Obama nurtures his faith away
from the spotlight

Associated Press, by Josh Lederman

WASHINGTON— President Barack Obama is not an overtly religious man. He and his family rarely attend church, and he almost never elaborates in public about his own relationship to his Christian faith. But away from the public eye, advisers say, the president has carefully nurtured a sense of spirituality that has served as a grounding mechanism during turbulent times, when the obstacles to governing a deeply divided nation seem nearly insurmountable. Every year on Aug. 4, the president´s birthday, Obama convenes a group of pastors by phone to receive their prayers for him for the year to come. During the

I just wonder how many times a day he washes his feet, turns sharply to the east and whips out the old prayer rug.

Does he think the pastors will pray him into heaven? He "receives" prayers - not he prays! I don´t personally think he even knows God - Jesus Christ or the Holy Spirit. If so, we would know it by his actions - God´s fruits would be self-evident.

Obama praises the abortion clinics and then thanks God for them! One day he will find out the difference. God does not bless sin, but he does bless the sinner when he repents!

Food for thought for a President who needs help! Pray for him, that he listens to that inner voice that cries "repentance"!

In a pig’s eye “…his Christian faith.” Obama’s a Muslim. Just ask George Stephanopoulos, who awkwardly tried to unconvincingly convince Obama that Obama´s a Christian. George Stephanopoulos failed miserably.

Any resemblance between Obama and the truth is purely coincidental.

I haven´t forgotten his "My Muslim faith" to George Stephanopoulos, poster #13, nor his "The most beautiful sound in the world is the "morning call to faith." Which he learned as a boy attending a private school as Barry Soetero, the Indonesian son of a Muslim.

To reinforce this, remember when he was asked on the campaign trail, he thought there are 57 (the number of Muslim) states.

#5- you do realize that there is no record of Ronald Reagan ever going to a church service the entire time he was President. The reason he gave when asked why was that too much security would be needed. I´m sure your statement applies to him also, so RR could not be considered a Christian either?

The information provided in this piece, if accurate, indicates that the President relies very much on what others tell him about God and his word, rather than searching the Scriptures to find what God reveals about himself in his word.

All of us need to be like the Bereans and search the Scriptures daily to see whether the things that are told to us about them are so. (Acts 17:11)

I heard this recently. It´s from 2005, but it is as true today as then. It´s entitled "Truth is Fallen in the Streets" taken from Isaiah 59:14,15.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4t3uPHo5_Sk

You may want to move past the singing and prayer, that´s up to you, but the message about what is happening in America is right on target. Truth is indeed fallen in the streets. The speaker uses comments from Moynihan and relates a story about Bear Bryant that was told by John McCain, but don´t let that throw you off the truth of the message.

If I had a hat on my head, I´d tear it off and throw it on the ground. This hardship is what damn near every president has to go through, which is dealing with the other part in congress. If he´d been more respectful during his first two years, he´d be getting a lot more cooperation now. Heck, if he were more respectful now instead of calling them arsonists, he´d get more cooperation. Nothing like trashing people 24/7 and then going "woe is me." Good grief.

Barack Obama isn´t a Christian. He belongs to a hate cult that openly promotes hatred of white people, capitalism and America. You don´t spend twenty years listening to Jeremiah Wright´s poisonous vitriol without embracing or endorsing those very same ideas.

Christ´s message was never, ever "hate whitey and God DAMN America!"

Pretend all you want that this man is a normal, average, practicing Christian. All available evidence points to the opposite conclusion.

Obama once tried to insert Christ´s words into a political speech but brought up the verse about turning stones into bread. I thought this was absolutely chilling because Satan uttered the words about turning stones into bread. The fact that he could confuse Satan´s words with Christ´s is frightening.

Re #23, Ronald and Nancy Reagan regularly attended the Bel Air Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles.

I knew their minister, Dr. Donn Moomaw (who gave the invocation at President Reagan´s inauguration) and he told me of their regular attendance at the church when they were in California and after he left office. Until she became too frail to do so, Mrs. Reagan continued to attend after President Reagan´s death.

It´s a good idea to get your facts straight before you start firing.

"Has carefully nurtured a sense of spirituality"?...There have been over 56,733,000 abortions in The United States since the wicked Supreme Court Decision of Roe v Wade in January, 1973. So what did Obama have to say to the assembled mass murderers of Planned Parenthood at their National Conference in Washington, D.C. on April 26, 2013?..."Thank you, Planned Parenthood, God bless you."

He was in DC for 8 years as President and never attended church there. Rarely he went to the ranch in CA, but most Sundays was in the White House or at Camp David. He was asked a number of times why he did not attend church while President and always gave the security answer. I know he went to Bel Air Pres when in LA, but was not a churchgoer while President. Those are facts you can look up.

And #23´s, #46´s, point is?

The Obamas make a great point of going to church when it is photo op time. The rest of the time, nada.

What exactly is the point of all this business about Ronald Reagan? Books have been written about his spirituality, dating back to his mother and his childhood.

The only "church history" we have on Obama is Jeremiah Wright´s church, the big predominantly black church in Chicago that his mentors advised him to attend for political credibility and contacts. Is that #23-46´s idea of spirituality?

There are at least a dozen reasons proving Obama is not a Christian and the only people who might think he is Christian, are non-Christians, those who have no clue what Christianity it.

But... the most obvious proofs are his disregard for life. This is seen by his support of unlimited abortion and the legislation he vetoed that would have given doctors and nurses the liberty to treat a child that survived an abortion. He forced healthcare workers to let them die. He even said that he would be willing to have his own grandchildren killed rather than have his daughters saddled with an unwanted pregnancy. That comes from the pits of hell.
The second is his philosophy that government should have ultimate power and the final authority over humans, not God. His view of government is nothing more that man trying to be God (like Satan), making people dependant on government. Government cannot steal freedom and liberty from the individual without being ungodly. It cannot set moral standards different than God´s and be right for the people.
Third is his disrespect for Family. Family is an institution created by God to provide a structured environment with a father and mother to procreate and raise children. Any other form of family is perverse and ungodly. Add to that Obama´s policies that are destroying the family by rewarding broken homes and unwed parents while punishing functioning homes.
Forth is his openly hatred or Christianity claiming Christians are racist bigots, and the cause of hatred between races. Christianity stands for moral standards, social stability and personal responsibility. Obama stands for none of these things. He is a liar, prideful, arrogant, divider, secularist and the only form of "Christianity" he accepts is that of Jeremiah Wright which preached Black Liberation Theology, pitting Blacks against Whites, hoping to produce a "collective salvation". That is not Christian.

Emesis without ipecac.

Zippy might have some type of faith, but it´s not faith in the God of Hebrew or Christian scripture, which would require for him to worship something outside himself, something holy. If he´s not still Islamic (his childhood religion) he´s certainly an Islamophile, judging by everything he´s done or said. And as I said above, reflecting on this hollow man´s alleged faith is sickening. Who but a lockstep toady would even think it?

Your problem gagolfer, besides being a site pest is you not telling the entire story (typical liberal)of Reagan and going to church. You are correct, he did say he didn´t want to interrupt others worship with all of his security. The difference between him and the muslim occupier is that he made this known immediately and didn´t make a big show of searching for the "right church".
Further proof liberalism is a mental disease.

Nothing is impossible with God. I think those of us who are Christian should pray for Obama and those around him. He is a child of God whether he believes it or not. He needs Christians to pray for him. I pray that Nancy Pelosi, Kathleen Sevelius, Joe Biden and John Kerry turn away from abortion and back to their Catholic faith.

Before continuing to berate me let me point out that in no way was I comparing the faith of Obama with that of RR. Frankly that is God´s business not mine and I will worry about The Lord and myself and not anyone else´s faith.

I simply was replying to #5 who had posted that to be a Christian one has to regularly attend public religious services and therefore Obama could not be a Christian. I asked since RR did not do so either as President could he be a Christian. I made no judgement that Obama was or was not a Christian or a Muslim or that RR was not a man of faith. Not my business. If I had to answer that question I would say RR was a Christian man of faith and I really have no idea what Obama is (nor does anyone here for that matter). I just gave a fact to one poster and the place goes crazy, obviously not really reading what I said to begin with. I loved RR and voted for him twice, btw, but a fact is a fact.

#62 - you´re a far better man than I to pray for that lot of scum. Moreover, they try to glorify themselves as they fight for the right to murder the most defenseless of all, as well as being wantonly dangerous to the entire inhabitants of the earth. Good thing you pray for them as I wish their demise (I´ll settle for their impotence). And they have no faith - its a charade to garner votes from the ignorant.

Judge deeds, not words. Obama displays no sense of Christianity.

Show me your baptismal certificate and I´ll believe you are a Christian.

Franklin Graham asked the president when exactly he had become a Christian and Obama replied that when he moved to Chicago he was advised that he had to join a church if he was going to be part of the black community. That is it. That is how he supposedly became a Christian, but merely attending a titular Christian church does not make you a member of the Body of Christ. When you convert as an adult your public expression of accepting the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ is when you undergo baptism and are formerly welcomed into the Church. So when did Obama ever do that?

However now you are re-writing history.

If you had made your original reply to #5 and then followed it with what you just posted I might understand. However you attacked RR again in your next post #46, and that is a fact YOU can look up. Man up, you posted it, live with it.

BO ought to read Psalm 139 while he´s trying to get some spirituality. He might gain some understanding and wisdom, ...and respect for life.

But, above all, he ought to review Exodus 20 and observe, beginning with the First Commandment: YHWH speaking, "I am the LORD your God... you shall have no other gods before Me... you shall make no carved images, or images of any kind..." dump those "HOPE" posters for starters.

So is the Muslim Brotherhood.
Most (maybe all) the Middle East conflicts are, to some degree, Sunni-Shi´ite conflicts. Not reported and not emphasized in our press, maybe not in any non-Islamic press.
I don´t have enough information to verify this, but I suspect that Obama takes the Sunni side in any Sunni-Shi´ite Middle East conflict. I know Morsi is Sunni and Assad associates with a branch of Shi´ite, for example.

Is there a single sapient being anywhere in our land who doesn’t know that the turbulence of our times is largely of the Current Occupant’s own making, and that the deepness of our national divide owes more to him than to anyone or anything else?

In a less cynical age, little Barry Soetoro would be standing in the well of the court, his parents’ blood on his hands, with his lawyers pleading for mercy for the poor orphaned boy.

It´s interesting that no mention was made of Obama´s "God bless Planned Parenthood" remarks earlier this year.

"As long as we´ve got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we´ve got to fight to protect a woman´s right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you´ve also got a president who´s going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way," said Obama. "Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you." The Weekly Standard, April 26, 2013

Or his disregard for religious beliefs re the HHS mandates.

The Obama administration said Friday that it will not provide broad exceptions to the contraception mandate in its signature healthcare law.

The Health and Human Services Department rejected calls to let any employer opt out of the mandate based on religious objections to contraception. But the department took new steps to remove religiously affiliated employers from the process of paying for their employees´ contraception coverage. The Hill, February 1, 2013

Or - denying Catholic priests access during the shutdown.

The U.S. military has furloughed as many as 50 Catholic chaplains due to the partial suspension of government services, banning them from celebrating weekend Mass. At least one chaplain was told that if he engaged in any ministry activity, he would be subjected to disciplinary action. Fox News, October 44, 2013

Or - reports of DOD classifying Christians as terrorists.

The Department of Defense classified Catholics and Evangelical Christians as religious extremists similar to Al-Qaeda, according to training materials obtained by the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty. Fox News, August 28, 2013

Sure he nurtures his faith right after he vacuums his prayer rug, puts his soup kettle shaped macramé hat on his pointed head, gets on his knees and then points his tail like a rocket for the moon and bangs his forehead on the ground. It was Zippy himself who tearfully told us the "the most beautiful sound in the world is the muslim call (screaming) to prayer at sundown.

What is this strident push all of a sudden to convince us this muslim pig and his muslim pig family are Christians? Why now?

And then reading on: "Every year on Aug. 4, the president´s birthday, Obama convenes a group of pastors by phone to receive their prayers for him for the year to come leaves me breathless. Almost as breathless as the rest of the article in which Zip includes Maya Angelou among religious leaders like—remember Maya, she became a poetess who jumped to rhyming words when being a whorehouse madam didn´t work. Zippy and Mooch think she´s so good that she wrote a poem—and to her everlasting shame she had the nerve to read it out loud at Zip´s first inauguration. If the word "awful" has degrees, Maya won first place for a piece of trash there isn´t one person in a billion who could tell you what it was all about.

But... the good news is that the liar in chief is nurturing his faith "away from the spotlight." If anyone believes that...

The first family attended Easter services Sunday at the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church, a Northwest Washington congregation that welcomed the Obamas on the eve of the president’s first inauguration. The Obamas’ motorcade left the White House shortly before 10 a.m. (Snip) The motorcade pulled up to the church, about four miles away, just after 10. The first family arrived through a tented entrance and sat in the second pew in a mostly, but not completely filled church, joining an estimated 250 others. The president wore a light khaki suit. CLEARWATER — In the mid-1970s, Wayne Phillips saw a television program telling the story of the Shroud of Turin, a centuries-old linen cloth that bears the image of a crucified man. At first, he was miffed. Years of Catholic schooling — Jesuit High School in Tampa and Notre Dame University — and he had never known about this artifact? (He would later learn that it was a delicate subject at the Vatican.) A doctor, he has a curious mind. A mind shaped by logic and by science. But as a Catholic, he understands some beliefs are still a mystery. He

California’s unemployment rate is rotten and holding steady. In March, according to the Los Angeles Times, the rate was 8.1%. In February, it was exactly the same. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the state only added 11,800 net new jobs in March, many of them in construction, government, education, and health services. The greatest gains were in professional and business services, with 3,100 new positions. But the jobs numbers in hospitality, manufacturing, and leisure dipped, and the biggest drop came in financial activities, as the slowing rate of mortgages forced banks to fire employees. Democrats don’t vote in midterm elections. That’s an exaggeration, of course, but the core of the Democratic coalition is made up of many people who turn out to vote only in presidential elections. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal
