Ann Coulter rips Liz Cheney,
GOP ‘shysters’

Politico, by Lucy McCalmont

Original Article

Posted By:PageTurner, 10/15/2013 10:09:04 AM

Conservative firebrand Ann Coulter lashed out at Liz Cheney for waging a primary challenge and attacked “hucksters, shysters” who she said are hijacking the GOP. “The problem is we have hucksters, shysters, people ripping off the Republican Party for their own self-aggrandizement, for their own egos, to make money,” Coulter said on Fox News’s “Hannity.” “I would put Todd Akin, Newt Gingrich, Liz Cheney, Mark Sanford all in the same boat, and the consultants who persuaded Linda McMahon and John Raese to run,” she added. Coulter continued her criticism of Cheney, who is challenging incumbent Sen. Mike Enzi in the Republican primary

Comments:
Ann has won my respect. I agree with her that Liz Cheney is a great conservative, but now is not the the time to go after Republicans. It´s time to go after THEM - the rabid left.

I agree with Coulter. There´s no point in primarying Enzi; he´s one of the most reliably conservative senators we have.

Here we go again. Letting Politico put its spoon in our pot and do the stirring. Politico is the last place anyone should look to for news, espcially news about the Republican party, unless, of course, you are one of those "discerning adults" who traffic in and around Lucianne.

If you really feel that way, Ann, then donate all your royalties, speaking fees and TV appearance money to the RNC, NRCC and NRSC. Then take a very long vacation, say until 2017. Otherwise shut up for a change. Your bombastic schtick is getting old and tired. As for your judgment about politicians, first Romney and then Christie have proven it is sadly deficient.

I disagree with Coulter who is saying something akin to ´Do as I say, not as I do´. She is attacking a fellow Republican rather than just letting the two candidates duke it out. Coulter´s use of defamation is truly disgusting. One minute she loves Christie, next she can´t stand him and if he should unfortunately become our nominee, she will jump right back on the bandwagon no matter how bad his record is in NJ.

Poster #18 ... while you are correct in your desire to see McCain gone, he was just re-elected. He´s got another 5 years before he comes up again.

Ann Coulter still amuses me when she rips into liberals, leftists, commiecrats, and other evil sociopathologists.

But when she turns her well-phrased vitriol on conservatives.... she sinks in esteem like a lead ball.

I would MUCH rather see Liz Cheney, fighting the true conservative fight, in the Senate than Enzi, who has managed to remain SO FAR back on the bench that I knew nothing about him, until HIS internet sales tax.

NOT a good recommendation for me to want to see him stick around.

Not happy with Enzi´s failures to be more conservative. But Liz Cheney has disappointed me more with her weak (non-existent) "support" for Israel.

As for Coulter´s inexplicable romance with Gov. Christie, I have convinced myself that it´s an inside joke. She knows that "support" from her is poison with moderates and the left. I think she will eventually reveal that it has been a joke all along.

At least 12 people are dead and more than 2,000 homes have been destroyed by a large fire that wreaked havoc over the weekend in Valparaiso, Chile. Some 10,000 people have been forced to evacuate parts of the port city. Government spokesman Álvaro Elizalde says those figures are likely to go up as the fire continues to burn. The fire has been driven by strong winds, and efforts to fight the flames also have been complicated by the area´s steep terrain and lack of essential infrastructure, as NPR´s Lourdes Garcia-Navarro reports for our Newscast unit. Amnesty: President Obama often laments "our broken immigration system" as a reason for his failure to enforce its laws. But as a wave of illegals is about to descend here, the hard fact is that it´s his own policies that broke it. The nonpartisan Inter-American Development Bank and the Migration Policy Institute both reported optimal conditions for a big wave of illegal immigration into the U.S. from Mexico and Central America soon. Based on the slowdown in China´s economy, a recovery in U.S. low-skilled jobs such as construction, and rising U.S. interest rates, it´s fair enough.

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
