Breitbart´s Big Journalism, by Wynton Hall

Members of Congress and their staffs are on red alert tonight for a CBS 60 Minutes investigation by veteran CBS reporter Steve Kroft and Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President and Breitbart News editor Peter Schweizer exposing how lawmakers convert campaign donations into lavish lifestyle upgrades for themselves and their family members. Sources say top CBS executives thought the report was so explosive that they made it the show’s lead story and delayed airing it for another week in order to capture tonight’s much larger NFL-viewing audience. The report features selected revelations from Schweizer’s forthcoming book, Extortion: How Politicians Extract Your

So why did Baucus step down and Queen Nancy still has her leadership postition?

If this report focuses on Harry Reid and the corruption in Nevada, I will change my opinion of network news organiations. That man is rotten to the core.

I´m watching and taking notes.
Schweitzer is bipartisan critic.
FTA "Schweizer, a noted conservative and fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, has gained a national reputation for his bipartisan corruption investigations, attacking Democrats and Republicans alike. Earlier this year, progressive Comedy Central host Jon Stewart of the Daily Show featured Schweizer in a segment on the STOCK Act wherein Stewart criticized Congress for watering down the bill Schweizer’s book helped pass."

Since it´s on CBS, my guess that massive influence peddling, insider deals and outright graft by Democrats will be neglected and the two overdue library books some Tea Party/Republican congressman had in 7th grade will be featured as proof of massive Republican corruption in Washington.

This has to be another left wing dirty tricks campaign to make people hate republicans even more and erase their bargaining power on upcoming fights.

They might use somebody like Jesse jr. as a dem example while unloading on current GOP members.

I´m hoping they prove me wrong, but I´m agreeing with all of you skeptics that the purpose of the "exposé" is to harm Republicans and help Dems. It´s difficult to believe they would wait to time it for the largest audience if it was mainly about Dems. Makes me wonder if they have a Conservative in the crosshairs, or one that is considered more conservative by them.
It may be legitimate, or it may be just a platform for future propaganda.

Wow! What a Surrr-Prize! No S Sherlock!

In 1998 I had to work through a project for a new food manufacturing process. The development company and paten holder, could not get FDA approval- even though the new porcess greatly lowered food cost(for this food item) and greatly enhanced at lower cost, it´s distribution to the market- and it in now way altered the product! But, still it required FDA approval. Finally, after two years of utter frustration, someone (anonymous, of course) at FDA advised the company to pay $50,000.00 (CASH!) to Senator X-x-x. As soon as the "campaign donation" was made, the FDA approval on all points came down by express mail. And they never even once sent an inspector to see the process!

Our elected Gvt. is nothing but one huge house of thieves and bribery whores.

CBS has some pretty lame games as their lead in today. Audience may not be as strong as they´d have liked (if the Jets/Patriots game was the lead, there would have been a bigger crowd to catch 60 minutes, a show I haven´t watched in 30 years.

We have the government of a banana republic. Corrupt. Bloated. Dysfunctional.

We need to get rid of the McCains and Grahams. Elect genuine conservatives. Change the Republican Party to a Tea Party.

I do not vote for Republicans to "get along" with Democrats. I vote for them to FIGHT for America and to WIN those fights.

The Tea Party IS the centrist party. Anything to the left of it is nuts.

I concur. #7 probably hit it pretty well on the head.

By the way, the Republican establishment needs a good, old-fashioned ass-whippin but not by the likes of a democrat enabling, 100% liberal/communist organization like cbs.

Coming from Breitbart and Schweizer, perhaps this program has a chance. Both Republican and Democrat crooks need to be exposed. Keep an open mind until it airs. Then praise or condemn it. Beating it death ahead of time shows how childish we have become.

If the truth be known and you are truthful in pointing fingers, why not shame all those Republicans who stayed home last election that got Obama reelected?

Yes they have a right to do that but it doesn´t mean I have to respect them as Americans for giving us a Marxist government. I trust the same wimpy cowards will do the same thing in 2014 and 2016.

If Kentuckians have IQ´s above minus 10 they will flock to the polls to get rid of McConnell. If they don´t then they deserve the term "country bumpkin" and I will consider them Anti-Constitution.

Wonder if the folks in Arizona have the integrity and courage to get rid of McCain? Probably not.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – President Obama compared the Republican budget plan to a "stinkburger" or "meanwich" during a speech here Wednesday, using a series of zingers in an attempt to strike a contrast with the GOP on economic issues in an election year. In a speech to an enthusiastic crowd of 1,400 at the University of Michigan, Obama repeatedly mocked Republican ideas about how to improve the economy, as he touted his own proposal to raise the minimum wage. Obama, who visited the local Zingerman´s deli before the speech, said that Republican proposals to cut taxes for wealthier Americans and

A major newspaper in Spain has published an exclusive claiming that sources within the search effort to find missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 are considering the possibility that the plane was shot down by military forces in order to prevent a terror attack and the government giving the order has yet to divulge its involvement. The report surfaced online this weekend, titled "Intelligence Sources Weigh Whether Malaysian Plane Was Derailed To Prevent New 9/11." It suggests that the plane did not fall into the southwestern Indian Ocean, as investigators have insisted for more than a week after definitively concluding that

Who throws a shoe? Honestly! That would be 36-year-old Alison Ernst of Phoenix, Arizona, who was charged Thursday night with disorderly conduct by the Las Vegas Police Department after allegedly throwing a shoe at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. According to NBC News, who spoke with a Secret Service official, the U.S. Attorney’s office has declined federal prosecution. Ernst was wearing shoes on Thursday night when she attended a speech Clinton was giving in Las Vegas, but apparently brought an extra one specifically to throw at the former secretary of state. The official said the incident appeared to be “premeditated.”

Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. There are no signs of either side relinquishing their position. Many onlookers have been informed that this dispute is over protecting the desert tortoise. But it is nothing of the sort. In fact, the reality of the dispute goes far underneath what is being talked about. The more appropriate source of the dispute is ground water as well as surface water -- this is a war over water. Cliven Bundy and his

A Nevada cattle rancher appears to have won his week-long battle with the federal government over a controversial cattle roundup that had led to the arrest of several protesters. Cliven Bundy went head to head with the Bureau of Land Management over the removal of hundreds of his cattle from federal land, where the government said they were grazing illegally. Bundy claims his herd of roughly 900 cattle have grazed on the land along the riverbed near Bunkerville, 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, since 1870 and threatened a "range war" against the BLM on the Bundy Ranch website after one of

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) is now accusing the Keystone pipeline of being a cancer risk. Her first point was that the pipeline “will bring 830,000 barrels of dirty tar sands oil into our nation every day.” She then segued to point #2 by asserting that the heavy tar sands oil will put people who live near refineries at risk for cancer: Significantly higher levels of dangerous air pollutants and carcinogens have been documented downwind from tar sands refineries, and in these areas people are suffering higher rates of the types of cancers linked to these toxic chemicals, including leukemia and

President Obama stood Friday with the Rev. Al Sharpton and accused Republicans of trying to keep millions of Americans from voting, in a fiery speech days after new revelations about Sharpton’s past as an FBI informant. “The right to vote is threatened today in a way that it has not been since the Voting Rights Act became law nearly five decades ago,” Obama told the annual convention of Sharpton’s National Action Network in Manhattan. Obama’s appearance represented a presidential seal of approval of Sharpton’s role as a civil rights activist, amid the new revelations about how Sharpton used a wire to record

Let me obliterate a bit of confusion here: the Obama administration attempted to go to war with a rancher in Nevada. Let me amplify a little bit of truth: They tucked tail and have returned home. And let me add a bit of clarity: they had no choice! As the nation began to become familiar with the plight of the family of Cliven Bundy, many of us harkened back to another standoff in which the Federal government attempted to bully it´s outcome: Waco, Texas and the Branch Davidian massacre. It is telling that in the Nevada case the feds pulled out so

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. Barack Obama won the presidency because in an election where the premium was on change, it mattered little

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

Say what you will about Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), but they know a train wreck when they see it. They also know when to separate themselves from the cranks and the losers on the right. Although both supported the shutdown and were heartily supported by tea party groups in their own Senate races, neither one has endorsed Matt Bevin in Kentucky, Milton Wolf in Kansas or Chris McDaniel in Mississippi. In fact, Cruz’s office confirms he hasn’t endorsed anyone in the primaries. He may weigh in after the primaries. Rand Paul has endorsed two very establishment

A brazen flash mob has been caught on camera storming a California store and making off with $20,000 worth of sunglasses. Surveillance footage shows eight women piling into a Sunglass Hut and crowding around display cases. Shielding workers from what they´re doing, they quickly stuff dozens of fashion specs into their bags. A store clerk pleads with them to stop, before running out of the shot to get help and dial 911. The thieves then all bolt outside and escape in a waiting SUV. The incident occurred at the Valencia Town Center mall, in Santa Clarita, at 3 p.m. on

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Democrats hope to retain control of the Senate and recapture the House by driving
