes out looking great. A terrific segment and a good interview by Hayes, amazingly enough. The best part was when she left him flat-footed right at the end after catching him with the slaughter question. Although Hayes salvages the moment for himself with the barbecue crack. You can agree or disagree with Bundy or Fiore all you

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. The bushy-tailed visitor

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal
