Did the Obama administration
know Healthcare.gov would fail?

Daily Caller, by Brendan Bordelon

The British multinational in charge of processing Obamacare paper applications received a hefty contract boost just days before Healthcare.gov’s disastrous roll-out, a sign that the Obama administration may have expected serious problems with the website. The Business of Federal Technology (FCW) reports that on Sept. 26, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) increased their planned payout to Serco’s U.S. subsidiary by 75 percent, adding an extra $87 million to the $114 million promised for processing initial Obamacare enrollment applications. The contract documents do not explain the last-minute infusion of federal dollars, and neither Serco nor CMS would disclose why the

This time.....This time the MSM,the spying of the NSA, Google and Yahoo and the secreted overseas donations are unable to rescue Obama.

What is more, Cruz made sure that the republicans emphatically did not want any part of Obamacare.

Whats a WON to do???

The website has failed---

The entire Obamacare has failed--

And President Obama has failed---

And most of all the people who voted him in have failed!!!!!

The Daily Caller News Foundation previously reported that Serco, which stands to gain as much as $1.2 billion through a series of application-processing contracts with the Health and Human Services Department, is under investigation for serious fraud in its native United Kingdom.

So this White House hires a company with, to say the least, a dubious reputation, to fix something the White House broke? Well, color me aghast at such incompetence. In fact, color me purple with outrage over the rapidly-piling-up list of incompetent endeavors we taxpayers are paying for.

I do think O & Co. planned this to fail so that they could then scrap it and go directly for single-payer under the rubric of simplifying it "for the people".

What does Mr. Bordelon mean by asking if they knew it would fail? Of course they knew it. And if they didn´t, the stratospheric level of cognitive dissonance coming out of this White House is more than shocking. It´s criminal.

My take is that Obama knows exactly what
he´s doing. He´s not incompetent at all,
he has Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod
telling him what to do. Its part of the
overall scheme to bring collapse so
they and their Marxist collaborators
can rebuild the country the way they
want.

We better hope that the Republicans keep
the House and hopefully win the Senate
or we will be, most assuredly, screwed.

Since mortals can´t control them, it will eventually suck its creator Obama in with the rest of us.

I believe it was, as is, designed to fail.

The long term goal is to offer a plan that´s hard to access, hard to enroll, and hard to maintain.

A "broken" system would then need a "fix," and the solution would HAVE to be SINGLE PAYER-a one-size-fits-all program requiring EVERYONE to sign up for government health care.

It´s a plan right out of RULES FOR RADICALS, and the Cloward-Piven strategy.

Mark my words !

The liberals and progressives have to break the US healthcare insurance system before they can fix it. At this stage of the game Obama is doing what he said he would do, redistributing taxpayer´s money to the "community" and at the same time is promulgating all sorts of rules and regulations designed to put the health care insurance companies out of business.

There will never be a government run single payer socialized health care system in the USA that "EVERYONE" must recive their health care through, as if such a system is ever established there will always be a first class private health care system for the elites and the rich and famous who can pay for their own health care, and that is going to include an awful lot of the liberals and progressives who were behind the socialized government run health care system for everyone else.

I am sure Obama never intended that the insurance companies get a fair shake. He may well have known it would be unworkable and that he could then claim single payer would cure it.

Why would anyone that pays for their insurance not purchase one that meets their needs directly from an internet insurance company portal? Why purchase one with benefits required, but not needed, from a government exchange? That leaves only medicaid and pre-existing condition people on the government exchanges, who will get a subsidy.

#4 speaks to SERCO - this indeed is a company of dubious reputation - their name has come up before in connection to Obama and ?Soros - must repeat research on them. Poster is also on point that this health insurance website was designed to fail to hasten single payer government controlled health services - don´t be fooled by pretty words - this is yet another disaster rolling over us.

Try checking out the reviews for Serco at GlassDoor.com (or any other company you want to check.). Order the review results by date so you can get the latest first. The following url should take you straight to the reviews by date:

http://tinyurl.com/mn4knx8

Serco´s results are abysmal. Mr A says there´s a call center run by Serco not far from his office and the workers look "downtrodden," to say the least. They sit outside a lot, smoking cigarettes. When they go to or from the building, A says, they drag like they´re totally exhausted and depressed.

Read the locations of the 35 employees who gave their views, bearing in mind that for a good many English isn´t their first language. Seems like all the employees in India are working at call centers.

As for the techies who wrote reviews, Mr. A was employed by a local software company with very similar reviews. It almost killed him while he was trying to find another job to escape the toxic environment.

If this company´s workers are handling the call center part, it´s no wonder there´s such tangled chaos with the application process.

I think this is where Obama´s arrogance and narcissism is going to finally come back and bite him. He wanted this done and that´s all he cared about. He´s under the impression that if he wants something, he´ll get it. Reality is this was a foul up from early on. Nothing was done about it, because Obama wanted it, therefore it would appear. He lacks any executive experience or ability, so he cannot fix it.

As for the idea this was done deliberately to make single-payer come to be: some may have wanted that, but I think the reality is going to be that people are going to see how badly the government screwed this up, and will never agree to let them have more control.

Did the Obama admin. know that the Chevy Volt would become the next Ford Edsel? Of course they did. That´s why they tried to smear Toyota and that´s why they forced the taxpayers to buy a fleet of junk for government workers, junk on which nobody but delusional college professors could possibly want to spend forty thousand dollars.

Green boondoggles and pipe dreams are barry Obama´s specialty. If obamacare had been successful, it would put little barry in the history books as the underclass hero who created universal health care. If it had failed, which it did, he could always blame it on the republicans, which he did.

I am beginning to suspect - just suspect that Ted Cruz might be crazy like a fox. The easiest course for 0bama to help his 2014 chances was to postpone the implementation in return for raising of the debt ceiling till 2015. Sen. Cruz might have goaded him and Jarrett into making it a prestige point and lock themselves into this disaster. Time will tell..

Maybe if they just went to paper their troubles would be resolved. Then the Feds could award a ridiculous contract to a paper manufacturer and embezzle some more money. We could sign up at the post office or when we vote(while reality is fresh on their/our minds).

I think it wold be hazardous for any messenger to deliver bad news to Obama and most of his political appointees. Therefore I think the answer to this question is No and Yes. The people at the top did not know because they chose to be willfully ignorant. The mid and upper level career people knew and generally kept their mouths shut as they considered other personal alternatives.

Note that applications by federal employees seeking retirement have skyrocketed on 2013. The smartest worker bees often leave sick organizations before most outsiders can see the rot.

Obama is not a programmer or a information services administrator, so he would not, left to his own knowledge, understand that things were going bad. Still, there are plenty of persons in this program that have the necessary understanding to know that the software and computer systems would not function. He is responsible for this fiasco as the man in charge. The ACA is flawed not only in administration, it has economic flaws that will become apparent in the future.

Face it, Obama´s army can barely use a Smart Phone. The people who can use an online system want no part of Obamacare.

I´ve stated elsewhere that we are in the "freeloader" signup period. That requires face to face community organizers. They will fill out the forms, apply for subsidies and check the appropriate Democrat registration boxes. All the mark will have to do is to scribble their name at the bottom.

Al Capone wouldn´t have been so brazen.

Many are saying that Obama and his adminisation know exactly what they are doing and this is part of some grand scheme to destroy the country. I disagree. This is exactly the behavior of people who associate only with those who are like minded - unchallenged and unprepared.

"Stupid" decisions are usually made under duress, and the Adminisation is in the middle of a forest fire of their naiive making,

There are two things that are dooming Obamacare: a systemic failure and a structural failure. Systemic: I have been in the Federal IT market since 1992 and have seen no small number of IT systems rolled out into abject failure. These are due to the nature of the Federal procurement process and to the unnatural measurement metrics of federal program offices. Structural: Obamacare is nothing more that the Ponzi scheme Social Security system made much more immediate. And obvious.

These are the schemes of people who´s ideas are unchallenged.

Paying more and getting less while having no choice in the matter is "affordable"? And "reform"?

Only a certain caliber of mental incompetence can say that making things worse is an improvement.

But like the other astute L-dotters, I conclude that the Obamunists actually choreographed this entire stage full of collapsing dancers with broken legs, so they could "save us" with single-payer.

Which was the idea all along.

Doing a bit of research and it seems that there is a Serco North American subsidiary of the main company and its CEO is Ed Casey, who appears to be an American. Note the qualifiers. The way the material reads leads me to believe those responsible for the fiasco, debacle, disaster, fustercluck, call it what you want, are Americans.

Here´s a message from Casey: "Taking Pride in the Jobs We Do." Just a sec, have to clean the coffee off the screen. Okay, with a dry mouth and no more spurts of coffee, I give you the link to Ed Casey´s message:

Obama has been shooting from the hip since day one...with the help of the media. The stack of failed decisions have been accumulating, and the spinning has helped him skate thus far. However, the media will not be able to wash this one clean. Obamacare is exactly how Max Baucus described it will be... a train wreck. This is Obama´s equivalent to the Blue Dress.

The only thing Obama is good at is reading a devisive speech about the Tea Party or blaming Bush. That´s it. I don´t give him credit for much else. The word Amateur describes him perfectly.

#30 - I´m right there with you! Ever heard of RCAS?? Government had banks upon banks of AIDA coders writing scripts to creat what amounted to MS Office sitting on a Unix platform. We (the folks writing and illustrating the training) would go home and fire up Outlook to get in touch with others all the while shaking our heads at what we were creating at work. Oh, yeah, on top of that, the General´s Secretary had editorial control of the training text over the folks with Master´s Degrees in Instructional Design.

Don´t even get me started on this, with an Oracle DBA and years of software development with the gubment I could have developed, written, tested and deployed with a few colleagues in a miniscule amount of time and money.

Two years before the Boston Marathon bombing, the Russian government concealed key information on one of the killers that might have thwarted the attack, a new report charges.Kremlin officials intercepted a phone conversation in which Tamerlan Tsarnaev discussed Islamic jihad with his mother, but they withheld the information from the FBI, according to the U.S. inspector general report that comes as the one-year anniversary of the bombing approaches. Had the FBI been privy to the red-flag phone call, it would have prompted the bureau to take an extensive look at Tsarnaev, according to The New York Times. “Had they known what the

President Barack Obama is planning to sign two new executive actions aimed at narrowing the wage gap between men and women Tuesday, even as the Obama White House pays its female staffers less than men.The first executive action will be an order banning federal contractors from retaliation against employees who disclose or ask about their wages, according to reports. His other executive action will require federal contractors to submit data to the government about their employees compensation by sex and race. On Tuesday — the day advocates have labelled “Equal Pay Day” to symbolize the amount of time women have to

Fears that high-speed traders have been rigging the U.S. stock market went mainstream last week thanks to allegations in a book by financial author Michael Lewis, but there may be a more serious threat to investors: the increasing amount of trading that happens outside of exchanges. Some former regulators and academics say so much trading is now happening away from exchanges that publicly quoted prices for stocks on exchanges may no longer properly reflect where the market is. And this problem could cost investors far more money than any shenanigans related to high frequency trading. When the average investor, or even

It’s good Gov. Cuomo understands New York has a problem with cigarette smuggling. Too bad he has yet to figure out what’s really driving the problem of illegal smokes: our high tobacco taxes.Just days after a key report found New York has the highest percentage of illegal cigarettes of any state, the governor announced the creation of a new “strike force” meant to crack down.Teams from 13 state, local and federal agencies, he said, are joining to stop “the influx of counterfeit and untaxed tobacco products into New York” and nab smugglers who “evade the law and rob the state

After his health-care law surpassed the low-ball enrollment target of 7 million, President Obama staged a Rose Garden rally and zinged doubters: “Armageddon has not arrived.” At least he did not declare: “Mission Accomplished.”The country is years from knowing whether Obama’s overhaul of the health-care system fulfills the promise of delivering universal coverage. While large numbers of Americans have found the program very advantageous, including people who were formerly uninsured, many others have been forced to change plans or change doctors — contrary to Obama’s repeated promises.Obama tacitly admits the unintended consequences every time he waives a deadline or mandate in

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

The author of the Twilight of Abundance, David Archibald, sent an email a few days ago, saying “there is a whole new world coming.” Archibald, who’s an Australian, warns in his book that the world is running out of food, energy and security. Where he differs from Malthus, however, is in arguing that the shortages are the consequence of policy, rather than the inherent limitations of the universe. The world is doing everything it can to run in the opposite direction of abundance because we think we have too much. The West dreads warmer weather, even though warmer weather might

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

First, the good news: We are close enough to the end of the Obama presidency for his crowd to talk about a presidential library. Now, the bad news: Obama´s retirement is still 1,008 days distant. Plenty of time though to round up the dough to build it somewhere. Figure they need Solyndra-style money, at least $500 million. The last two presidents – Bill Clinton and George W. Bush -- built their legacy edifices totally with private money. [Snip] However, Obama supporters have a different take. They think taxpayers should put up $100 million in public money for Obama´s library.

Less than 16 hours after Chelsea Clinton announced she was pregnant, a lot of major news outlets started staring into the crystal ball of Chelsea’s womb, wondering what this currently floating zygotic multicellular being meant for the prospects of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, which is also a floating, zygotic, multicellular being. And no, it’s not just the fact that having a grandchild could be personally fulfilling to Hillary and Bill (mazel tov, by the way), or that a cute baby would be a sweet cherry on top of Hillary’s already
