Obama to House: Now Let´s
Negotiate Citizenship for Illegals

In a statement delivered from the White House this morning, President Barack Obama said that now that Congress has enacted a continuing resolution to fund the government--that includes funding to implement Obamacare--he would like to negotiate with the House with the aim of enacting the immigration bill passed by the Senate earlier this year. The key provision in that Senate bill would allow illegal aliens currently in the United States to become legal residents here and get on a "path to citizenship." Critics of the "path to citizenship" call it an "amnesty" because it lets foreign nationals breaking U.S. law--including U.S. immigration

Anyone want to join my betting pool on how long it will take the Republican "leaders" in the House and Senate to surrender and fold on this one too???

The pushy, nasty attitude of illegals along with their demands tick me off.
Our American Veterans were shut out of the Mall, while illegals get a stage built by the SEIU to have a "protest" under the protective services of the National Park Service!
Illegals are thieves stealing our resources and what do we get in return? Destruction of our culture and our language, ever increasing taxes for over burdened schools, higher costs for food stamps, Obamacare, WIC.
How about putting Americans and their needs above illegal aliens. Obama and the entire gov´t are ignoring existing laws regarding illegals and I HATE that.

Not me #2, I´m sure they have already caved. The leadership will just put up a token show of resistance, long enough to give the MSM enough time to bash Conservatives and the Tea Party and then Paul Ryan´s plan will be offered.
If it wasn´t so serious it would be hysterically funny.

#2, the French Army is pretty tough, I wouldn´t want to find myself in a nose to knucke imbroglio with them. Unfortunately their leadership is cut from an entirely different cloth. Like too many organizations throughout history the stalwart and unbending rabble do all the fighting, scrounging and suffering only to be sold out by their "betters".

Yeah! Let´s do that! And right now! Why waste our time even TRYING to formulate a plan to stop Obama? It doesn´t matter what we do, the Republicans will always have their answer ready: "We can´t win. This isn´t going to work. It´s a waste of time." So let´s just take them at their word. Nobody wants to waste their time, do they? So why should we spend one second on putting on a little show just so the establishment can have their "I told you so" moment once they´ve systematically choked off every possible outcome but failure.

If the Republicans just had to battle the Demon-RATS straight up, the Republicans would win every time.

The Republicans have logic, reason and facts on their side. The Demon-RATS just have emotion and feelings as the basis for everything they believe in.

Sadly, the Demon-RATS also have the entire MSM on their side, and that is a wall too huge for the Republicans to have a prayer to defeat.

Why do I feel like a Jew living in Berlin in 1937 about now...

#6, and others, it isn´t amnesty if they have to go to the back of the line, and wait for processing like others already in line.

Amnesty was in 1986, and shouldn´t happen again.

Now, we should be championing the idea of a legal process for increasing immigration. After all, that´s what most on the right want - the process to be legal.
It´s broken now, and it´s barely a misdomeanor for entering the country illegally, so let´s do it in a way that won´t make people think Republicans hate people of color, which is what the Democrats want to do on the heels of the debt debacle.

We should not just limit this to Hispanics or the H1B visa(tech company)folks.

We should be championing the new legal process for 50 million new US citizens from around the world over the next 20-25 years.
People from China, India, Vietnam, Russia, Germany, and a host of other countries.

Lift the current limits, and bring in a large group looking to achieve the American dream.

Having just called Republican lawmakers "terrorists, arsonists, kidnapers, hostage takers, baby killers, kamikaze pilots (and) suicide bombers," he and his party think a House Republican committee chair so recently charmed by these insults would now move the Senate bill to a vote in committee, a majority of the Republican caucus would approve it, and Boehner would bring it to the floor for a vote? Really? Because they are afraid of what, more name-calling?

Obama may be able to hang on to the ACA, but his remaining legislative agenda is DOA as long as the Republicans control the House. Because the Senate has already passed its immigration bill, the contents are yesterday´s news, with no place to build momentum.

I have to feel for people who will sacrifice everything in order to come to the USA. They are trying to provide for themselves and their families. The caveat is, do it legally. Obama is offering amnesty only because he feels that it will add millions of votes to the Democrat rolls. That is the one and only reason.

For the past 40+ years, (thanks Teddy Kennedy) we´ve been allowing anybody, and I mean anybody, to come to the US - anybody, that is, except for white Europeans, for them, much, much harder to immigrate. It´s time to shut off the south of the border, ME and Africa spigots, and open up the European spigot again - but only accept the top notch applicants; need ´em to balance out the third-world bottom of the pile types we´ve been allowing in for decades that immediately go on welfare.

Obama could care less about citizenship for illegal aliens, what he really wants them to have is US voting rights, knowing that historically poor, generally uneducated low wage earning illegal aliens, once legalized with US voting rights have always voted for the Democrats in percentiles up to 85%. That´s what Obama and the Democrats say is their bottom line when talking about immigration reform. The Republicans would have to be political idiots to go along with any such legalization program, as if they do, in parts of the country the Republicans will not be able to get a dogcatcher elected once they are overwhelmed by tens of millions of new foreign born Democrat voters in the years ahead.

Republicans who support the liberal Democrat designed immigration reform plan do that for one reason, they see it as a vehicle to flood the US labor market with cheap foreign labor. The Democrat bill would either legalize or allow into the USA as estimated 30 million foreign workers within the next decade to compete with American workers for just about every scarce job out there across the entire US economy.

If the Republicans go along to get along with Obama they will find that besides all the new foreign born Democrat voters who will make it impossible for the Republicans to win national elections that they will also be opposed by millions of American workers who have been displaced from their jobs or who have seen their wages diminished because of the massive influx of cheap foreign labor that is the bottom line for the Republicans who support Obama amnesty plan.

The GOP has been hijacked. That’s right, hijacked. Over the past 100 years, an elite progressive minority has taken the Republican Party far afield from its conservative platform and the interests and values of its grassroots conservative base. I’ll admit that, in the aftermath of the disappointments of the 2012 elections, conservatives like me are angry. We are angry at being blamed for Mitt Romney’s defeat, when we argued from the beginning that he was a Big Government establishment politician and that if he ran a content-free campaign, he would lose. We are angry at the disrespect shown to limited-government constitutional conservatives

She no doubt had to make some tough decisions while at State, and has at least one big decision to make coming up in the next year or so. But the former Cabinet member and possible future presidential candidate may have been better served by a different title—like, say, Tough Decisions. Because Hard Choices has already been used. President Obama is suddenly upset about the alleged wage gap between men and women, but he´s not responding to a national economic crisis. Instead, he is attempting to revive the "war on women" theme that, according to Washington wisdom, helped carry Democrats to victory in 2012 and might do again in 2014. If this narrative were true, the White House could spend the year demonizing Republicans as women-hating creeps, driving women to the polls in November and helping the party hold the Senate. But the conventional analysis isn´t accurate. National exit polls from 2012 show scant success for the war-on-women

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

I live in Las Vegas. I live and breath Nevada politics. Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in the Nevada desert. And Senator Harry Reid’s fingerprints are all over it. I am of course referring to the Bundy Ranch siege. This was a dispute between a Nevada ranching family with rights to the land in question for 140 years and the BLM (Bureayu of Land Management). The government claims they haven’t paid grazing fees for 20 years. The result was a government assault on the ranch- including snipers with assault rifles, SUV’s, helicopters, airplanes and over 200 heavily armed troops. No

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

FORT WORTH — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis will undergo neck surgery today, her campaign said Tuesday. “After experiencing shoulder and right arm pain in recent weeks, Sen. Davis will have a routine surgical procedure to remove bone spurs and degenerative discs that are creating compression on the nerves in her neck,” campaign spokesman Zac Petkanas said in a statement Tuesday. “This is a common issue experienced by runners and endurance athletes,” he said. Davis, of Fort Worth, will undergo the outpatient surgery at the Fort Worth Brain and Spine Institute. Dr. Thomas Ellis will perform the

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,
